1 Kings 6

1 And it was in eighty year and four hundred year of [the] coming out of [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt in the year fourth in [the] month of Ziv that [was] the month second of [the] reigning of Solomon over Israel and he built the house for Yahweh.

١ وَعِنْدَمَا بَدَأَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي بِنَاءِ هَيْكَلِ الرَّبِّ فِي الشَّهْرِ الثَّانِي، شَهْرِ زِيُو (آيَارَ – مَايُو) مِنَ السَّنَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ لِتَوَلِّيهِ عَرْشَ إِسْرَائِيلَ، كَانَ قَدِ انْقَضَى عَلَى خُرُوجِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ أَرْبَعُ مِئَةٍ وَثَمَانُونَ عَاماً.

2 And the house which he built the king Solomon for Yahweh [was] sixty cubit[s] length its and [was] twenty breadth its and [was] thirty cubit[s] height its.

٢ وَكَانَ طُولُ الْهَيْكَلِ الَّذِي شَيَّدَهُ سُلَيْمَانُ لِلرَّبِّ سِتِّيِنَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ ثَلاثِينَ مِتْراً) وَعَرْضُهُ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ عَشَرَةِ أَمْتَارٍ) وَارْتِفَاعُهُ ثَلاثِينَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَةِ مِتْراً)

3 And the porch on [the] face of [the] temple of the house [was] twenty cubit[s] length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] ten by the cubit breadth its on [the] face of the house.

٣ وَكَانَتْ هُنَاكَ شُرْفَةٌ أَمَامَ الْهَيْكَلِ طُولُهَا عِشْرُونَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ عَشَرَةِ أَمْتَارٍ) وَعَرْضُهَا عَشْرُ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةِ أَمْتَارٍ)

4 And he made for the house windows of frames shut.

٤ وَصَنَعَ لِلْهَيْكَلِ نَوَافِذَ مَسْقُوفَةً مُشَبَّكَةً ضَيِّقَةً.

5 And he built on [the] wall of the house (an extension *Q(K)*) all around [the] walls of the house around the temple and the innermost room and he made side-chambers all around.

٥ وَشَيَّدَ عَلَى جَوَانِبِ جُدْرَانِ الْقَاعَةِ الرَّئِيسِيَّةِ وَالْمِحْرَابِ بِنَاءً ذَا طَوَابِقَ ثَلاثَةٍ، مُحِيطاً بِالْهَيْكَلِ جَعَلَهُ حُجُرَاتٍ إِضَافِيَّةً.

6 (The extension *Q(K)*) lower [was] five by the cubit breadth its and the middle [extension] [was] six by the cubit breadth its and third [extension] [was] seven by the cubit breadth its for ledges he made for the house around [the] outside towards to not to have hold in [the] walls of the house.

٦ وَكَانَ عَرْضُ الطَّبَقَةِ الأُولَى خَمْسَ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ مِتْرَيْنِ وَنِصْفِ الْمِتْرِ)، وَعَرْضُ الطَّبَقَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ سِتَّ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ ثَلاثَةِ أَمْتَارِ)، وَعَرْضُ الطَّبَقَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ سَبْعَ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ ثَلاثَةِ أَمْتَارٍ وَنِصْفِ الْمِتْرِ). وَكَانَتِ الْحُجُرَاتِ مُتَّصِلَةً بِجُدْرَانِ الهَيْكَلِ بِعَوَارِضَ مُرْتَكِزَةٍ عَلَى كُتَلٍ خَشَبِيَّةٍ مُثَبَّتَةٍ خَارِجَ الْجُدْرَانِ، وَلَيْسَ فِي بَاطِنِ الْجُدْرَانِ نَفْسِهَا.

7 And the house when was built it stone perfect quarry it was built and hammers and axe any article of iron not it was heard in the house when was built it.

٧ وَتَمَّ بِنَاءُ الْهَيْكَلِ بِحِجَارَةٍ صَحِيحَةٍ، اقْتَلَعَهَا الْعُمَّالُ وَنَحَتُوهَا فِي مَقَالِعِهَا، فَلَمْ يُسْمَعْ فِي الهَيْكَلِ عِنْدَ بِنَائِهِ صَوْتُ مِنْحَتٍ أَوْ مِعْوَلٍ أَوْ أَيِّ أَدَاةٍ حَدِيدِيَّةٍ.

