1 Kings 18
1 And it was days many and [the] word of Yahweh it came to Elijah in the year third saying go present yourself to Ahab so let me give rain on [the] surface of the ground.
Dan sesudah beberapa lama, datanglah firman TUHAN kepada Elia dalam tahun yang ketiga: "Pergilah, perlihatkanlah dirimu kepada Ahab, sebab Aku hendak memberi hujan ke atas muka bumi."
2 And he went Elijah to present himself to Ahab and the famine [was] severe in Samaria.
Lalu pergilah Elia memperlihatkan diri kepada Ahab. Adapun kelaparan itu berat di Samaria.
3 And he summoned Ahab Obadiah who [was] over the household and Obadiah he was fearing Yahweh exceedingly.
Sebab itu Ahab telah memanggil Obaja yang menjadi kepala istana. Obaja itu seorang yang sungguh-sungguh takut akan TUHAN.
4 And it was when cut off Jezebel [the] prophets of Yahweh and he took Obadiah one hundred prophets and he hid them fifty man in the cave and he supplied them food and water.
Karena pada waktu Izebel melenyapkan nabi-nabi TUHAN, Obaja mengambil seratus orang nabi, lalu menyembunyikan mereka lima puluh lima puluh sekelompok dalam gua dan mengurus makanan dan minuman mereka.
5 And he said Ahab to Obadiah go in the land to all [the] springs of water and to all the wadis perhaps - we will find grass so we may preserve alive horse and mule and not we will cut off any of the livestock.
Ahab berkata kepada Obaja: "Jelajahilah negeri ini dan pergi ke segala mata air dan ke semua sungai; barangkali kita menemukan rumput, sehingga kita dapat menyelamatkan kuda dan bagal, dan tidak usah kita memotong seekorpun dari hewan itu."
6 And they divided to themselves the land to pass in it Ahab he went in a direction one to only him and Obadiah he went in a direction one to only him.
Lalu mereka membagi-bagi tanah itu untuk menjelajahinya. Ahab pergi seorang diri ke arah yang satu dan Obaja pergi ke arah yang lain.
7 And he was Obadiah on the way and there! Elijah to meet him and he recognized him and he fell on face his and he said ¿ you [is] this O lord my Elijah.
Sedang Obaja di tengah jalan, ia bertemu dengan Elia. Setelah mengenali dia, ia sujud serta bertanya: "Engkaukah ini, hai tuanku Elia?"
8 And he said to him [it is] I go say to master your here! Elijah.
Jawab Elia kepadanya: "Benar! Pergilah, katakan kepada tuanmu: Elia ada."
9 And he said what? have I sinned that you [are] giving servant your in [the] hand of Ahab to put to death me.
Tetapi jawab Obaja: "Apakah dosa yang telah kuperbuat, maka engkau hendak menyerahkan hambamu ini kepada Ahab, supaya aku dibunuhnya?
10 [by] [the] life - Of Yahweh God your if there [is] a nation and a kingdom where not he has sent master my there to seek you and they said not and he made swear the kingdom and the nation that not it has found you.
Demi TUHAN, Allahmu, yang hidup, sesungguhnya tidak ada bangsa atau kerajaan, yang tidak didatangi suruhan tuanku Ahab untuk mencari engkau. Dan apabila orang berkata: Ia tidak ada, maka ia menyuruh kerajaan atau bangsa itu bersumpah, bahwa engkau tidak ditemukan di sana.
11 And now you [are] saying go say to master your here! Elijah.
Dan sekarang engkau berkata: Pergilah, katakan kepada tuanmu: Elia ada.
12 And it will be I - I will go from with you and [the] spirit of Yahweh - it will carry away you to where not I know and I will go to tell to Ahab and not he will find you and he will kill me and servant your [is] fearing Yahweh since youth my.
Mungkin terjadi, apabila aku sudah pergi dari padamu, Roh TUHAN mengangkat engkau ke tempat yang tidak kuketahui. Kalau aku sampai kepada Ahab untuk memberitahukannya dan engkau tidak didapatinya, tentulah ia akan membunuh aku, padahal hambamu ini dari sejak kecil takut akan TUHAN.
