1 Samuel 18
1 And it was when finished he to speak to Saul and [the] self of Jonathan it was bound with [the] self of David (and he loved him *Q(k)*) Jonathan like own self his.
Kaum hatte er sein Gespräch mit Saul beendigt, da band sich Jonatans Seele an die Davids. Und Jonatan liebte ihn wie sich selbst.
2 And he took him Saul on the day that and not he permitted him to return [the] house of father his.
Saul aber nahm ihn an jenem Tag zu sich und ließ ihn nicht mehr in sein Vaterhaus zurückkehren.
3 And he made Jonathan and David a covenant in love his him like own self his.
Jonatan schloß nun mit David einen Bund, weil er ihn liebte wie sich selbst.
4 And he stripped himself Jonathan the robe which [was] on him and he gave it to David and garments his and to sword his and to bow his and to belt his.
Dabei zog Jonatan den Mantel aus, den er trug, und gab ihn David, dazu seinen Waffenrock, sein Schwert, seinen Bogen und seinen Gürtel.
5 And he went out David in every where he sent him Saul he prospered and he appointed him Saul over [the] men of war and it was good in [the] eyes of all the people and also in [the] eyes of [the] servants of Saul.
David zog nun überall hin, wohin ihn Saul sandte, und hatte dabei Glück. So setzte ihn Saul über die Kriegsleute. Und er ward beliebt beim ganzen Volke und selbst bei Sauls Dienern.
6 And it was when came they when returned David from striking down the Philistine and they came out the women from all [the] cities of Israel (to sing *Q(k)*) and the dancing to meet Saul the king with tambourines with joy and with three-stringed instruments.
Als sie nun bei Davids Rückkehr nach des Philisters Besiegung heimkamen, gingen die Weiber aus allen Städten Israels dem König Saul entgegen, singend und tanzend, mit Pauken, unter Jubel und mit Zimbeln.
7 And they sang the women who were playing and they said he has struck down Saul (thousands his *Q(K)*) and David ten thousands his.
Und die spielenden Weiber hoben an und sprachen: "Saul hat seine Tausend erschlagen, David aber Zehntausend."
8 And it burned to Saul exceedingly and it was displeasing in view his the matter this and he said they have ascribed to David ten thousands and to me they have ascribed the thousands and yet for him only the kingship.
Da wurde Saul sehr zornig. Denn dies Wort mißfiel ihm. Er sprach: "David geben sie Zehntausend und mir geben sie die Tausend. Nun fehlt ihm nur noch das Königtum."
9 And he was Saul (looking at *Q(K)*) David from the day that and onwards.
Und so blickte Saul argwöhnisch auf David von jenem Tag an und weiterhin.
10 And it was from [the] next day and it rushed a spirit of God - evil - to Saul and he prophesied in [the] midst of the house and David [was] playing an instrument with hand his as a day - in a day and the spear [was] in [the] hand of Saul.
Am anderen Morgen kam ein böser Gottesgeist über Saul, und er raste im Innern des Hauses. David spielte nun die Zither wie jeden Tag; Saul aber hielt den Speer in der Hand.
11 And he threw Saul the spear and he said I will strike David and the wall and he went around David from before him two times.
Da schwang Saul den Speer und dachte: "Ich will David an die Wand spießen." David aber wich zweimal vor ihm aus.
12 And he was afraid Saul from to before David for he was Yahweh with him and from with Saul he had turned aside.
Saul fürchtete sich nun vor David. Denn der Herr war mit ihm; von Saul aber war er gewichen.
13 And he removed him Saul from with him and he appointed him for himself a commander of a thousand and he went out and he came before the people.
Saul aber entfernte ihn von sich und machte ihn zum Obersten von Tausend. So zog er an der Spitze des Volkes aus und ein.
14 And he was David to all (ways his *Q(K)*) successful and Yahweh [was] with him.
David aber hatte Glück auf allen seinen Wegen. Denn der Herr war mit ihm.
15 And he saw Saul that he [was] successful exceedingly and he was afraid of him.
Als Saul sah, daß er großes Glück hatte, graute es ihm vor ihm.
16 And all Israel and Judah [were] loving David for he [was] going out and [was] coming before them.
Ganz Israel und Juda aber liebten David; denn er rückte vor ihnen aus und ein.
