1 Kings 2
1 And they drew near [the] days of David to die and he commanded Solomon son his saying.
যখন দাউদের মৃত্যুর সময়কাল ঘনিয়ে এসেছিল, তাঁর ছেলে শলোমনকে তিনি তখন কিছু নির্দেশ দিলেন।
2 I [am] about to go in [the] way of all the earth and you will be strong and you will become a man.
“পৃথিবীতে সবাই যে পথে যায়, আমিও সেই পথেই যাচ্ছি,” তিনি বললেন। “তাই বলবান হও, একজন পুরুষের মতো আচরণ করো,
3 And you will keep [the] charge of - Yahweh God your to walk in ways his to keep statutes his commandments his and judgments his and testimonies his according to [what] is written in [the] law of Moses so that you may cause to prosper all that you will do and every where you will turn there.
এবং তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যা চান, তা লক্ষ্য করো: তাঁর প্রতি বাধ্য হয়ে চলো, আর মোশির বিধানে তাঁর যে হুকুম ও আদেশ, তাঁর বিধান ও বিধিনিয়ম লেখা আছে, তা পালন করো। এরকমটি করো, যেন তুমি যা যা করো ও যেখানে যেখানে যাও, সবেতেই সফল হতে পারো
4 So that he may establish Yahweh word his which he spoke on me saying if they will guard descendants your way their to walk before me in faithfulness with all heart their and with all being their saying not it will be cut off to you a man from on [the] throne of Israel.
এবং সদাপ্রভু যেন আমার কাছে করা তাঁর সেই প্রতিজ্ঞাটি রক্ষা করতে পারেন: ‘যদি তোমার বংশধররা তাদের জীবনযাপনের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখতে পারে, ও যদি তারা আমার সামনে তাদের সমস্ত মনপ্রাণ দিয়ে বিশ্বস্ততাপূর্বক চলে, তবে ইস্রায়েলের সিংহাসনে বসার জন্য তোমার কোনও উত্তরাধিকারীর অভাব হবে না।’
5 And also you you know [that] which he did to me Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [that] which he did to [the] two [the] commanders of [the] armies of Israel to Abner [the] son of Ner and to Amasa [the] son of Jether and he killed them and he put blood of war in peace and he put blood of war on belt his which [was] on loins his and on sandal[s] his which [was] on feet his.
“এখন তুমি নিজেই তো জানো সরূয়ার ছেলে যোয়াব আমার প্রতি কী করল—ইস্রায়েলী সৈন্যদলের দুই সেনাপতি, নেরের ছেলে অবনের ও যেথরের ছেলে অমাসার প্রতি সে কী করল। সে তাদের হত্যা করল, শান্তির সময়েও সে এমনভাবে তাদের রক্তপাত করল, যেন মনে হয় যুদ্ধেই তা হয়েছে, এবং সেই রক্তে সে তার কোমরের কোমরবন্ধ ও পায়ের চটিজুতো রাঙিয়ে নিয়েছিল।
6 And you will act according to wisdom your and not you must bring down grey hair his in peace Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
তোমার প্রজ্ঞা অনুসারেই তার মোকাবিলা কোরো, কিন্তু পাকাচুলে তাকে শান্তিতে কবরে যেতে দিয়ো না। (Sheol h7585)
7 And to [the] sons of Barzillai the Gileadite you will do loyalty and they will be among [those who] eat of table your for thus they drew near to me when fled I from before Absalom brother your.
“কিন্তু গিলিয়দীয় বর্সিল্লয়ের ছেলেদের প্রতি দয়া দেখিয়ো এবং তারা যেন সেইসব লোকজনের মধ্যেই থাকে, যারা তোমার টেবিলে বসে ভোজনপান করবে। আমি যখন তোমার দাদা অবশালোমের কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে গেলাম, তখন তারাই আমার পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছিল।
8 And here! [is] with you Shimei [the] son of Gera [the] Ben-jaminite from Bahurim and he he cursed me a curse grievous on [the] day went I Mahanaim and he he came down to meet me the Jordan and I swore to him by Yahweh saying if I will put to death you by the sword.