13 ¿ Not has it been told to lord my [that] which I did when killed Jezebel [the] prophets of Yahweh and I hid of [the] prophets of Yahweh one hundred man fifty fifty man in the cave and I supplied them food and water.
Tidakkah diberitahukan kepada tuanku apa yang telah kulakukan pada waktu Izebel membunuh nabi-nabi TUHAN, bagaimana aku menyembunyikan seratus orang nabi-nabi TUHAN dalam gua, lima puluh lima puluh sekelompok dan mengurus makanan dan minuman mereka?
14 And now you [are] saying go say to master your here! Elijah and he will kill me.
Dan sekarang, mengapa engkau ini berkata: Pergilah, katakan kepada tuanmu: Elia ada! Ia pasti akan membunuh aku."
15 And he said Elijah [by] [the] life of Yahweh of hosts whom I stand before him for this day I will present myself to him.
Jawab Elia: "Demi TUHAN semesta alam yang hidup, yang kulayani, sesungguhnya hari ini juga aku akan memperlihatkan diri kepadanya."
16 And he went Obadiah to meet Ahab and he told to him and he went Ahab to meet Elijah.
Lalu pergilah Obaja menemui Ahab dan memberitahukan hal itu kepadanya. Kemudian Ahab pergi menemui Elia.
17 And it was when saw Ahab Elijah and he said Ahab to him ¿ you [is] this O [one who] troubles Israel.
Segera sesudah Ahab melihat Elia, ia berkata kepadanya: "Engkaukah itu, yang mencelakakan Israel?"
18 And he said not I have troubled Israel that except you and [the] household of father your because have forsaken you [the] commandments of Yahweh and you have walked after the Baals.
Jawab Elia kepadanya: "Bukan aku yang mencelakakan Israel, melainkan engkau ini dan kaum keluargamu, sebab kamu telah meninggalkan perintah-perintah TUHAN dan engkau ini telah mengikuti para Baal.
19 And now send gather to me all Israel to [the] mountain of Carmel and [the] prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty and [the] prophets of Asherah four hundred [who] eat of [the] table of Jezebel.
Sebab itu, suruhlah mengumpulkan seluruh Israel ke gunung Karmel, juga nabi-nabi Baal yang empat ratus lima puluh orang itu dan nabi-nabi Asyera yang empat ratus itu, yang mendapat makan dari meja istana Izebel."
20 And he sent Ahab among all [the] people of Israel and he gathered the prophets to [the] mountain of Carmel.
Ahab mengirim orang ke seluruh Israel dan mengumpulkan nabi-nabi itu ke gunung Karmel.
21 And he drew near Elijah to all the people and he said until when? [will] you [be] limping on [the] two the crutches if Yahweh [is] God walk after him and if Baal walk after him and not they answered the people him a word.
Lalu Elia mendekati seluruh rakyat itu dan berkata: "Berapa lama lagi kamu berlaku timpang dan bercabang hati? Kalau TUHAN itu Allah, ikutilah Dia, dan kalau Baal, ikutilah dia." Tetapi rakyat itu tidak menjawabnya sepatah katapun.
22 And he said Elijah to the people I I am left a prophet of Yahweh to alone me and [the] prophets of Baal [are] four hundred and fifty man.
Lalu Elia berkata kepada rakyat itu: "Hanya aku seorang diri yang tinggal sebagai nabi TUHAN, padahal nabi-nabi Baal itu ada empat ratus lima puluh orang banyaknya.
23 And let people give to us two young bulls and let them choose for themselves the young bull one and let them cut in pieces it and they may put on the wood and fire not they will set and I I will prepare - the young bull one and I will put on the wood and fire not I will set.
Namun, baiklah diberikan kepada kami dua ekor lembu jantan; biarlah mereka memilih seekor lembu, memotong-motongnya, menaruhnya ke atas kayu api, tetapi mereka tidak boleh menaruh api. Akupun akan mengolah lembu yang seekor lagi, meletakkannya ke atas kayu api dan juga tidak akan menaruh api.
24 And you will call on [the] name of god your and I I will call on [the] name of Yahweh and he will be the god who he will answer by fire he God and it answered all the people and they said [is] good the word.
