1 Samuel 15
1 And he said Samuel to Saul me he sent Yahweh to anoint you to king over people his over Israel and therefore listen to [the] voice of [the] words of Yahweh.
Samuel dit à Saül: « Yahvé m'a envoyé pour t'oindre comme roi sur son peuple, sur Israël. Écoute donc maintenant la voix des paroles de Yahvé.
2 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I have paid attention to [that] which it did Amalek to Israel [that] which it set to it on the way when came up it from Egypt.
L'Éternel des armées dit: Je me souviens de ce qu'Amalek a fait à Israël, comment il s'est dressé contre lui sur le chemin de sa montée d'Égypte.
3 Now go and you will attack Amalek and you will totally destroy all that [belongs] to it and not you must have compassion on it and you will put to death from a man unto a woman from a child and unto a suckling-child from an ox and unto a sheep from a camel and unto a donkey.
Maintenant, va frapper Amalek, et détruis tout ce qui lui appartient, sans l'épargner; tue l'homme et la femme, l'enfant et le nourrisson, le bœuf et le mouton, le chameau et l'âne ».
4 And he summoned Saul the people and he mustered them at Telaim two hundred thousand foot soldier[s] and ten thousand with man of Judah.
Saül convoqua le peuple et le compta à Télaïm, deux cent mille hommes de pied et dix mille hommes de Juda.
5 And he came Saul to [the] city of Amalek and he lay in wait in the wadi.
Saül arriva à la ville d'Amalek, et tendit une embuscade dans la vallée.
6 And he said Saul to the Kenite[s] go depart go down from among [the] Amalekite[s] lest I should destroy you with it and you you did loyalty with all [the] people of Israel when came up they from Egypt and it departed [the] Kenite[s] from among Amalek.
Saül dit aux Kéniens: « Allez, partez, descendez du milieu des Amalécites, de peur que je ne vous détruise avec eux, car vous avez fait preuve de bonté envers tous les enfants d'Israël lorsqu'ils sont montés d'Égypte. » Les Kéniens s'en allèrent donc du milieu des Amalécites.
7 And he attacked Saul Amalek from Havilah coming you Shur which [is] on [the] face of Egypt.
Saül frappa les Amalécites, depuis Havila en allant vers Shur, qui est en face de l'Égypte.
8 And he seized Agag [the] king of Amalek alive and all the people he totally destroyed to [the] mouth of [the] sword.
Il prit vivant Agag, roi des Amalécites, et il dévora tout le peuple au fil de l'épée.
9 And he had compassion Saul and the people on Agag and on [the] best of the sheep and the cattle and the second and on the lambs and on all the good and not they were willing to totally destroy them and all the property despised and worthless it they totally destroyed.
Mais Saül et le peuple épargnèrent Agag et les meilleurs des brebis, des bœufs, des veaux gras, des agneaux, et tout ce qui était bon, et ne voulurent pas les dévouer par interdit; mais ils dévouèrent par interdit tout ce qui était vil et immonde.
10 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Samuel saying.
Et la parole de Yahvé fut adressée à Samuel, en ces termes:
11 I regret that I have made king Saul to king for he has turned back from after me and words my not he has carried out and it burned to Samuel and he cried out to Yahweh all the night.
« Je regrette d'avoir établi Saül comme roi, car il s'est détourné de moi et n'a pas exécuté mes commandements. » Samuel se mit en colère, et il cria à Yahvé toute la nuit.
12 And he rose early Samuel to meet Saul in the morning and it was told to Samuel saying he came Saul Carmel towards and there! [he was] setting up for himself a monument and he turned and he passed on and he went down Gilgal.
Samuel se leva de bonne heure pour aller à la rencontre de Saül le matin, et on lui dit: « Saül est arrivé au Carmel, et voici qu'il s'est érigé un monument, il s'est détourné, a passé et est descendu à Gilgal. »
13 And he came Samuel to Saul and he said to him Saul [be] blessed you by Yahweh I have carried out [the] word of Yahweh.
Samuel vint auprès de Saül, et Saül lui dit: « Tu es béni par Yahvé! J'ai exécuté le commandement de l'Éternel. »
14 And he said Samuel and what? [is] [the] sound of the sheep this in ears my and [the] sound of the cattle which I [am] hearing.
Samuel dit: « Alors, que signifient ce bêlement des brebis à mes oreilles et le mugissement des bêtes que j'entends? »
15 And he said Saul from [the] Amalekite[s] people brought them that it had compassion the people on [the] best of the sheep and the cattle so as to sacrifice [them] to Yahweh God your and the rest we totally destroyed.
Saül dit: « Ils les ont amenés de chez les Amalécites, car le peuple a épargné les meilleures brebis et les meilleurs bœufs pour les sacrifier à Yahvé, ton Dieu. Nous avons dévasté le reste. »
16 And he said Samuel to Saul be quiet so let me tell to you [that] which he said Yahweh to me this night (and he said *Q(K)*) to him speak.
Samuel dit alors à Saül: « Reste, et je te dirai ce que Yahvé m'a dit cette nuit. » Il lui dit: « Dis-le. »
17 And he said Samuel ¿ not though [were] small you in own eyes your [the] head of [the] tribes of Israel [are] you and he anointed you Yahweh to king over Israel.
