< 1 Kings 17 >
1 And he said Elijah the Tishbite one of [the] resident aliens of Gilead to Ahab [by] [the] life of Yahweh [the] God of Israel whom I stand before him if it will be the years these dew and rain that except to [the] mouth of word my.
Gilead prae Tishbe avang ah kaom Elijah mah Ahab khaeah, Kai mah a hmaa ah kang doet moe, a tok ka sak pae ih Israel Angraeng Sithaw loe hing pongah, ka thuih ih lok ai ah loe, vaining saning thungah dantui krah mak ai, kho doeh angzo mak ai boeh, tiah a naa.
2 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to him saying.
To naah Angraeng ih lok Elijah khaeah angzoh,
3 Go from here and you will turn yourself east-ward and you will hide yourself at [the] wadi of Kerith which [is] on [the] face of the Jordan.
hae ih ahmuen hae tacawt taak loe, ni angyae bangah caeh ah, Jordan vapui hmaa ah kaom, Kerith vacong ah anghawk ah.
4 And it will be from the wadi you will drink and the ravens I have commanded to supply you there.
Vacong tui to nae ah; nang pacah hanah pangaah to lok ka paek boeh, tiah a naa.
5 And he went and he did according to [the] word of Yahweh and he went and he dwelt at [the] wadi of Kerith which [is] on [the] face of the Jordan.
Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, anih mah sak; Jordan vapui hmaa ah kaom, Kerith vacong ah caeh moe, to ahmuen ah oh.
6 And the ravens [were] bringing to him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening and from the wadi he drank.
Aduem akhawn pangaah mah takaw hoi moi to thak pae moe, vacong tui to a naek.
7 And it was from [the] end of days and it dried up the wadi for not it had been rain in the land.
Atue nazetto maw oh pacoengah loe, prae thungah kho angzo ai boeh, to pongah vacong tui to kang king.
8 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to him saying.
Angraeng ih lok anih khaeah angzoh,
9 Arise go Zarephath towards which [belongs] to Sidon and you will dwell there here! I have commanded there a woman a widow to supply you.
angthawk ah, Sidon prae Zerephath vangpui ah caeh loe, to ah om ah; khenah, nang buh pacah hanah to ahmuen ah kaom lamhmai maeto khaeah lok ka paek boeh, tiah a naa.
10 And he arose - and he went Zarephath towards and he came to [the] entrance of the city and there! there a woman a widow [was] gathering wood and he called out to her and he said get please for me a little of water in vessel so I may drink.
To pongah anih mah angthawk moe, Zerephath ah caeh; khenah, vangpui khongkha a phak naah, thing aek nongpata maeto oh; anih mah to lamhmai nongpata to kawk moe, anih khaeah, Tahmenhaih hoi ka naek hanah boengloeng pongah tui zetta na paek ah, tiah a naa.
11 And she went to get [it] and he called out to her and he said get please for me a piece of bread in hand your.
Lamhmai nongpata mah tui to lak hanah caeh naah, anih mah, Tahmenhaih hoi takaw kae tetta doeh na sin thoem ah, tiah a naa.
12 And she said [by] [the] life of Yahweh God your if there to me [is] food that except [the] fullness of a palm of flour in jar and a little of oil in jug and here I [am] gathering two wood and I will go and I will prepare it for myself and for son my and we will eat it and we will die.
Lamhmai nongpata mah, na Angraeng Sithaw hing baktih toengah, takaw loe ka tawn ai; toe laom thung ih takaw dip thoemto hoi pailang thungah situi zetta ni ka tawnh; khenah, thing tanghang hnetto ka khuih, to thing hoiah ka capa kaimah hnik hanah buh ka thongh, buh ka caak hoi pacoengah loe ka duek hoi han boeh, tiah ka poek, tiah a naa.
13 And he said to her Elijah may not you fear go do according to word your only make for me from there a bread cake small at first and you will bring [it] out to me and for yourself and for son your you will prepare at the last.
