1 Samuel 11
1 And he went up Nahash the Ammonite and he encamped on Jabesh Gilead and they said all [the] men of Jabesh to Nahash make to us a covenant and we will serve you.
Unya miadto si Nahas nga Amonihanon ug gialirongan ang Jabes Galaad. Ang tanang kalalakihan sa Jabes Gilead nag-ingon kang Nahas, “Paghimo ug kasabotan kanamo, ug moalagad kami kanimo.”
2 And he said to them Nahash the Ammonite by this I will make to you by gouging out of you every eye of [the] right [side] and I will make it a reproach on all Israel.
Mitubag si Nahas nga Amonihanon, “Makigsabot ako kaninyo sa kondisyon, nga lugiton ko ang tanan ninyong tuong mga mata, ug niini nga paagi mapakaulawan ang tibuok Israel.”
3 And they said to him [the] elders of Jabesh refrain to us seven days so let us send messengers in all [the] territory of Israel and if there not [is one who] delivers us and we will come out to you.
Unya mitubag ang mga kadagkoan sa Jabes kaniya, “Biyai kami sulod sa pito ka mga adlaw, aron nga makapadala kami ug mga mensahero sa tibuok dapit sa Israel. Unya, kung wala gayoy moluwas kanamo, itugyan namo ang among kaugalingon kanimo.”
4 And they came the messengers Gibeah of Saul and they spoke the words in [the] ears of the people and they lifted up all the people voice their and they wept.
Sa pag-abot sa mensahero sa Gabaon, kung asa nagpuyo si Saul, ug nagsugilon sa mga tawo kung unsa ang nahitabo. Ang tibuok katawhan mihilak sa makusog.
5 And there! Saul [was] coming after the cattle from the field and he said Saul what? [is] to the people that they are weeping and they recounted to him [the] words of [the] men of Jabesh.
Karon nagsunod si Saul sa iyang mga baka gikan sa uma. Miingon si Saul, “Naunsa man kining mga tawo nganong nanghilak man sila?” Gisultihan nila si Saul kung unsa ang giingon sa mga tawo sa Jabes.
6 And it rushed [the] spirit of God on Saul (just as heard he *Q(K)*) the words these and it burned anger his exceedingly.
Sa dihang nadungog ni Saul ang ilang giingon, ang Espiritu sa Dios mikunsad kaniya, ug nasuko siya pag-ayo.
7 And he took a pair of ox[en] and he cut in pieces it and he sent [them] in all [the] territory of Israel by [the] hand of the messengers - saying [the one] who not he [is] coming out after Saul and after Samuel thus it will be done to ox[en] his and it fell [the] dread of Yahweh on the people and they came out like a man one.
Gikuha niya ang pangdaro nga torong baka, ug gitadtad kini, ug gipadala niya kini sa mga mesahero ngadto sa tibuok ginsakopan sa Israel. Miingon siya, “Si bisan kinsa ang dili mogawas ug mosunod kang Saul ug kang Samuel, mao usab kini ang buhaton kaniya sama sa torong baka.” Unya nahadlok ang katawhan kang Yahweh, ug nanggula silang tanan ingon nga usa ka tawo.
8 And he mustered them at Bezek and they were [the] people of Israel three hundred thousand and [the] man of Judah [was] thirty thousand.
Sa dihang gitigom niya sila sa Besek, ang katawhan sa Israel mikabat ug 300, 000, ug 30, 000 ang mga tawo sa Juda.
9 And they said to the messengers who had come thus you will say! to [the] man of Jabesh Gilead tomorrow it will belong to you deliverance (like [the] heat of *Q(K)*) the sun and they went the messengers and they told to [the] men of Jabesh and they were glad.
Gisultihan nila ang miabot nga mga mensahero, “Sultihi ninyo ang mga tawo sa Jabes Galaad, “Ugma, sa dili pa ang kaudtohon, pagaluwason kamo.” Busa milakaw ang mga mensahero ug gisultihan ang mga tawo sa Jabes, ug nangalipay sila.
10 And they said [the] men of Jabesh tomorrow will we go out to you and you will do to us according to all the good in view your.
Unya ang mga tawo sa Jabes miingon kang Nahas, “Ugma itugyan na namo kanimo ang among mga kaugalingon, ug mahimo mo na kanamo ang bisan unsa nga makaayo kanimo.”
11 And it was from [the] next day and he made Saul the people three companies and they went in [the] midst of the camp in [the] watch of the morning and they struck down Ammon until [the] heat of the day and it was those [who] remained and they were scattered and not they remained among them two together.
Pagkasunod nga adlaw gibahin ni Saul ang mga tawo sa tulo ka bahin. Miadto sila sa tungatunga sa kampo sa pagkakadlawon, ug gisulong ug gipildi nila ang mga Amonihanon hangtod sa pagkaudto. Kadtong nakaikyas nagkatibulaag, busa walay tagduha nga nagkauban kanila sa pag-ikyas.
12 And it said the people to Samuel who? [is] the [one who] said Saul will he reign? over us deliver up the men so we may put to death them.
Unya ang katawhan miingon kang Samuel, “Kinsa ba kadtong miingon nga, “Si Saul ba ang maghari kanato?' Dad-a kadtong mga tawhana, aron ato silang patyon.”
13 And he said Saul not he will be put to death anyone on the day this for this day he has done Yahweh deliverance in Israel.
Apan miingon si Saul, “Walay usa nga pagapatyon karong adlawa, tungod kay karong adlawa giluwas ni Yahweh ang Israel.”
14 And he said Samuel to the people come so let us go Gilgal so we may renew there the kingship.
Unya miingon si Samuel ngadto sa katawhan, “Dali kamo, moadto kita sa Gilgal ug bag-ohon ang gingharian didto.”
15 And they went all the people Gilgal and they made king there Saul before Yahweh in Gilgal and they sacrificed there sacrifices peace offerings before Yahweh and he rejoiced there Saul and all [the] men of Israel up to muchness.
Busa ang tanang katawhan nangadto sa Gilgal ug gihimo nga hari si Saul sa atubangan ni Yahweh. Didto naghalad sila sa halad sa pakigdait sa atubangan ni Yahweh, ug si Saul ug ang tibuok katawhan sa Israel nagmaya pag-ayo.