“আরও মনে রেখো, তোমার কাছে বহুরীমের অধিবাসী গেরার ছেলে বিন্যামীনীয় শিমিয়ি আছে। যেদিন আমি মহনয়িমে গেলাম, সেদিন সে আমাকে সাংঘাতিক অভিশাপ দিয়েছিল। সে যখন জর্ডন নদীর পারে আমার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এসেছিল, আমি সদাপ্রভুর নামে শপথ করে তাকে বললাম: ‘আমি তরোয়ালের আঘাতে তোমাকে হত্যা করব না।’
9 And therefore may not you leave unpunished him for [are] a man wise you and you will know [that] which you will do to him and you will bring down grey hair his in blood Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
কিন্তু এখন, তাকে আর নির্দোষ বলে মনে কোরো না। তুমি একজন বিচক্ষণ লোক; তুমি জেনে নিয়ো, তার প্রতি কী করতে হবে। রক্তশুদ্ধ পাকাচুলে তাকে কবরে পাঠিয়ো।” (Sheol h7585)
10 And he lay down David with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] city of David.
পরে দাউদ তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে চিরবিশ্রামে শায়িত হলেন এবং তাঁকে দাউদ-নগরে কবর দেওয়া হল।
11 And the days which he reigned David over Israel [were] forty year[s] in Hebron he reigned seven years and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.
তিনি ইস্রায়েলে চল্লিশ বছর—সাত বছর হিব্রোণে ও তেত্রিশ বছর জেরুশালেমে—রাজত্ব করলেন।
12 And Solomon he sat on [the] throne of David father his and it was established reign his exceedingly.
অতএব শলোমন তাঁর বাবা দাউদের সিংহাসনে বসেছিলেন, ও তাঁর শাসনকাল স্থিতিশীল হল।
13 And he came Adonijah [the] son of Haggith to Bath-sheba [the] mother of Solomon and she said ¿ peace [are] coming you and he said peace.
এদিকে হগীতের ছেলে আদোনিয় শলোমনের মা বৎশেবার কাছে গেল। বৎশেবা তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “তুমি কি শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে এসেছ?” সে উত্তর দিয়েছিল, “হ্যাঁ, শান্তিপূর্ণভাবেই এসেছি।”
14 And he said a word [belongs] to me to you and she said speak.
সে আরও বলল, “আপনাকে আমার কিছু বলার আছে।” “তুমি বলতে পারো,” তিনি উত্তর দিলেন।
15 And he said you you know that to me it belonged the kingship and on me they set all Israel faces their to become king and it has turned round the kingship and it has belonged to brother my for from Yahweh it belonged to him.
“আপনি তো জানেনই,” সে বলল, “রাজ্যটি আমারই ছিল। ইস্রায়েলে সবাই আমাকেই তাদের রাজারূপে দেখতে চেয়েছিল। কিন্তু পরে পরিস্থিতি বদলে গেল, ও রাজ্যটি আমার ভাইয়ের হাতে চলে গিয়েছে; কারণ সদাপ্রভুর দিক থেকেই এটি তার কাছে এসেছে।
16 And now a petition one I [am] asking from with you may not you turn away face my and she said to him speak.
এখন আমি আপনার কাছে একটি অনুরোধ রাখছি। আমাকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করবেন না।” “তুমি বলতে পারো,” তিনি বললেন।
17 And he said speak please to Solomon the king for not he will turn away face your so he may give to me Abishag the Shunammite to a wife.
অতএব সে বলে গেল, “দয়া করে রাজা শলোমনকে বলুন—তিনি আপনার কথা অগ্রাহ্য করবেন না—তিনি যেন আমার স্ত্রী হওয়ার জন্য শূনেমীয়া অবীশগকে আমার হাতে তুলে দেন।”
18 And she said Bath-sheba good I I will speak on you to the king.
“ঠিক আছে,” বৎশেবা উত্তর দিলেন, “আমি তোমার হয়ে রাজার সঙ্গে কথা বলব।”
19 And she went Bath-sheba to the king Solomon to speak to him on Adonijah and he rose the king to meet her and he bowed down to her and he sat on throne his and he placed a throne for [the] mother of the king and she sat to right [hand] his.
বৎশেবা যখন আদোনিয়ের হয়ে কথা বলার জন্য রাজা শলোমনের কাছে গেলেন, তাঁর সঙ্গে দেখা করার জন্য রাজা উঠে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন, তাঁকে প্রণাম করলেন ও নিজের সিংহাসনে বসে পড়েছিলেন। তিনি রাজমাতার জন্য একটি সিংহাসন আনিয়েছিলেন, ও বৎশেবা তাঁর ডানদিকে গিয়ে বসেছিলেন।
20 And she said a petition one small I [am] asking from with you may not you turn away face my and he said to her the king ask O mother my for not I will turn away face your.