Samuel dit: « Bien que tu sois petit à tes propres yeux, n'as-tu pas été établi chef des tribus d'Israël? L'Éternel t'a oint comme roi d'Israël,
18 And he sent you Yahweh on a journey and he said go and you will totally destroy the sinners Amalek and you will wage war against it until destroy they them.
et l'Éternel t'a envoyé en voyage, en disant: Va, détruis les pécheurs, les Amalécites, et combats-les jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient anéantis.
19 And why? not did you listen to [the] voice of Yahweh and did you rush? to the plunder and did you do? the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.
Pourquoi n'as-tu pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel, mais tu as pris le butin et tu as fait ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel? ».
20 And he said Saul to Samuel that I listened to [the] voice of Yahweh and I went on the journey which he sent me Yahweh and I brought Agag [the] king of Amalek and Amalek I totally destroyed.
Saül dit à Samuel: « J'ai obéi à la voix de l'Éternel, j'ai suivi le chemin que l'Éternel m'a envoyé, j'ai amené Agag, roi d'Amalek, et j'ai dévasté les Amalécites.
21 And it took the people from the plunder sheep and cattle [the] choicest of the object[s] for destruction to sacrifice [them] to Yahweh God your in Gilgal.
Mais le peuple a pris sur le butin, des moutons et du bétail, les meilleures choses consacrées, pour les sacrifier à Yahvé ton Dieu à Guilgal. »
22 And he said Samuel ¿ [does] delight [belong] to Yahweh in burnt offerings and sacrifices like listening to [the] voice of Yahweh here! to obey more than sacrifice [is] good to pay attention more than [the] fat of rams.
Samuel dit: « Yahvé prend-il autant de plaisir à offrir des holocaustes et des sacrifices qu'à obéir à la voix de Yahvé? Voici, obéir vaut mieux que le sacrifice, et écouter que la graisse de bélier.
23 For [is the] sin of divination rebellion and [is] wickedness and teraphim presumption because you have rejected [the] word of Yahweh and he has rejected you from king.
Car la rébellion est comme le péché de sorcellerie, et l'entêtement comme l'idolâtrie et les théraphim. Parce que tu as rejeté la parole de Yahvé, il t'a aussi refusé le titre de roi. »
24 And he said Saul to Samuel I have sinned for I have transgressed [the] mouth of Yahweh and words your for I feared the people and I listened to voice their.
Saül dit à Samuel: « J'ai péché, car j'ai transgressé le commandement de Yahvé et tes paroles, parce que j'ai craint le peuple et obéi à sa voix.
25 And therefore forgive please sin my and return with me so I may bow down to Yahweh.
Maintenant, pardonne-moi mon péché et reviens avec moi, afin que je me prosterne devant Yahvé. »
26 And he said Samuel to Saul not I will return with you for you have rejected [the] word of Yahweh and he has rejected you Yahweh from being king over Israel.
Samuel dit à Saül: « Je ne retournerai pas avec toi, car tu as rejeté la parole de l'Éternel et l'Éternel t'a refusé le titre de roi d'Israël. »
27 And he turned round Samuel to go and he took hold on [the] skirt of robe his and it tore.
Comme Samuel se retournait pour s'en aller, Saül saisit le pan de sa robe, qui se déchira.
28 And he said to him Samuel he has torn Yahweh [the] kingdom of Israel from with you this day and he will give it to neighbor your good more than you.
Samuel lui dit: « Aujourd'hui, Yahvé t'a arraché le royaume d'Israël et l'a donné à un de tes voisins qui est meilleur que toi.
29 And also [the] eminence of Israel not he will deal falsely and not he will regret for not [is] a man he to regret.
De plus, la force d'Israël ne mentira pas et ne se repentira pas, car il n'est pas homme à se repentir. »
30 And he said I have sinned now honor me please before [the] elders of people my and before Israel and return with me and I will bow down to Yahweh God your.
Il dit alors: « J'ai péché, mais honore-moi maintenant devant les anciens de mon peuple et devant Israël, et reviens avec moi, afin que je me prosterne devant Yahvé ton Dieu. »
31 And he turned back Samuel after Saul and he bowed down Saul to Yahweh.
Samuel retourna donc avec Saül, et Saül se prosterna devant Yahvé.
32 And he said Samuel bring near to me Agag [the] king of Amalek and he came to him Agag bonds and he said Agag truly it has departed [the] bitterness of death.
Et Samuel dit: « Amène-moi Agag, roi des Amalécites! » Agag est venu le voir avec joie. Agag dit: « L'amertume de la mort est passée. »
33 And he said Samuel just as it has made childless women sword your so she will become childless from women mother your and he cut to pieces Samuel Agag before Yahweh in Gilgal.
Samuel dit: « Comme ton épée a rendu les femmes sans enfants, ta mère sera sans enfants parmi les femmes! » Et Samuel coupa Agag en morceaux devant Yahvé, à Gilgal.
34 And he went Samuel Ramah towards and Saul he went up to house his Gibeah of Saul.
Samuel s'en alla à Rama; et Saül monta dans sa maison, à Guibea de Saül.
35 And not he repeated Samuel to see Saul until [the] day of death his for he mourned Samuel concerning Saul and Yahweh he regretted that he had made king Saul over Israel.
Samuel ne vint plus voir Saül jusqu'au jour de sa mort, mais il prit le deuil de Saül. Yahvé était affligé d'avoir fait de Saül le roi d'Israël.
