< 1 Samuel 11 >

1 And he went up Nahash the Ammonite and he encamped on Jabesh Gilead and they said all [the] men of Jabesh to Nahash make to us a covenant and we will serve you.
Ɛbɛyɛ ɔsram akyi, Amonhene Nahas dii nʼakofo anim bɛtoaa Israel kuropɔn Yabes Gilead. Na Yabesman mma srɛɛ sɛ, “Momma yɛne mo nyɛ apam, na yɛbɛyɛ mo asomfo.”
2 And he said to them Nahash the Ammonite by this I will make to you by gouging out of you every eye of [the] right [side] and I will make it a reproach on all Israel.
Nanso Amonni Nahas buae se, “Eye, na ade baako pɛ na ɛsɛ sɛ mopene so. Ɛne sɛ, metu obiara ani nifa baako de agu Israel nyinaa anim ase.”
3 And they said to him [the] elders of Jabesh refrain to us seven days so let us send messengers in all [the] territory of Israel and if there not [is one who] delivers us and we will come out to you.
Na Yabes mpanyin no buae se, “Ma yɛn nnanson, na yɛmfa nsoma abɔfo mfa Israel nyinaa, na sɛ yɛn abusuafo amma ammegye yɛn de a, yɛbɛpene wo nhyehyɛe no so.”
4 And they came the messengers Gibeah of Saul and they spoke the words in [the] ears of the people and they lifted up all the people voice their and they wept.
Abɔfo no beduu Gibea a ɛyɛ Saulo kurom, bɛkaa asɛm a ato wɔn no kyerɛɛ ɔmanfo maa wɔn nyinaa sui.
5 And there! Saul [was] coming after the cattle from the field and he said Saul what? [is] to the people that they are weeping and they recounted to him [the] words of [the] men of Jabesh.
Saa bere no, na Saulo refuntum nʼafuw. Na ɔbaa fie no, obisae se, “Dɛn asɛm na asi? Adɛn nti na nusu abu obiara kɔn yi?” Enti wɔbɔɔ asɛm a efi Yabes aba no ho amanneɛ.
6 And it rushed [the] spirit of God on Saul (just as heard he *Q(K)*) the words these and it burned anger his exceedingly.
Onyankopɔn honhom besii Saulo so denneennen. Na ne bo fuw yiye.
7 And he took a pair of ox[en] and he cut in pieces it and he sent [them] in all [the] territory of Israel by [the] hand of the messengers - saying [the one] who not he [is] coming out after Saul and after Samuel thus it will be done to ox[en] his and it fell [the] dread of Yahweh on the people and they came out like a man one.
Ɔfaa anantwi abien, twitwaa wɔn asinasin, na wɔmaa abɔfo no soa kyinii Israel nyinaa, kae se, “Obiara a wanni Saulo ne Samuel akyi ankɔ ɔko no, saa ara na ne nantwi bɛyɛ!” Na Awurade maa nnipa no suroo Saulo abufuw no. Enti wɔn nyinaa bɛboaa wɔn ho ano.

9 And they said to the messengers who had come thus you will say! to [the] man of Jabesh Gilead tomorrow it will belong to you deliverance (like [the] heat of *Q(K)*) the sun and they went the messengers and they told to [the] men of Jabesh and they were glad.

11 And it was from [the] next day and he made Saul the people three companies and they went in [the] midst of the camp in [the] watch of the morning and they struck down Ammon until [the] heat of the day and it was those [who] remained and they were scattered and not they remained among them two together.
Nanso ansa na ade bɛkye no, na Saulo adu hɔ dedaw. Ɔkyekyɛɛ nʼakofo no mu akuw abiɛsa. Ɔtow hyɛɛ Amonfo no so mpofirim, kunkum wɔn anɔpa mu no nyinaa. Wɔn asraafo nkae no bɔ hwetee baabiara a obi mpo nhu sɛ wɔn mu baanu bi gyina faako.

13 And he said Saul not he will be put to death anyone on the day this for this day he has done Yahweh deliverance in Israel.
Nanso Saulo buae se, “Wɔrenkum obiara nnɛ, efisɛ, Awurade agye Israel nnɛ.”
14 And he said Samuel to the people come so let us go Gilgal so we may renew there the kingship.
Na Samuel ka kyerɛɛ nnipa no se, “Mommra na yɛn nyinaa nkɔ Gilgal nkosi Saulo ahenni no so dua.”
15 And they went all the people Gilgal and they made king there Saul before Yahweh in Gilgal and they sacrificed there sacrifices peace offerings before Yahweh and he rejoiced there Saul and all [the] men of Israel up to muchness.