8 [the] entrance of The side-chamber middle [was] to [the] side of the house south and by stairs people went up to the middle and from the middle to the thirty.

٨ وَكَانَ مَدْخَلُ الطَّابِقِ الأَسْفَلِ يَقُودُ إِلَى الْجَانِبِ الأَيْمَنِ مِنَ الْهَيْكَلِ، وَمِنْهُ يَصْعَدُونَ بِدَرَجٍ يُفْضِي إِلَى الطَّابِقَيْنِ الثَّانِي والثَّالِثِ.

9 And he built the house and he finished it and he covered the house beams and planks with cedar.

٩ وَبَعْدَ أَنْ أَكْمَلَ سُلَيْمَانُ بِنَاءَ الهَيْكَلِ كَسَا سَقْفَهُ بِعَوَارِضَ وَأَلْوَاحٍ مِنْ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ.

10 And he built (the extension *Q(K)*) on all the house [was] five cubits height its and he covered the house with wood of cedar.

١٠ وَكَانَ ارْتِفَاعُ الْحُجُرَاتِ الْمُلْحَقَةِ بِالْهَيْكَلِ خَمْسَ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ مِتْرَيْنِ وَنِصْفِ الْمِتْرِ)، وَقَدْ ثَبَّتَهَا بِالْهَيْكَلِ بِعَوَارِضَ مِنْ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ.

11 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Solomon saying.

١١ وَأَوْحَى الرَّبُّ إِلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بِشَأْنِ الْهَيْكَلِ قَائِلاً:

12 The house this which you [are] building if you will walk in statutes my and judgments my you will observe and you will keep all commandments my to walk in them and I will establish word my with you which I spoke to David father your.

١٢ «أَمَّا مَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهَذَا الْهَيْكَلِ الَّذِي شَيَّدْتَهُ، إِنْ سَلَكْتَ فِي فَرَائِضِي وَطَبَّقْتَ أَحْكَامِي وَأَطَعْتَ وَصَايَايَ، وَمَارَسْتَهَا فَإِنَّنِي أُحَقِّقُ وُعُودِي الَّتِي وَعَدْتُ بِها دَاوُدَ أَبَاكَ

13 And I will dwell in among [the] people of Israel and not I will abandon people my Israel.

١٣ وَأُقِيمُ وَسَطَ شَعْبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلا أَتَخَلَّى عَنْهُ».

14 And he built Solomon the house and he finished it.

١٤ وَهَكَذَا شَيَّدَ سُلَيْمَانُ الْهَيْكَلَ وَأَكْمَلَهُ،

15 And he built [the] walls of the house from inside with boards of cedar from [the] floor of the house to [the] walls of the ceiling he overlaid wood from inside and he overlaid [the] floor of the house with boards of cypresses.

١٥ وَكُسِيَتْ جُدْرَانُ الْهَيْكَلِ مِنَ الدَّاخِلِ، مِنَ الأَرْضِ إِلَى السَّقْفِ بِعَوَارِضَ مِنْ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ، وَغُطِّيَتْ أَرْضِيَّتُهُ بِخَشَبِ السَّرْوِ،

16 And he built twenty cubit[s] (from [the] innermost parts of *Q(k)*) the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls and he built for it from inside to an innermost room to [the] holy place of the holy places.

١٦ وَاقْتَطَعَ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ عَشَرَةِ أَمْتَارٍ) مِنْ مُؤَخَّرَةِ الْهَيْكَل بَنَى فِيهَا الْمِحْرَابَ، أَيْ قُدْسَ الأَقْدَاسِ بَعْدَ أَنْ بَنَى جُدْرَاناً دَاخِلِيَّةً مِنَ الأَرْضِ إِلَى الْحِيطَانِ بِعَوَارِضَ مِنْ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ.

17 And forty by the cubit it was the house that [is] the temple before me.

١٧ وَامْتَدَّ بَاقِي الهَيْكَلِ أَمَامَ قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ عَلَى طُولِ أَرْبَعِينَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ عِشْرِينَ مِتْراً).

18 And cedar [was] to the house within carving of gourds and spread out [things] of flowers everything [was] cedar not stone [was] visible.

