1 Kings 22
1 And they remained three years there not [was] war between Aram and between Israel.
| وَانْقَضَتْ ثَلاثُ سَنَوَاتٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ تَنْشَبَ حَرْبٌ بَيْنَ أَرَامَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ. | ١ |
2 And it was in the year third and he went down Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah to [the] king of Israel.
| وَفِي السَّنَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ قَدِمَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ مَلِكُ يَهُوذَا لِزِيَارَةِ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، | ٢ |
3 And he said [the] king of Israel to servants his ¿ do you know that [belongs] to us Ramoth Gilead and we [are] inactive from taking it from [the] hand of [the] king of Aram.
| فَقَالَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ لِرِجَالِهِ: «أَتَدْرُونَ أَنَّ رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ هِيَ لَنَا، وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ لَمْ نَفْعَلُ شَيْئاً لاِسْتِرْجَاعِهَا مِنْ أَرَامَ؟» | ٣ |
4 And he said to Jehoshaphat ¿ will you go with me for battle Ramoth Gilead and he said Jehoshaphat to [the] king of Israel as me as you as people my as people your as horses my as horses your.
| وَسَأَلَ آخْابُ يَهُوشَافَاطَ: «هَلْ تَشْتَرِكُ مَعِي فِي الْحَرْبِ لاِسْتِرْجَاعِ رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ؟» فَأَجَابَهُ يَهُوشَافَاطُ: «مَثَلِي مَثَلُكَ: شَعْبِي كَشَعْبِكَ وَخَيْلِي كَخَيْلِكَ». | ٤ |
5 And he said Jehoshaphat to [the] king of Israel seek please as the day [the] word of Yahweh.
| ثُمَّ قَالَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ لِمَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ: «اطْلُبِ الْيَوْمَ مَشُورَةَ الرَّبِّ». | ٥ |
6 And he gathered [the] king of Israel the prophets about four hundred man and he said to them ¿ will I go on Ramoth Gilead for battle or? will I refrain and they said go up so he may give [it] [the] Lord in [the] hand of the king.
| فَجَمَعَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ نَحْوَ أَرْبَعِ مِئَةٍ مِنْ أَنْبِيَاءِ الأَصْنَامِ وَسَأَلَهُمْ: «هَلْ أَذْهَبُ لِلْحَرْبِ إِلَى رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ أَمْ أَمْتَنِعُ؟» فَأَجَابُوهُ: «اذْهَبْ، فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ سَيَنْصُرُكَ وَيُسَلِّمُهَا لَكَ». | ٦ |
7 And he said Jehoshaphat ¿ [is] there not here a prophet of Yahweh still so we may enquire from him.
| فَقَالَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ: «أَلا يُوْجَدُ هُنَا بَعْدُ نَبِيٌّ مِنْ أَنْبِيَاءِ الرَّبِّ فَنَسْأَلَهُ الْمَشُورَةَ؟» | ٧ |
8 And he said [the] king of Israel - to Jehoshaphat still a man one to consult Yahweh from him and I I hate him for not he prophesies on me good that except evil Micaiah [the] son of Imlah and he said Jehoshaphat may not he speak the king thus.
| فَأَجَابَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: «يُوْجَدُ بَعْدُ رَجُلٌ وَاحِدٌ، يُمْكِنُنَا عَنْ طَرِيقِهِ أَنْ نَطْلُبَ مَشُورَةَ الرَّبِّ، وَلَكِنِّي أَمْقُتُهُ لأَنَّهُ لَا يَتَنَبَّأُ عَلَيَّ بِغَيْرِ الشَّرِّ. إِنَّهُ مِيخَا بْنُ يَمْلَةَ». فَقَالَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ: «لا تَقُلْ هَذَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلِكُ». | ٨ |
9 And he summoned [the] king of Israel a court-official one and he said bring quickly! Micaiah [the] son of Imlah.
| فَأَمَرَ آخْابُ أَحَدَ رِجَالِهِ بِاسْتِدْعَاءِ مِيخَا بنِ يَمْلَةَ. | ٩ |
10 And [the] king of Israel and Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah [were] sitting each on throne his clothed garments at [the] threshing floor [the] entrance of [the] gate of Samaria and all the prophets [were] prophesying before them.
