1 Samuel 18
1 And it was when finished he to speak to Saul and [the] self of Jonathan it was bound with [the] self of David (and he loved him *Q(k)*) Jonathan like own self his.
Davide atatha kuyankhula ndi Sauli, mtima wa Yonatani unagwirizana ndi mtima wa Davide, ndipo iye ankamukonda Davide monga momwe ankadzikondera yekha.
2 And he took him Saul on the day that and not he permitted him to return [the] house of father his.
Choncho Sauli anamusunga Davideyo kuyambira tsiku limenelo ndipo sanamulole kuti abwerere ku nyumba ya abambo ake.
3 And he made Jonathan and David a covenant in love his him like own self his.

4 And he stripped himself Jonathan the robe which [was] on him and he gave it to David and garments his and to sword his and to bow his and to belt his.
Yonatani anavula mkanjo umene anavala ndipo anamupatsa Davide pamodzi ndi zovala za nkhondo, lupanga, uta ndi lamba.
5 And he went out David in every where he sent him Saul he prospered and he appointed him Saul over [the] men of war and it was good in [the] eyes of all the people and also in [the] eyes of [the] servants of Saul.
Davide ankapita kulikonse kumene Sauli ankamutuma kuti apite kukamenya nkhondo, ndipo ankapambana. Choncho Sauli anamupatsa udindo woyangʼanira gulu lankhondo. Ichi chinakondweretsa anthu onse ngakhalenso atsogoleri a nkhondo a Sauli.
6 And it was when came they when returned David from striking down the Philistine and they came out the women from all [the] cities of Israel (to sing *Q(k)*) and the dancing to meet Saul the king with tambourines with joy and with three-stringed instruments.
Anthu akubwerera kwawo Davide atapha Mfilisiti uja, amayi anatuluka mʼmizinda yonse ya Israeli, akuyimba ndi kuvina kukachingamira mfumu Sauli. Ankayimba ndi kuvina mokondwa, kwinaku ngʼoma ndi zitoliro zikulira.
7 And they sang the women who were playing and they said he has struck down Saul (thousands his *Q(K)*) and David ten thousands his.
Amayiwo ankalandizana nyimbo mokondwera namati: “Sauli wapha 1,000, Koma Davide wapha miyandamiyanda.”
8 And it burned to Saul exceedingly and it was displeasing in view his the matter this and he said they have ascribed to David ten thousands and to me they have ascribed the thousands and yet for him only the kingship.
Koma Sauli anapsa mtima kwambiri ndipo mawu amenewa anamuyipira. Iye anati, “Iwo amuwerengera Davide miyandamiyanda, koma ine 1,000 okha. Nanga chatsalanso nʼchiyani kuti atenge? Si ufumu basi?”
9 And he was Saul (looking at *Q(K)*) David from the day that and onwards.
Ndipo kuyambira tsiku limeneli Sauli ankamuchitira nsanje Davide.
10 And it was from [the] next day and it rushed a spirit of God - evil - to Saul and he prophesied in [the] midst of the house and David [was] playing an instrument with hand his as a day - in a day and the spear [was] in [the] hand of Saul.
Mmawa mwake mzimu woyipa uja unabwera mwamphamvu pa Sauli. Sauli anayamba kubwebweta mʼnyumba mwake. Davide ankamuyimbira zeze monga nthawi zonse. Sauli anali ndi mkondo mʼdzanja lake.
11 And he threw Saul the spear and he said I will strike David and the wall and he went around David from before him two times.
Tsono anawuponya mkondowo, namati mu mtima mwake, “Ndimubaya Davide ndi kumukhomera ku khoma.” Koma Davide anawulewa kawiri konse.
12 And he was afraid Saul from to before David for he was Yahweh with him and from with Saul he had turned aside.
Pambuyo pake Sauli amamuopa Davide chifukwa Yehova anali ndi Davideyo, nʼkumusiya Sauli.
13 And he removed him Saul from with him and he appointed him for himself a commander of a thousand and he went out and he came before the people.
Kotero Sauli anamuchotsa Davide pamaso pake ndi kumuyika kukhala mtsogoleri wa ankhondo 1,000. Choncho Davide ankapita ndi kubwera akutsogolera ankhondowa.
14 And he was David to all (ways his *Q(K)*) successful and Yahweh [was] with him.
Davide ankapambana kwambiri pa chilichonse chimene amachita chifukwa Yehova anali naye.
15 And he saw Saul that he [was] successful exceedingly and he was afraid of him.
Sauli ataona momwe Davide ankapambanira, iye anamuopa kwambiri.
16 And all Israel and Judah [were] loving David for he [was] going out and [was] coming before them.
Koma Aisraeli onse ndi anthu a Yuda ankamukonda Davide chifukwa ankawatsogolera pa nkhondo zawo.