١٨ وَنُقِشَتْ عَلَى أَلْوَاحِ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ الَّتِي غَطَّتِ الْجُدْرَانَ الدَّاخِلِيَّةَ أَشْكَالُ يَقْطِينٍ، وَبَرَاعِمِ زُهُورٍ مُتَفَتِّحَةٍ. وَكَانَ الْبِنَاءُ الدَّاخِلِيُّ مَصْنُوعاً كُلُّهُ مِنْ خَشَبِ الأَرْزِ فَلَمْ يَظْهَرْ فِيهِ حَجَرٌ.

19 And an innermost room in [the] middle of the house from within he prepared to put there [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh.

١٩ وَأَعَدَّ سُلَيْمَانُ مِحْرَاباً فِي وَسَطِ الْهَيْكَلِ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ لِيَضَعَ فِيهِ تَابُوتَ عَهْدِ الرَّبِّ.

20 And before the innermost room [was] twenty cubit[s] length and [was] twenty cubit[s] breadth and [was] twenty cubit[s] height its and he overlaid it gold gold plate and he overlaid an altar cedar.

٢٠ كَانَ طُولُهُ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً (نَحْوَ عَشَرَةِ أَمْتَارٍ)، وَعَرْضُهُ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً، وَارْتِفَاعُهُ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً. وَغَشَّاهُ بِذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ كَمَا غَشَّى الْمَذْبَحَ بِخَشَبِ الأَرْزِ.

21 And he overlaid Solomon the house from within gold gold plate and he made pass (with chains of *Q(K)*) gold before the innermost room and he overlaid it gold.

٢١ وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ غَشَّى سُلَيْمَانُ الْهَيْكَلَ كُلَّهُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ بِذَهَبٍ نَقِيٍّ. وَصَنَعَ سَلاسِلَ ذَهَبِيَّةً حَجَزَ بِها مَدْخَلَ الْمِحْرَابِ الْمُغَشَّى بِالذَّهَبِ النَّقِيِّ.

22 And all the house he overlaid gold until was finished all the house and all the altar which [belonged] to the innermost room he overlaid gold.

٢٢ فَكَانَ الهَيْكَلُ بِكَامِلِهِ مُغَشّىً مِنَ الدَّاخِلِ بِالذَّهَبِ النَّقِيِّ، بِمَا فِيهِ مَذْبَحُ الْمِحْرَابِ.

23 And he made in the innermost room two cherubim wood of olive [was] ten cubits height its.

٢٣ وَأَقَامَ فِي الْمِحْرَابِ كَرُوبَيْنِ مَصْنُوعَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيْتُونِ، عُلُوُّ الْوَاحِدِ مِنْهُمَا عَشْرُ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةِ أَمْتَارٍ).

24 And [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub one and [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub second [was] ten cubits from [the] ends of wings its and to [the] ends of wings its.

٢٤ وَطُولُ جَنَاحَيِ الْكَرُوبِ الْوَاحِدِ، مِنَ الطَّرَفِ الْوَاحِدِ إِلَى الطَّرَفِ الآخَرِ، عَشْرُ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةِ أَمْتَارٍ)

25 And [was] ten by the cubit the cherub second a measurement one and a shape one [belonged] to [the] two the cherubim.

٢٥ وَكَذَلِكَ كَانَ طُولُ جَنَاحَيِ الْكَرُوبِ الثَّانِي عَشْرَ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةِ أَمْتَارٍ)، لأَنَّهُمَا كَانَا مُتَمَاثِلَيْنِ فِي الْقِيَاسِ والشَّكْلِ.

26 [the] height of The cherub one [was] ten by the cubit and thus the cherub second.

٢٦ وَكَانَ عُلُوُّ كُلِّ كَرُوبٍ عَشْرَ أَذْرُعٍ (نَحْوَ خَمْسَةِ أَمْتَارٍ).

27 And he put the cherubim in [the] middle of - the house inner and they spread out [the] wings of the cherubim and it touched [the] wing of the one [cherub] the wall and [the] wing of the cherub second [was] touching the wall second and wings their to [the] middle of the house [were] touching wing to wing.