| وَكَانَ كُلٌّ مِنْ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَيَهُوشَافَاطَ مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا يَجْلِسُ عَلَى عَرْشٍ فِي سَاحَةٍ عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ بَابِ السَّامِرَةِ، وَقَدِ ارْتَدَيَا حُلَلَهُمَا الْمَلَكِيَّةَ، وَالأَنْبِيَاءُ جَمِيعُهُمْ يَتَنَبَّأُونَ أَمَامَهُمَا. | ١٠ |
11 And he made for himself Zedekiah [the] son of Kenaanah horns of iron and he said thus he says Yahweh with these you will gore Aram until destroy them.
| وَصَنَعَ صِدْقِيَّا بْنُ كَنْعَنَةَ لِنَفْسِهِ قَرْنَيْ حَدِيدٍ وَقَالَ: «هَكَذَا يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ: بِهَذِهِ تَنْطَحُ الأَرَامِيِّينَ حَتَّى يَهْلِكُوا». | ١١ |
12 And all the prophets [were] prophesying thus saying go up Ramoth Gilead and succeed and he will give [it] Yahweh in [the] hand of the king.
| وَتَنَبَّأَ جَمِيعُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا الْكَلامِ قَائِلِينَ: «اذْهَبْ إِلَى رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ فَتَظْفَرَ بِها، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ يُسَلِّمُهَا إِلَى الْمَلِكِ». | ١٢ |
13 And the messenger who he had gone - to summon Micaiah he spoke to him saying here! please [the] words of the prophets a mouth one [is] good to the king let it be please (word your *Q(K)*) like [the] word of one from them and you will speak good.
| وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ الَّذِي انْطَلَقَ لاِسْتِدْعَاءِ مِيخَا: «لَقَدْ تَنَبَّأَ جَمِيعُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ بِفَمٍ وَاحِدٍ مُبَشِّرِينَ الْمَلِكَ بِالْخَيْرِ، فَلْيَكُنْ كَلامُكَ مُوَافِقاً لِكَلامِهِمْ يَحْمِلُ بَشَائِرَ الْخَيْرِ». | ١٣ |
14 And he said Micaiah [by] [the] life of Yahweh for [that] which he will say Yahweh to me it I will speak.
| فَأَجَابَ مِيخَا: «حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ إِنَّنِي لَنْ أَنْطِقَ إِلّا بِمَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ». | ١٤ |
15 And he came to the king and he said the king to him O Micaiah ¿ will we go against Ramoth Gilead for battle or? will we refrain and he said to him go up and succeed and he will give [it] Yahweh in [the] hand of the king.
| وَلَمَّا حَضَرَ أَمَامَ الْمَلِكِ سَأَلَهُ: «يَا مِيخَا، هَلْ نَذْهَبُ لِلْحَرْبِ إِلَى رَاُموتَ جِلْعَادَ، أَمْ نَمْتَنِعُ؟» فَأَجَابَهُ (بِتَهَكُّمٍ): «اذْهَبْ فَتَظْفَرَ بِها لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ يُسَلِّمُهَا إِلَى الْمَلِكِ». | ١٥ |
16 And he said to him the king until how many? times [will] I make swear you that not you must speak to me only truth in [the] name of Yahweh.
| فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ: «كَمْ مَرَّةٍ اسْتَحْلَفْتُكَ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أَلّا تُخْبِرَنِي إِلّا الْحَقَّ». | ١٦ |
17 And he said I saw all Israel scattered to the mountains like flock which not [belongs] to them a shepherd and he said Yahweh not masters [belong] to these let them return each to house his in peace.