Kemudian biarlah kamu memanggil nama allahmu dan akupun akan memanggil nama TUHAN. Maka allah yang menjawab dengan api, dialah Allah!" Seluruh rakyat menyahut, katanya: "Baiklah demikian!"
25 And he said Elijah to [the] prophets of Baal choose for yourselves the young bull one and prepare [it] first for you [are] the many and call on [the] name of god your and fire not you will set.
Kemudian Elia berkata kepada nabi-nabi Baal itu: "Pilihlah seekor lembu dan olahlah itu dahulu, karena kamu ini banyak. Sesudah itu panggillah nama allahmu, tetapi kamu tidak boleh menaruh api."
26 And they took the young bull which someone gave to them and they prepared [it] and they called on [the] name of Baal from the morning and until the noontide saying O Baal answer us and there not [was] a sound and there not [was one who] answered and they limped around at the altar which he had made.
Mereka mengambil lembu yang diberikan kepada mereka, mengolahnya dan memanggil nama Baal dari pagi sampai tengah hari, katanya: "Ya Baal, jawablah kami!" Tetapi tidak ada suara, tidak ada yang menjawab. Sementara itu mereka berjingkat-jingkat di sekeliling mezbah yang dibuat mereka itu.
27 And it was at the noontide and he mocked them Elijah and he said call out with a voice great for [is] a god he for musing and for a going away [belongs] to him and for a journey [belongs] to him perhaps [is] sleeping he so he may awake.
Pada waktu tengah hari Elia mulai mengejek mereka, katanya: "Panggillah lebih keras, bukankah dia allah? Mungkin ia merenung, mungkin ada urusannya, mungkin ia bepergian; barangkali ia tidur, dan belum terjaga."
28 And they called out with a voice great and they cut themselves according to custom their with swords and with lances until poured out blood over them.
Maka mereka memanggil lebih keras serta menoreh-noreh dirinya dengan pedang dan tombak, seperti kebiasaan mereka, sehingga darah bercucuran dari tubuh mereka.
29 And it was when passed the noontide and they prophesied until goes up the offering and there not [was] a sound and there not [was one who] answered and there not [was] attention.
Sesudah lewat tengah hari, mereka kerasukan sampai waktu mempersembahkan korban petang, tetapi tidak ada suara, tidak ada yang menjawab, tidak ada tanda perhatian.
30 And he said Elijah to all the people draw near to me and they drew near all the people to him and he repaired [the] altar of Yahweh that was torn down.
Kata Elia kepada seluruh rakyat itu: "Datanglah dekat kepadaku!" Maka mendekatlah seluruh rakyat itu kepadanya. Lalu ia memperbaiki mezbah TUHAN yang telah diruntuhkan itu.
31 And he took Elijah two [plus] ten stones according to [the] number of [the] tribes of [the] sons of Jacob whom it had come [the] word of Yahweh to him saying Israel it will be name your.
Kemudian Elia mengambil dua belas batu, menurut jumlah suku keturunan Yakub. --Kepada Yakub ini telah datang firman TUHAN: "Engkau akan bernama Israel." --
32 And he built the stones an altar in [the] name of Yahweh and he made a trench like a receptacle of two seahs seed around the altar.
Ia mendirikan batu-batu itu menjadi mezbah demi nama TUHAN dan membuat suatu parit sekeliling mezbah itu yang dapat memuat dua sukat benih.
33 And he arranged the wood and he cut it in pieces the young bull and he put [it] on the wood. And he said fill four jars water and pour [it] on the burnt offering and on the wood
Ia menyusun kayu api, memotong lembu itu dan menaruh potongan-potongannya di atas kayu api itu.
34 and he said do again and they did again and he said do a third time and they did a third time.
Sesudah itu ia berkata: "Penuhilah empat buyung dengan air, dan tuangkan ke atas korban bakaran dan ke atas kayu api itu!" Kemudian katanya: "Buatlah begitu untuk kedua kalinya!" Dan mereka berbuat begitu untuk kedua kalinya. Kemudian katanya: "Buatlah begitu untuk ketiga kalinya!" Dan mereka berbuat begitu untuk ketiga kalinya,
35 And they went the waters around the altar and also the trench he filled water.
sehingga air mengalir sekeliling mezbah itu; bahkan parit itupun penuh dengan air.