“তোমার কাছে আমার একটি ছোটো অনুরোধ জানানোর আছে,” তিনি বললেন। “আমাকে প্রত্যাখ্যান কোরো না।” রাজা উত্তর দিলেন, “মা, বলে ফেলো; আমি তোমাকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করব না।”
21 And she said let it be given Abishag the Shunammite to Adonijah brother your to a wife.
অতএব বৎশেবা বললেন, “তোমার দাদা আদোনিয়ের সঙ্গে শূনেমীয়া অবীশগের বিয়ে দিয়ে দাও।”
22 And he answered the king Solomon and he said to mother his and why? [are] you asking Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah and ask for him the kingship for he [is] brother my old more than me and for him and for Abiathar the priest and for Joab [the] son of Zeruiah.
রাজা শলোমন তাঁর মাকে উত্তর দিলেন, “আদোনিয়ের জন্য তুমি কেন শূনেমীয়া অবীশগকে চাইছ? তুমি তো তার জন্য রাজ্যটিও চাইতে পারো—যাই হোক না কেন, সে তো আমার বড়ো দাদা—হ্যাঁ, তার ও যাজক অবিয়াথর ও সরূয়ার ছেলে যোয়াবের জন্যও তো চাইতে পারো!”
23 And he swore an oath the king Solomon by Yahweh saying thus may he do to me God and thus may he add if by own life his he has spoken Adonijah the word this.
পরে রাজা শলোমন সদাপ্রভুর নামে দিব্যি করে বললেন: “এই অনুরোধ জানানোর জন্য আদোনিয়কে যদি তার প্রাণ হারাতে না হয়, তবে যেন ঈশ্বর আমাকে কঠোর থেকে কঠোরতর দণ্ড দেন!
24 And therefore [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he appointed me (and he made sit me *Q(k)*) on [the] throne of David father my and who he has made for me a house just as he spoke that this day he will be put to death Adonijah.
আর এখন, সেই জীবন্ত সদাপ্রভুর দিব্যি—যিনি আমাকে পাকাপাকিভাবে আমার বাবা দাউদের সিংহাসনে বসিয়েছেন এবং তাঁর প্রতিজ্ঞানুসারে এক সাম্রাজ্য স্থাপন করেছেন—আজই আদোনিয়কে মেরে ফেলা হবে!”
25 And he sent the king Solomon by [the] hand of Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and he fell on him and he died.
অতএব রাজা শলোমন যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায়কে আদেশ দিলেন, ও তিনি আদোনিয়কে আঘাত করলেন ও সে মারা গেল।
26 And to Abiathar the priest he said the king Anathoth go to fields your for [are] a man of death you and on the day this not I will put to death you for you carried [the] ark of [the] Lord Yahweh before David father my and for you were afflicted in all that he was afflicted father my.
যাজক অবিয়াথরকে রাজা বললেন, “আপনি অনাথোতে আপনার ক্ষেতে ফিরে যান। আপনি মরারই যোগ্য, তবে এখন আমি আপনাকে মারছি না, কারণ আমার বাবা দাউদের কাছে থেকে আপনি সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি বহন করলেন এবং আমার বাবার সব কষ্টের সাথী হলেন।”
27 And he drove out Solomon Abiathar from being a priest of Yahweh to fulfill [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken on [the] house of Eli in Shiloh.
অতএব শীলোতে এলির বংশের বিষয়ে সদাপ্রভু যা বলেছিলেন, তা সত্য প্রমাণিত করে শলোমন অবিয়াথরকে যাজক পদ থেকে সরিয়ে দিলেন।
28 And the report it came to Joab for Joab he had turned aside after Adonijah and after Absalom not he had turned aside and he fled Joab to [the] tent of Yahweh and he took hold on [the] horns of the altar.