| عِنْدَئِذٍ قَالَ مِيخَا: «رَأَيْتُ كُلَّ إِسْرَائِيلَ مُبَدَّدِينَ عَلَى الْجِبَالِ كَخِرَافٍ بِلا رَاعٍ. فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ: لَيْسَ لِهَؤُلاءِ قَائِدٌ، فَلْيَرْجِعْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ بِسَلامٍ». | ١٧ |
18 And he said [the] king of Israel to Jehoshaphat ¿ not did I say to you not he prophesies on me good that except evil.
| فَقَالَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ لِيَهُوشَافَاطَ: «أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكَ إِنَّهُ لَا يَتَنَبَّأُ عَلَيَّ بِغَيْرِ الشَّرِّ؟» | ١٨ |
19 And he said therefore hear [the] word of Yahweh I saw Yahweh sitting on throne his and all [the] host of the heavens [was] standing at him from right his and from left his.
| فَأَجَابَ مِيخَا: «إِذاً فَاسْمَعْ كَلامَ الرَّبِّ: قَدْ شَاهَدْتُ الرَّبَّ جَالِساً عَلَى كُرْسِيِّهِ وَكُلُّ أَجْنَادِ السَّمَاءِ مَاثِلَةٌ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ. | ١٩ |
20 And he said Yahweh who? will he deceive Ahab so he may go up and he may fall at Ramoth Gilead and it said this [one] by thus and this [one] [was] saying by thus.
| فَسَأَلَ الرَّبُّ: مَنْ يُغْرِي آخْابَ لِيَخْرُجَ لِلْحَرْبِ وَيَمُوتَ فِي رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ؟ فَأَجَابَ كُلٌّ مِنْهُمْ بِشَيْءٍ. | ٢٠ |
21 And it came forth the spirit and it stood before Yahweh and it said I I will deceive him
| ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ رُوحُ الضَّلالِ وَقَالَ: أَنَا أُغْوِيهِ. فَسَأَلَهُ الرَّبُّ: بِمَاذَا؟ | ٢١ |
22 and he said Yahweh to it how? And it said I will go out and I will be a spirit of falsehood in [the] mouth of all prophets his and he said you will deceive and also you will prevail go out and do thus.
| فَأَجَابَ: أَخْرُجُ، وَأُصْبِحُ رُوحَ ضَلالٍ فِي أَفْوَاهِ جَمِيعِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ. فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ: إِنَّكَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى إِغْوَائِهِ وَتُفْلِحُ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَامْضِ وَنَفِّذْ هَذَا الأَمْرَ. | ٢٢ |
23 And therefore here! he has put Yahweh a spirit of falsehood in [the] mouth of all prophets your these and Yahweh he has spoken on you evil.
| وَهَا الرَّبُّ قَدْ جَعَلَ الآنَ رُوحَ ضَلالٍ فِي أَفْوَاهِ جَمِيعِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ هَؤُلاءِ، وَقَدْ قَضَى عَلَيْكَ بِالشَّرِّ». | ٢٣ |
24 And he drew near Zedekiah [the] son of Kenaanah and he struck Micaiah on the cheek and he said where? this did it pass on [the] spirit of Yahweh from with me to speak with you.
| فَاقْتَرَبَ صِدْقِيَّا بْنُ كَنْعَنَةَ مِنْ مِيخَا وَضَرَبَهُ عَلَى الْفَكِّ قَائِلاً: «مِنْ أَيْنَ عَبَرَ رُوحُ الرَّبِّ مِنِّي لِيُكَلِّمَكَ؟» | ٢٤ |
25 And he said Micaiah there you [are] about to see on the day that when you will go a room in a room to hide yourself.
| فَأَجَابَهُ مِيخَا: «سَتَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي تَلْجَأُ فِيهِ لِلاخْتِبَاءِ مِنْ مُخْدَعٍ إِلَى مُخْدَعٍ». | ٢٥ |
26 And he said [the] king of Israel take Micaiah and take back him to Amon [the] official of the city and to Joash [the] son of the king.
| حِينَئِذٍ أَمَرَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِلاً: «اقْبِضُوا عَلَى مِيخَا وَسَلِّمُوهُ إِلَى آمُونَ رَئِيسِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَإِلَى يُوآشَ ابْنِ الْمَلِكِ، | ٢٦ |
27 And you will say thus he says the king put this [one] [the] house of imprisonment and feed him bread oppression and water oppression until come I in peace.
