< 1 Kings 5 >
1 And he sent Hiram [the] king of Tyre servants his to Solomon for he had heard that him people had anointed to king in place of father his for a friend he had been Hiram of David all the days.
Hiram, rey de Tiro, después que oyó que ungieron rey a Salomón en lugar de su padre, también le envió a sus esclavos, pues Hiram siempre apreció a David.
2 And he sent Solomon to Hiram saying.
Salomón envió a decir a Hiram:
3 You you know David father my that not he was able to build a house for [the] name of Yahweh God his because of the war which they had surrounded him until gave Yahweh them under [the] soles of (feet my. *Q(K)*)
Tú sabes que por causa de las guerras que lo rodearon, mi padre David no pudo edificar una Casa al Nombre de Yavé su ʼElohim, hasta que Yavé sometió a sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
4 And now he has given rest Yahweh God my to me from round about there not [is] an adversary and there not [is] an occurrence evil.
Pero ahora, Yavé mi ʼElohim me dio reposo por todas partes. No hay adversario ni calamidad.
5 And here I [am] saying to build a house for [the] name of Yahweh God my just as - he spoke Yahweh to David father my saying son your whom I will put in place of you on throne your he he will build the house for name my.
Mira, me propongo construir una Casa al Nombre de Yavé mi ʼElohim, como Yavé habló a mi padre David: Tu hijo, al que sentaré en tu lugar en el trono, él edificará una Casa a mi Nombre.
6 And therefore command so they may cut for me cedars from Lebanon and servants my they will be with servants your and [the] wage[s] of servants your I will give to you according to all that you will say for - you you know that there not among us [is] anyone [who] knows to cut wood like the Sidonians.
Por tanto, ahora ordena que corten cedros del Líbano para mí. Mis esclavos estarán con los tuyos, y te pagaré los salarios de tus esclavos según me digas. Porque tú sabes que no hay ninguno de nosotros que conozca acerca de la tala de árboles como los sidonios.
7 And it was when heard Hiram [the] words of Solomon and he rejoiced exceedingly and he said [be] blessed Yahweh this day who he has given to David a son wise over the people great this.
Cuando Hiram oyó las palabras de Salomón, se alegró mucho y dijo: ¡Bendito sea Yavé hoy, porque dio a David un hijo sabio para que gobierne a ese pueblo tan numeroso!
8 And he sent Hiram to Solomon saying I have heard [that] which you sent to me I I will do all desire your in wood of cedar and in wood of cypress.
Hiram envió respuesta a Salomón: Escuché lo que me enviaste a decir. Cumpliré tu deseo en lo relacionado con los árboles de cedro y los árboles de ciprés.
9 Servants my they will bring [them] down from Lebanon [the] sea towards and I I will make them rafts on the sea to the place which you will send to me and I will break up them there and you you will carry [them] away and you you will do desire my by giving [the] food of household my.
Mis esclavos los bajarán del Líbano al mar. Yo los enviaré en balsas por el mar hasta el lugar que tú me indiques, los desatarán allí, y tú los recibirás. Y tú cumplirás mi deseo al dar provisiones a mi casa.
10 And he was Hiram giving to Solomon wood of cedar and wood of cypress all desire his.
Así Hiram dio a Salomón toda la madera de cedro y de ciprés, en conformidad con todo su deseo.
11 And Solomon he gave to Hiram twenty thousand cor[s] of wheat food for household his and twenty cor[s] of oil pressed thus he gave Solomon to Hiram a year in a year.
Para el sustento de su casa, Salomón daba a Hiram 4.400.000 litros de trigo y 440.000 litros de aceite puro. Salomón daba esto a Hiram cada año.
12 And Yahweh he gave wisdom to Solomon just as he had spoken to him and it was peace between Hiram and between Solomon and they made a covenant [the] two of them.
Yavé dio a Salomón sabiduría, como le prometió. Hubo paz entre Hiram y Salomón, y ambos hicieron un pacto.
13 And he raised the king Solomon forced labor from all Israel and it was the forced labor thirty thousand man.
El rey Salomón decretó la recluta en todo Israel. Fueron reclutados 30.000 hombres,
14 And he sent them Lebanon towards ten thousand in the month relays a month they were in Lebanon two months in home his and Adoniram [was] over the forced labor.
y los enviaba al Líbano, 10.000 por mes, por turno, para que pasaran un mes en el Líbano, y dos meses en sus casas. Adoniram estaba encargado de los reclutados.
15 And it belonged to Solomon seventy thousand carrier[s] burden-bearer[s] and eighty thousand stone-cutter[s] in the hill country.
Además Salomón tenía 70.000 cargadores y 80.000 canteros en la región montañosa,
16 Apart from [the] leaders of the overseers of Solomon who [were] over the work three thousand and three hundred who ruled over the people who were doing the work.
aparte de los 3.300 jefes que Salomón estableció al frente de la obra, los cuales daban órdenes a la gente que hacía el trabajo.
17 And he commanded the king and they quarried stones large stones costly to found the house stones of hewn [stone].
El rey mandó que extrajeran piedras grandes y costosas para colocar los cimientos de la Casa con piedras talladas.
18 And they cut [them] to shape [the] builders of Solomon and [the] builders of Hiram and the Gebalites and they prepared the wood and the stones to build the house.
Los constructores de Salomón, de Hiram y de Biblos prepararon la madera y tallaron las piedras para construir la Casa.