এই খবরটি যখন সেই যোয়াবের কাছে পৌঁছেছিল, যিনি অবশালোমের সঙ্গে ষড়যন্ত্রে শামিল না হলেও আদোনিয়ের সঙ্গে ষড়যন্ত্রে শামিল হলেন, তখন তিনি সদাপ্রভুর আবাস তাঁবুতে পালিয়ে গিয়ে যজ্ঞবেদির শিংগুলি আঁকড়ে জড়িয়ে ধরলেন।
29 And it was told to the king Solomon that he had fled Joab to [the] tent of Yahweh and there! [he was] beside the altar and he sent Solomon Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada saying go fall on him.
রাজা শলোমনকে বলা হল যে যোয়াব সদাপ্রভুর আবাস তাঁবুতে পালিয়ে গিয়েছেন ও যজ্ঞবেদির পাশেই আছেন। তখন শলোমন যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায়কে আদেশ দিলেন, “যাও, তাঁকে গিয়ে আঘাত করো!”
30 And he went Benaiah to [the] tent of Yahweh and he said to him thus he says the king come out and he said - In-deed here I will die and he brought back Benaiah the king word saying thus he spoke Joab and thus he answered me.
অতএব বনায় সদাপ্রভুর আবাস তাঁবুতে ঢুকে যোয়াবকে বললেন, “রাজামশাই বলছেন, ‘বেরিয়ে আসুন!’” কিন্তু তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “তা হবে না, আমি এখানেই মরব।” বনায় রাজাকে খবর দিলেন, “যোয়াব এভাবেই আমার কথার উত্তর দিয়েছেন।”
31 And he said to him the king do just as he has spoken and fall on him and you will bury him and you will remove - blood of without cause which he has shed Joab from on me and from on [the] house of father my.
তখন রাজামশাই বনায়কে আদেশ দিলেন, “তাঁর কথামতোই কাজ করো। তাঁকে আঘাত করে মেরে কবর দিয়ে দাও, ও এভাবেই যোয়াব যে নির্দোষ রক্তপাত করলেন তার দোষ থেকে আমাকে ও আমার পরিবারকে মুক্ত করো।
32 And he will bring back Yahweh blood his on head his who he fell on two men righteous and good more than him and he killed them with the sword and father my David not he knew Abner [the] son of Ner [the] commander of [the] army of Israel and Amasa [the] son of Jether [the] commander of [the] army of Judah.
তিনি যে রক্তপাত করলেন, তার প্রতিফল তাঁকে সদাপ্রভুই দেবেন, কারণ আমার বাবা দাউদের অজান্তেই তিনি দুজন মানুষকে আক্রমণ করে তরোয়ালের আঘাতে তাদের মেরে ফেলেছিলেন। তারা দুজনই—নেরের ছেলে, তথা ইস্রায়েলী সৈন্যদলের সেনাপতি অবনের, এবং যেথরের ছেলে, তথা যিহূদা সৈন্যদলের সেনাপতি অমাসা—ভালো লোক ছিলেন এবং তাঁর তুলনায় বেশি সৎ ছিলেন।
33 And they will return blood their on [the] head of Joab and on [the] head of offspring his for ever and to David and to offspring his and to house his and to throne his it will belong peace until perpetuity from with Yahweh.
তাদের রক্তপাতের অপরাধ চিরকাল যেন যোয়াব ও তাঁর বংশধরদের মাথার উপরেই বর্তায়। কিন্তু দাউদ ও তাঁর বংশধরদের, তাঁর পরিবার ও তাঁর সিংহাসনের উপর যেন চিরকাল সদাপ্রভুর শান্তি বিরাজমান থাকে।”
34 And he went up Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and he fell on him and he put to death him and he was buried in own house his in the wilderness.
অতএব যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায় গিয়ে যোয়াবকে আঘাত করে তাঁকে হত্যা করলেন, এবং তাঁকে গ্রামাঞ্চলে তাঁর ঘরের উঠোনে কবর দেওয়া হল।
35 And he put the king Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada in place of him over the army and Zadok the priest he put the king in place of Abiathar.
রাজামশাই যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায়কে যোয়াবের স্থানে সৈন্যদলের সেনাপতি নিযুক্ত করলেন এবং অবিয়াথরের পরিবর্তে যাজক সাদোককে নিযুক্ত করলেন।
36 And he sent the king and he summoned Shimei and he said to him build for yourself a house in Jerusalem and you will dwell there and not you must go out from there where? and where?