| وَقُولُوا لَهُمَا: إِنَّ الْمَلِكَ أَمَرَ بِإِيْدَاعِ هَذَا فِي السِّجْنِ، وَأَطْعِمُوهُ خُبْزَ الضِّيقِ وَمَاءَ الضِّيقِ حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ مِنَ الْحَرْبِ بِسَلامٍ». | ٢٧ |
28 And he said Micaiah certainly [if] you will return in peace not he has spoken Yahweh by me and he said listen O peoples all of them.
| فَأَجَابَهُ مِيخَا: «إِنْ رَجَعْتَ بِسَلامٍ لَا يَكُونُ الرَّبُّ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ عَلَى لِسَانِي، فَاشْهَدُوا عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَيُّهَا الشَّعْبُ جَمِيعاً». | ٢٨ |
29 And he went up [the] king of Israel and Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah Ramoth Gilead.
| وَتوَجَّهَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَيَهُوشَافَاطُ مَلِكُ يَهُوذَا إِلَى رَامُوتَ جِلْعَادَ. | ٢٩ |
30 And he said [the] king of Israel to Jehoshaphat I will disguise myself and I will go in the battle and you wear own clothes your and he disguised himself [the] king of Israel and he went in the battle.
| فَقَالَ آخْابُ لِيَهُوشَافَاطَ: «إِنَّنِي سَأَخُوضُ الْحَرْبَ مُتَنَكِّراً، أَمَّا أَنْتَ فَارْتَدِ ثِيَابَكَ الْمَلَكِيَّةَ». وَهَكَذَا تَنَكَّرَ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَخَاضَ الْحَرْبَ. | ٣٠ |
31 And king of Aram he had commanded [the] commanders of the chariotry which [belonged] to him thirty and two saying not you must do battle with [the] small and with [the] great that except with [the] king of Israel to only him.
| وَقَالَ مَلِكُ أَرَامَ لِقَادَةِ مَرْكَبَاتِهِ الاثْنَيْنِ وَالثَّلاثِينَ: «لا تُحَارِبُوا صَغِيراً وَلا كَبِيراً إِلّا مَلِكَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَحْدَهُ». | ٣١ |
32 And it was when saw [the] commanders of the chariotry Jehoshaphat and they they said surely [is] [the] king of Israel he and they turned aside on him to do battle and he cried out Jehoshaphat.
| فَلَمَّا شَاهَدَ قَادَةُ الْمَرْكَبَاتِ يَهُوشَافَاطَ، ظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَحَاصَرُوهُ لِيُقَاتِلُوهُ، فَأَطْلَقَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ صَرْخَةً، | ٣٢ |
33 And it was when saw [the] commanders of the chariotry that not [was] [the] king of Israel he and they turned back from after him.
| أَدْرَكُوا مِنْهَا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مَلِكَ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَارْتَدُّوا عَنْهُ. | ٣٣ |
34 And someone he drew on the bow to innocence his and he struck [the] king of Israel between the joints and between the body armor and he said to charioteer his turn around hand your and take out me from the camp for I have been wounded.
| وَلَكِنْ حَدَثَ أَنَّ جُنْدِيًّا أَطْلَقَ سَهْمَهُ مِنْ قَوْسِهِ غَيْرَ مُتَعَمِّدٍ، فَأَصَابَ مَلِكَ إِسْرَائِيلَ بَيْنَ أَوْصَالِ دِرْعِهِ، فَقَالَ آخْابُ لِقَائِدِ مَرْكَبَتِهِ: «اسْتَدِرْ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنْ أَرْضِ الْمَعْرَكَةِ فَقَدْ جُرِحْتُ» | ٣٤ |
35 And it went up the battle on the day that and the king he was placed in the chariot opposite to Aram and he died in the evening and it flowed [the] blood of the wound into [the] bottom of the chariot.