٢٧ وَأَقَامَ الْكَرُوبَيْنِ فِي وَسَطِ قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ، بِحَيْثُ يَمْتَدُّ طَرَفَا جَنَاحَيْهِمَا الْخَارِجِيَّيْنِ مِنَ الْحَائِطِ إِلَى الْحَائِطِ، وَيَتَلامَسُ طَرَفَا جَنَاحَيْهِمَا الدَّاخِلِيَّيْنِ فِي مُنْتَصَفِ الْمِحْرَابِ،

28 And he overlaid the cherubim gold.

٢٨ وَغَشَّى سُلَيْمَانُ الْكَرُوبَيْنِ بِالذَّهَبِ.

29 And all [the] walls of the house round about - he carved engravings of carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers from to faces and to the outer.

٢٩ وَنُقِشَتْ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْجُدْرَانِ الْمُحِيطَةِ بِالْهَيْكَلِ مِنَ الدَّاخِلِ وَالْخَارِجِ رُسُومُ كَرُوبِيمَ وَنَخِيلٍ وَبَراعِمِ زُهُورٍ.

30 And [the] floor of the house he overlaid gold to within and to the outer.

٣٠ وَغَشَّى أَرْضَ الْهَيْكَلِ كُلِّهِ، بِقِسْمَيْهِ الدَّاخِلِيِّ وَالْخَارِجِيِّ، بِذَهَبٍ.

31 And [the] entrance of the innermost room he made doors of wood of olive the pillar doorposts of fifth.

٣١ وَكَانَ لِلْمِحْرَابِ بَابٌ مِنْ مِصْرَاعَيْنِ مَصْنُوعَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيْتُونِ، لَهُمَا عَتَبَةٌ وَقَائِمَتَانِ عَلَى شَكْلِ مُخَمَّسٍ.

32 And two doors of wood of olive and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid [them] gold and he hammered out on the cherubim and on the palm trees the gold.

٣٢ وَنَقَشَ عَلَى الْمِصْرَاعَيْنِ رُسُومَ كَرُوبِيمَ وَنَخِيلٍ وَبَرَاعِمِ زُهُورٍ، وَغَشَّاهُمَا بِذَهَبٍ، كَمَا رَصَّعَ الْكُرُوبِيمَ وَالنَّخِيلَ بِذَهَبٍ.

33 And thus he made for [the] entrance of the temple doorposts of wood of olive from with a fourth.

٣٣ وَصَنَعَ لِمَدْخَلِ الْهَيْكَلِ قَوَائِمَ مُرَبَّعَةً مِنْ خَشَبِ الزَّيْتُونِ،

34 And two doors of wood of cypresses two sides the door one [were] revolving and two curtains the door second [were] revolving.

٣٤ وَمِصْرَاعَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ السَّرْوِ، لِكُلِّ مِصْرَاعٍ دَفَّتَانِ تَنْطَوِيَانِ عَلَى بَعْضِهِمَا.

35 And he carved cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid gold made smooth on the carved [work].

٣٥ وَنَحَتَ نُقُوشَ كَرُوبِيمَ وَنَخِيلٍ وَبَرَاعِمِ زُهُورٍ وَغَشَّاهَا بِذَهَبٍ مَطْرُوقٍ.

36 And he built the court inner three rows of hewn [stone] and a row of beams of cedar.

٣٦ وَكَانَ جِدَارُ السَّاحَةِ الدَّاخِلَيَّةِ مَبْنِيًّا مِنْ ثَلاثِ طَبَقَاتٍ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ الْمَنْحُوتَةِ، وَطَبَقَةٍ مِنْ عَوَارِضِ الأَرْزِ الْمُشَذَّبَةِ.

37 In the year fourth it was founded [the] house of Yahweh in [the] month of Ziv.

٣٧ وَكَانَ إِرْسَاءُ أَسَاسِ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ فِي شَهْرِ زِيُو (أَيَارَ – مَايُو) مِنَ السَّنَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ لِحُكْمِ سُلَيْمَانَ.

38 And in the year one [plus] ten in [the] month of Bul that [was] the month eighth it was complete the house to all parts its and to all (plans its *Q(K)*) and he built it seven years.

٣٨ وَفِي شَهْرِ بُولَ (تِشْرِينَ الثَّانِي – نُوفَمْبِرَ) مِنْ الْعَامِ الْحَادِي عَشَرَ لِمُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ، اكْتَمَلَ بِنَاءُ الْهَيْكَلِ بِكُلِّ تَفَاصِيلِهِ، وَهَكَذَا اسْتَغْرَقَ تَشْيِيدُهُ سَبْعَ سَنَوَاتٍ.