17 And he said Saul to David here! daughter my elder Merab her I will give to you to a wife only become of me a son of strength and fight [the] battles of Yahweh and Saul he said may not it be hand my on him and let it be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Tsiku lina Sauli anawuza Davide kuti, “Nayu Merabi mwana wanga wamkazi wamkulu. Ine ndakupatsa kuti umukwatire. Koma unditumikire molimba mtima pomenya nkhondo za Yehova.” Poteropo Sauli ankanena kuti, “Ndisamuphe ndi manja angawa koma aphedwe ndi Afilisti!”
18 And he said David to Saul who? [am] I and who? [are] kinsfolk my [the] clan of father my in Israel that I will be a son-in-law of the king.
Ndipo Davide anati kwa Sauli, “Ine ndine yani, ndipo abale anga kapena banja la abambo anga ndife yani mʼdziko la Israeli kuti ndikhale mpongozi wa mfumu?”
19 And it was at [the] time gave Merab [the] daughter of Saul to David and she she was given to Adriel the Meholathite to a wife.
Koma pa nthawi yoti Merabi mwana wa Sauli akwatiwe ndi Davide, Sauli anamupereka kwa Adrieli wa ku Mehola kuti amukwatire.
20 And she loved Michal [the] daughter of Saul David and people told to Saul and it was pleasing the matter in view his.
Koma Mikala mwana wamkazi wa Sauli anamukonda Davide ndipo Sauli atamva za zimenezi, anakondwera.
21 And he said Saul I will give her to him so she may become for him a snare so it may be on him [the] hand of [the] Philistines and he said Saul to David in two [times] you will be a son-in-law to me this day.
Sauli ankaganiza kuti, “Ndimupatse amukwatire kuti akhale ngati msampha kwa Davideyo, ndipo adzaphedwe ndi Afilisti.” Choncho Sauli anawuza Davide kachiwiri, “Tsopano udzakhala mkamwini wanga.”
22 And he commanded Saul (servants his *Q(K)*) speak to David in secrecy saying here! he delights in you the king and all servants his they love you and therefore be son-in-law to the king.
Sauli analamulanso nduna zake kuti, “Muyankhuleni Davide mwamseri ndi kumuwuza kuti, ‘Taona, mfumu imakondwera nawe, ndipo nduna zake zonse zimakukonda. Tsono ukhale mkamwini wa mfumu.’”
23 And they spoke [the] servants of Saul in [the] ears of David the words these and he said David ¿ trifling in view your [is] to be son-in-law to the king and I [am] a man poor and lightly esteemed.
Iwo anakamuwuza Davide mawu amenewa, koma Davide anati, “Kodi inu mukuganiza kuti ndi chinthu chapafupi kukhala mpongozi wa mfumu? Ine ndine wosauka ndiponso wosatchuka.”
24 And they told [the] servants of Saul to him saying according to the words these he spoke David.
Nduna za Sauli zinamuwuza zonse zimene anayankha Davide.
25 And he said Saul thus you will say to David not delight [belongs] to the king in bride-price for for a hundred foreskins of Philistines to avenge himself on [the] enemies of the king and Saul he planned to make fall David by [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Sauli anayankha kuti, “Kamuwuzeni Davide kuti, ‘Mfumu sikufuna malowolo a mtundu wina uliwonse koma timakungu ta msonga za mavalo a Afilisti 100 kuti ilipsire adani ake.’” Maganizo a Sauli anali akuti Davide aphedwe ndi Afilisti.
26 And they told servants his to David the words these and it was pleasing the matter in [the] eyes of David to be son-in-law to the king and not they were completed the days.
Nduna za Saulizo zitamuwuza Davide zimenezi, anakondwera kuti akhale mpongozi wa mfumu. Koma nthawi imene anapatsidwa isanathe,
27 And he arose David and he went - he and men his and he struck down among the Philistines two hundred man and he brought David foreskins their and people gave in full them to the king to be son-in-law to the king and he gave to him Saul Michal daughter his to a wife.
Davide ndi anyamata ake anapita ndi kukapha Afilisti 200. Iye anabwera ndi timakungu tija natipereka tonse kwa mfumu kuti akhale mpongozi wa mfumu. Kotero Sauli anapereka mwana wake wamkazi, Mikala, kwa Davide kuti amukwatire.
28 And he saw Saul and he knew that Yahweh [was] with David and Michal [the] daughter of Saul she loved him.
Sauli atazindikira kuti Yehova anali ndi Davide ndiponso kuti mwana wake Mikala amamukonda Davide,
29 And he increased Saul to be afraid of David again and he was Saul an enemy David all the days.
iye anapitirirabe kumuopa Davide ndi kumadana naye moyo wake wonse.
30 And they went out [the] commanders of [the] Philistines and it was - as often as went out they he was successful David more than all [the] servants of Saul and it was esteemed name his exceedingly.
Nthawi zonse pamene atsogoleri a Afilisti ankatuluka kukamenya nkhondo, Davide ankapambana kuposa nduna zonse za Sauli. Choncho dzina lake linatchuka kwambiri.