| وَاشْتَدَّتِ الْمَعْرَكَةُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، وَأَوْقَفَ الْمَلِكُ مَرْكَبَتَهُ فِي مُوَاجَهَةِ الأَرَامِيِّينَ، وَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ مَاتَ عِنْدَ الْمَسَاءِ، فَجَرَى دَمُ الْجُرْحِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْمَرْكَبَةِ. | ٣٥ |
36 And it passed the cry in the camp when went the sun saying everyone to city his and everyone to land his.
| وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ تَجَاوَبَتْ صَرْخَةٌ بَيْنَ قُوَّاتِ الْجَيْشِ: «لِيَرْجِعْ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ إِلَى مَدِينَتِهِ وَإِلَى أَرْضِهِ». | ٣٦ |
37 And he died the king and he came Samaria and people buried the king in Samaria.
| وَهَكَذَا مَاتَ الْمَلِكُ فَنَقَلُوهُ إِلَى السَّامِرَةِ حَيْثُ دُفِنَ فِيهَا. | ٣٧ |
38 And someone washed off the chariot at - [the] pool of Samaria and they licked up the dogs blood his and the prostitutes they bathed according to [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken.
| وَعِنْدَمَا غُسِلَتْ مَرْكَبَتُهُ وَأَسْلِحَتُهُ فِي بِرْكَةِ السَّامِرَةِ، جَاءَتِ الْكِلابُ وَلَحَسَتْ دَمَهُ. فَتَحَقَّقَ بِذَلِكَ كُلُّ مَا أَنْذَرَ بِهِ الرَّبُّ. | ٣٨ |
39 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Ahab and all that he did and [the] house of ivory which he built and all the cities which he built ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
| أَمَّا بَقِيَّةُ أَخْبَارِ آخْابَ وَإِنْجَازَاتُهُ وَبَيْتُ الْعَاجِ الَّذِي بَنَاهُ، وَكُلُّ الْمُدُنِ الَّتِي عَمَّرَهَا، أَلَيْسَتْ هِيَ مُدَوَّنَةً فِي تَارِيخِ أَخْبَارِ أَيَّامِ مُلُوكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ | ٣٩ |
40 And he lay down Ahab with ancestors his and he became king Ahaziah son his in place of him.
| وَدُفِنَ آخْابُ مَعَ آبَائِهِ وَخَلَفَهُ ابْنُهُ أَخَزْيَا عَلَى الْمُلْكِ. | ٤٠ |
41 And Jehoshaphat [the] son of Asa he became king over Judah in year four of Ahab [the] king of Israel.
| وَمَلَكَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ بْنُ آسَا عَلَى يَهُوذَا فِي السَّنَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ مِنْ حُكْمِ آخْابَ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. | ٤١ |
42 Jehoshaphat [was] a son of thirty and five year[s] when became king he and twenty and five year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Azubah [the] daughter of Shilhi.
| وَكَانَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ وَالثَّلاثِينَ حِينَ مَلَكَ، وَدَامَ حُكْمُهُ خَمْساً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً فِي أُورُشَلِيمَ، وَاسْمُ أُمِّهِ عَزُوبَةُ بِنْتُ شَلْحِي | ٤٢ |
43 And he walked in all [the] way of Asa father his not he turned aside from it to do the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh. Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and making smoke at the high places.
| وَاقْتَفَى خُطَى أَبِيهِ آسَا، وَلَمْ يَحِدْ عَنْهَا صَانِعاً مَا هُوَ صَالِحٌ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ. إِلّا أَنَّ مَذَابِحَ الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ لَمْ تُهْدَمْ، بَلْ كَانَ الشَّعْبُ لَا يَزَالُ يَذْبَحُ وَيُوقِدُ عَلَيْهَا. | ٤٣ |
44 And he made peace Jehoshaphat with [the] king of Israel.
| وَوَقَّعَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ مُعَاهَدَةَ صُلْحٍ مَعَ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. | ٤٤ |
45 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehoshaphat and might his which he did and which he waged war ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
| أَمَّا بَقِيَّةُ أَخْبَارِ يَهُوشَافَاطَ وَمَا أَبْدَاهُ مِنْ بَأْسٍ، وَكَيْفَ حَارَبَ، أَلَيْسَتْ هِيَ مُدَوَّنَةً فِي كِتَابِ تَارِيخِ أَخْبَارِ أَيَّامِ مُلُوكِ يَهُوذَا؟ | ٤٥ |
46 And [the] rest of the cult prostitute[s] which it remained in [the] days of Asa father his he destroyed from the land.