পরে রাজামশাই শিমিয়িকে ডেকে পাঠিয়ে তাকে বললেন, “জেরুশালেমে একটি বাড়ি তৈরি করে সেখানে গিয়ে থাকো, কিন্তু আর কোথাও যেয়ো না।
37 And it will be - on [the] day going out you and you will pass over [the] wadi of Kidron certainly you will know that certainly you will die blood your it will be on own head your.
যেদিন তুমি নগর ছেড়ে কিদ্রোণ উপত্যকা পার করবে, সেদিন নিশ্চিত জেনো, তুমি মরবেই মরবে; তোমার রক্তপাতের অপরাধ তোমার মাথাতেই বর্তাবে।”
38 And he said Shimei to the king [is] good the word just as he has spoken lord my the king so he will do servant your and he dwelt Shimei in Jerusalem days many.
শিমিয়ি রাজাকে উত্তর দিয়েছিল, “আপনি যা বলেছেন, ভালোই বলেছেন। আমার প্রভু মহারাজ যা বলেছেন, আপনার দাস তাই করবে।” আর শিমিয়ি বেশ কিছুকাল জেরুশালেমে থেকে গেল।
39 And it was from [the] end of three years and they fled two servants of Shimei to Achish [the] son of Maacah [the] king of Gath and people told to Shimei saying there! servants your [are] in Gath.
কিন্তু তিন বছর পর শিমিয়ির দাসদের মধ্যে দুজন দাস, মাখার ছেলে তথা গাতের রাজা আখীশের কাছে পালিয়ে গেল, এবং শিমিয়িকে বলা হল, “তোমার দাসেরা গাতে আছে।”
40 And he arose Shimei and he saddled donkey his and he went Gath towards to Achish to seek servants his and he went Shimei and he brought servants his from Gath.
একথা শুনে সে তার গাধার পিঠে জিন চাপিয়ে, তার দাসদের খোঁজে গাতে আখীশের কাছে গেল। অতএব শিমিয়ি গিয়ে গাত থেকে তার দাসদের নিয়ে এসেছিল।
41 And it was told to Solomon that he had gone Shimei from Jerusalem Gath and he had returned.
শলোমনকে যখন বলা হল যে শিমিয়ি জেরুশালেম থেকে গাতে গিয়ে আবার ফিরেও এসেছে,
42 And he sent the king and he summoned Shimei and he said to him ¿ not did I make swear you by Yahweh and did I warn? you saying on [the] day going out you and you will go where? and where? certainly you will know that certainly you will die and you said to me [is] good the word I have heard.
রাজামশাই শিমিয়িকে ডেকে পাঠিয়ে তাকে বললেন, “আমি কি সদাপ্রভুর নামে তোমাকে শপথ করাইনি ও সাবধান করে দিইনি, ‘যেদিন তুমি অন্য কোথাও যাওয়ার জন্য পা বাড়াবে, তুমি নিশ্চিত থেকো, তোমাকে মরতেই হবে’? সেসময় তুমি আমাকে বললে, ‘আপনি যা বলেছেন, ভালোই বলেছেন। আমি এর বাধ্য হব।’
43 And why? not have you kept [the] oath of Yahweh and the command which I commanded to you.
তবে কেন তুমি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে করা শপথ রক্ষা করোনি এবং আমার দেওয়া আদেশের বাধ্য হওনি?”
44 And he said the king to Shimei you you know all the evil which it knows heart your which you did to David father my and he will return Yahweh evil your on head your.
রাজামশাই শিমিয়িকে আরও বললেন, “আমার বাবা দাউদের প্রতি তুমি যে অন্যায় করলে তা তো তুমি বিলক্ষণ জানো। এখন সদাপ্রভুই তোমার অন্যায় কাজের প্রতিফল দেবেন।
45 And the king Solomon [will be] blessed and [the] throne of David it will be established before Yahweh until perpetuity.
কিন্তু রাজা শলোমন আশীর্বাদধন্য হবেন, এবং সদাপ্রভুর সামনে দাউদের সিংহাসন চিরকাল সুরক্ষিত থাকবে।”
46 And he commanded the king Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and he went out and he fell on him and he died and the kingdom it was established in [the] hand of Solomon.
পরে রাজামশাই যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায়কে আদেশ দিলেন, এবং তিনি বাইরে গিয়ে শিমিয়িকে আঘাত করলেন ও সে মারা গেল। অতএব শলোমনের হাতে রাজ্য সুস্থির হল।