Elijah mah anih khaeah, Zii hmah, caeh loe na thuih ih lok baktih toengah sah ah; toe kai hanah takaw zetta na sah paeh hmaloe ah loe sin ah; to pacoengah nang mah hoi na capa hanah sah ah.
14 For thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel [the] jar of flour not it will be at an end and [the] jug of oil not it will be lacking until [the] day (gives *Q(k)*) Yahweh rain on [the] surface of the ground.
Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; Angraeng mah prae thungah kho angzosak ai karoek to, laom thungah kaom takaw dip to boeng mak ai ueloe, pailang thung ih situi doeh kang mak ai, tiah a naa.
15 And she went and she did according to [the] word of Elijah and she ate (she and he *Q(K)*) and household her days.
To pongah lamhmai nongpata loe caeh moe, Elijah mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah a sak; to naah Elijah, lamhmai hoi angmah ih imthung takohnawk mah, ni paroeai thung caak khawt buh to a tawnh o.
16 [the] jar of Flour not it was at an end and [the] jug of oil not it was lacking according to [the] word of Yahweh which he spoke by [the] hand of Elijah.
Elijah mah thuih ih Angraeng ih lok baktih toengah, laom thung ih takaw dip to boeng ai moe, pailang thung ih situi doeh kang ai.
17 And it was after the things these he became sick [the] son of the woman [the] mistress of the house and it was sickness his severe very until that not it was left in him breath.
Ni nazetto maw oh pacoengah im tawnkung, nongpata ih capa to ngannat; anih ngannathaih loe nung parai pongah, anghah thai ai.
18 And she said to Elijah what? [is] to me and to you O man of God you have come to me to bring to remembrance iniquity my and to put to death son my.
To nongpata mah Elijah khaeah, Aw Sithaw kami, nang hoi kai loe timaw asaenghaih oh? Ka zaehaih panoeksak moe, ka capa hum han ih maw kai khaeah nang zoh? tiah a naa.
19 And he said to her give to me son your and he took him from bosom her and he took up him to the upper room where he [was] dwelling there and he made lie him on bed his.
Elijah mah, Na capa to na paek ah, tiah a naa. Anih mah nongpata ban ih nawkta to lak moe, a ohhaih im ranui ah caeh haih pacoengah, a iihhaih ahmuen ah angsongsak.
20 And he called out to Yahweh and he said O Yahweh God my ¿ also on the widow whom I [am] staying as a sojourner with her have you done harm by putting to death son her.
To pacoengah Angraeng khaeah, Aw ka Angraeng Sithaw, ka toemhhaih lamhmai nuiah raihaih na phaksak moe, a capa na dueksak maw? tiah a hangh.
21 And he stretched himself over the lad three times and he called out to Yahweh and he said O Yahweh God my let it return please [the] life of the lad this to inward part[s] his.
Nawkta nuiah vai thumto tabok pacoengah, Angraeng khaeah, Aw ka Angraeng Sithaw, hae nawkta hinghaih amlaemsak let ah, tiah a hangh.
22 And he listened Yahweh to [the] voice of Elijah and it returned [the] life of the lad to inward part[s] his and he lived.
Angraeng mah Elijah hanghhaih lok to thaih naah, nawkta hinghaih amlaemsak let pongah, nawkta loe hing let.
23 And he took Elijah the lad and he brought down him from the upper room the house towards and he gave him to mother his and he said Elijah see [is] alive son your.
Elijah mah nawkta to lak pacoengah, angmah ih imthung hoi a ohhaih im ah caeh haih let; amno khaeah paek let pacoengah, Elijah mah khenah, na capa hing let boeh, tiah a naa.
24 And she said the woman to Elijah now this I know that [are] a man of God you and [the] word of Yahweh in mouth your [is] truth.
To naah nongpata mah Elijah khaeah, Nang loe vaihi Sithaw kami ah na oh, na pakha ih Sithaw lok loe loktang ni, tiah ka panoek boeh, tiah a naa.