17 And he said Saul to David here! daughter my elder Merab her I will give to you to a wife only become of me a son of strength and fight [the] battles of Yahweh and Saul he said may not it be hand my on him and let it be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Nun sprach Saul zu David: "Ich gebe dir meine älteste Tochter Merab zum Weibe. Nur sei mir ein Held und führe des Herrn Kämpfe!" Saul aber dachte: Ich selbst mag nicht Hand an ihn legen. Dies mögen die Philister tun!
18 And he said David to Saul who? [am] I and who? [are] kinsfolk my [the] clan of father my in Israel that I will be a son-in-law of the king.
David aber sprach zu Saul: "Wer bin ich und wer ist meine Sippe, meines Vaters Geschlecht in Israel, daß ich des Königs Schwiegersohn würde?"
19 And it was at [the] time gave Merab [the] daughter of Saul to David and she she was given to Adriel the Meholathite to a wife.
Zu jener Zeit aber, da Sauls Tochter Merab dem David gegeben werden sollte, ward sie dem Mecholatiten Adriel zum Weibe gegeben.
20 And she loved Michal [the] daughter of Saul David and people told to Saul and it was pleasing the matter in view his.
Sauls Tochter Mikal aber liebte David. Man sagte es Saul, und die Sache war ihm recht.
21 And he said Saul I will give her to him so she may become for him a snare so it may be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines and he said Saul to David in two [times] you will be a son-in-law to me this day.
Saul dachte nämlich: "Ich gebe sie ihm, daß sie ihm zum Fallstrick werde und der Philister Hand über ihn komme." So sprach Saul zu David: "Du kannst noch heute schnell mein Schwiegersohn werden."
22 And he commanded Saul (servants his *Q(K)*) speak to David in secrecy saying here! he delights in you the king and all servants his they love you and therefore be son-in-law to the king.
Und Saul befahl seinen Dienern: "Redet mit David im stillen also: 'Der König hat an dir Gefallen, und seine Diener lieben dich! So verschwägere dich mit dem König!'"
23 And they spoke [the] servants of Saul in [the] ears of David the words these and he said David ¿ trifling in view your [is] to be son-in-law to the king and I [am] a man poor and lightly esteemed.
Solches redeten Sauls Diener David vor. Da sprach David. "Dünkt es euch gering, des Königs Schwiegersohn zu werden? Ich bin doch ein armer und geringer Mann."
24 And they told [the] servants of Saul to him saying according to the words these he spoke David.
Da meldeten Sauls Diener ihm: "So und so hat David gesprochen."
25 And he said Saul thus you will say to David not delight [belongs] to the king in bride-price for for a hundred foreskins of Philistines to avenge himself on [the] enemies of the king and Saul he planned to make fall David by [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Da sprach Saul: "So sollt ihr zu David sagen: 'Der König wünscht keinen anderen Brautpreis als hundert Philisterglieder, um sich an des Königs Feinden zu rächen.'" Saul aber rechnete damit, durch der Philister Hand David zu stürzen.
26 And they told servants his to David the words these and it was pleasing the matter in [the] eyes of David to be son-in-law to the king and not they were completed the days.
Seine Diener meldeten nun David diese Worte, und David gefiel die Sache, des Königs Schwiegersohn zu werden. Noch war die Zeit nicht vorüber,
27 And he arose David and he went - he and men his and he struck down among the Philistines two hundred man and he brought David foreskins their and people gave in full them to the king to be son-in-law to the king and he gave to him Saul Michal daughter his to a wife.
da zog David mit seinen Männern aus und schlug unter den Philistern 200 Mann. Und David brachte ihre Glieder und zählte sie dem Könige vor, um des Königs Schwiegersohn zu werden. Da gab ihm Saul seine Tochter Mikal zum Weibe.
28 And he saw Saul and he knew that Yahweh [was] with David and Michal [the] daughter of Saul she loved him.
Saul aber sah und erkannte, daß der Herr mit David war und daß Sauls Tochter Mikal ihn liebte.
29 And he increased Saul to be afraid of David again and he was Saul an enemy David all the days.
Da fürchtete sich Saul noch mehr vor David. So ward Saul für alle Zeit der Feind Davids.
30 And they went out [the] commanders of [the] Philistines and it was - as often as went out they he was successful David more than all [the] servants of Saul and it was esteemed name his exceedingly.
Die Philisterfürsten zogen nun aus. Sobald sie aber auszogen, hatte David mehr Glück als alle anderen Diener Sauls, und sein Name ward hochgeehrt.