36 And it was - when went up the offering and he drew near Elijah the prophet and he said O Yahweh [the] God of Abraham Isaac and Israel this day let it be known that you [are] God in Israel and I [am] servant your (and at word your *Q(K)*) I have done all the things these.
Kemudian pada waktu mempersembahkan korban petang, tampillah nabi Elia dan berkata: "Ya TUHAN, Allah Abraham, Ishak dan Israel, pada hari ini biarlah diketahui orang, bahwa Engkaulah Allah di tengah-tengah Israel dan bahwa aku ini hamba-Mu dan bahwa atas firman-Mulah aku melakukan segala perkara ini.
37 Answer me O Yahweh answer me so they may know the people this that you O Yahweh [are] God and you you have turned around heart their backwards.
Jawablah aku, ya TUHAN, jawablah aku, supaya bangsa ini mengetahui, bahwa Engkaulah Allah, ya TUHAN, dan Engkaulah yang membuat hati mereka tobat kembali."
38 And it fell [the] fire of Yahweh and it consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust and the water which [was] in the trench it licked up.
Lalu turunlah api TUHAN menyambar habis korban bakaran, kayu api, batu dan tanah itu, bahkan air yang dalam parit itu habis dijilatnya.
39 And it saw all the people and they fell on faces their and they said Yahweh he [is] God Yahweh he [is] God.
Ketika seluruh rakyat melihat kejadian itu, sujudlah mereka serta berkata: "TUHAN, Dialah Allah! TUHAN, Dialah Allah!"
40 And he said Elijah to them seize - [the] prophets of Baal anyone may not he escape of them and they seized them and he brought down them Elijah to [the] wadi of Kishon and he slaughtered them there.
Kata Elia kepada mereka: "Tangkaplah nabi-nabi Baal itu, seorangpun dari mereka tidak boleh luput." Setelah ditangkap, Elia membawa mereka ke sungai Kison dan menyembelih mereka di sana.
41 And he said Elijah to Ahab go up eat and drink for [the] sound of [the] noise of rain.
Kemudian berkatalah Elia kepada Ahab: "Pergilah, makanlah dan minumlah, sebab bunyi derau hujan sudah kedengaran."
42 And he went up Ahab to eat and to drink and Elijah he went up to [the] top of Carmel and he crouched [the] ground towards and he put face his between (knees his. *Q(K)*)
Lalu Ahab pergi untuk makan dan minum. Tetapi Elia naik ke puncak gunung Karmel, lalu ia membungkuk ke tanah, dengan mukanya di antara kedua lututnya.
43 And he said to servant his go up please look [the] direction of [the] sea and he went up and he looked and he said there not [is] anything and he said go back seven times.
Setelah itu ia berkata kepada bujangnya: "Naiklah ke atas, lihatlah ke arah laut." Bujang itu naik ke atas, ia melihat dan berkata: "Tidak ada apa-apa." Kata Elia: "Pergilah sekali lagi." Demikianlah sampai tujuh kali.
44 And it was at the seventh [time] and he said there! a cloud small like [the] hand of a person [is] coming up from [the] sea and he said go up say to Ahab harness and go down and not it will hold back you the rain.
Pada ketujuh kalinya berkatalah bujang itu: "Wah, awan kecil sebesar telapak tangan timbul dari laut." Lalu kata Elia: "Pergilah, katakan kepada Ahab: Pasang keretamu dan turunlah, jangan sampai engkau terhalang oleh hujan."
45 And it was - until thus and until thus and the heavens they grew dark clouds and wind and it was rain great and he rode Ahab and he went Jezreel towards.
Maka dalam sekejap mata langit menjadi kelam oleh awan badai, lalu turunlah hujan yang lebat. Ahab naik kereta lalu pergi ke Yizreel.
46 And [the] hand of Yahweh it was to Elijah and he girded up loins his and he ran before Ahab until coming you Jezreel towards.
Tetapi kuasa TUHAN berlaku atas Elia. Ia mengikat pinggangnya dan berlari mendahului Ahab sampai ke jalan yang menuju Yizreel.