| كَمَا أَبَادَ مِنَ الْبِلادِ الَّذِينَ يُمَارِسُونَ الشُّذُوذَ الْجِنْسِيَّ فِي عِبَادَتِهِمِ الْوَثَنِيَّةِ مِمَّنْ بَقُوا مِنْ أَيَّامِ أَبِيهِ آسَا. | ٤٦ |
47 And [was] a king there not in Edom a deputy [was] king.
| وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي زَمَانِهِ مَلِكٌ عَلَى أَدُومَ، بَلْ تَوَلَّى الْحُكْمَ وَكِيلٌ لِلْمَلِكِ. | ٤٧ |
48 Jehoshaphat (he made *Q(K)*) ships of Tarshish to go Ophir towards for gold and not it went for (they were broken *Q(K)*) [the] ships at Ezion Geber.
| وَبَنَى يَهُوشَافَاطُ أُسْطُولاً تِجَارِيًّا لِكَيْ يَبْحُرَ إِلَى أُوفِيرَ وَيَعُودَ مُحَمَّلاً بِالذَّهَبِ، وَلَكِنَّ السُّفُنَ لَمْ تَبْحُرْ لأَنَّهَا تَحَطَّمَتْ فِي عِصْيُونَ جَابَرَ. | ٤٨ |
49 Then he said Ahaziah [the] son of Ahab to Jehoshaphat let them go servants my with servants your in [the] ships and not he was willing Jehoshaphat.
| حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ أَخَزْيَا بْنُ آخْابَ لِيَهُوشَافَاطَ: «لِيَبْحُرْ رِجَالِي مَعَ رِجَالِكَ فِي السُّفُنِ». فَأَبَى يَهُوشَافَاطُ. | ٤٩ |
50 And he lay down Jehoshaphat with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David ancestor his and he became king Jehoram son his in place of him.
| وَمَاتَ يَهُوشَافَاطُ فَدُفِنَ مَعَ أَسْلافِهِ فِي مَدِينَةِ دَاوُدَ أَبِيهِ، وَخَلَفَهُ ابْنُهُ يَهُورَامُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ. | ٥٠ |
51 Ahaziah [the] son of Ahab he became king over Israel in Samaria in year seven-teen of Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah and he reigned over Israel two years.
| وَمَلَكَ أَخَزْيَا بْنُ آخْابَ عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي السَّامِرَةِ، فِي السَّنَةِ السَّابِعَةِ عَشْرَةَ لِحُكْمِ يَهُوشَافَاطَ مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا، وَدَامَ مُلْكُهُ سَنَتَيْنِ، | ٥١ |
52 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he walked in [the] way of father his and in [the] way of mother his and in [the] way of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat who he caused to sin Israel.
| ارْتَكَبَ فِيهِمَا الشَّرَّ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ، وَسَلَكَ فِي سُبُلِ أَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ، وَفِي طَرِيقِ يَرُبْعَامَ بْنِ نَبَاطَ الَّذِي اسْتَغْوَى إِسْرَائِيلَ لاِقْتِرَافِ الإِثْمِ، | ٥٢ |
53 And he served Baal and he bowed down to it and he provoked to anger Yahweh [the] God of Israel according to all that he had done father his.
| وَعَبَدَ أَخَزْيَا الْبَعْلَ وَسَجَدَ لَهُ، فَأَثَارَ بِذَلِكَ غَيْظَ الرَّبِّ، تَمَاماً كَمَا فَعَلَ أَبُوهُ. | ٥٣ |
