1 Kings 15
1 And in year eight-teen of the king Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat he became king Abijam over Judah.

2 Three years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Maacah [the] daughter of Abishalom.

3 And he walked in all [the] sins of father his which he had done before him and not it was heart his complete with Yahweh God his like [the] heart of David ancestor his.
Alitenda dhambi zote baba yake alizotenda kabla yake; moyo wake haukuwa mkamilifu kwa Bwana Mungu wake kama moyo wa Daudi baba yake ulivyokuwa.
4 For for [the] sake of David he gave Yahweh God his to him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up son his after him and by establishing Jerusalem.
Pamoja na hayo, kwa ajili ya Daudi, Bwana Mungu wake akampa taa katika Yerusalemu kwa kumwinua mwana atawale badala yake na kwa kuifanya Yerusalemu kuwa imara.
5 That he had done David the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh and not he had turned aside from all that he had commanded him all [the] days of life his only in [the] matter of Uriah the Hittite.
Kwa kuwa Daudi alifanya yaliyo mema machoni pa Bwana na hakushindwa kushika maagizo yote ya Bwana siku zote za uhai wake, isipokuwa katika habari ya Uria, Mhiti.
6 And war it was between Rehoboam and between Jeroboam all [the] days of life his.
Kulikuwa na vita kati ya Rehoboamu na Yeroboamu wakati wote wa maisha ya Abiya.
7 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Abijam and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah and war it was between Abijam and between Jeroboam.
Kwa habari ya matukio mengine ya utawala wa Abiya na yote aliyofanya, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Yuda? Kulikuwa na vita kati ya Abiya na Yeroboamu.
8 And he lay down Abijam with ancestors his and people buried him in [the] city of David and he became king Asa son his in place of him.
Naye Abiya akalala na baba zake akazikwa katika Mji wa Daudi. Asa mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.
9 And in year twenty of Jeroboam [the] king of Israel he became king Asa [the] king of Judah.
Katika mwaka wa ishirini wa utawala wa Yeroboamu mfalme wa Israeli, Asa akawa mfalme wa Yuda,
10 And forty and one year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Maacah [the] daughter of Abishalom.
naye akatawala katika Yerusalemu miaka arobaini na mmoja. Bibi yake aliitwa Maaka binti Abishalomu.
11 And he did Asa the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh like David ancestor his.
Asa akatenda yaliyo mema machoni mwa Bwana, kama alivyokuwa ametenda Daudi baba yake.
12 And he made to pass away the male cult prostitutes from the land and he removed all the idols which they had made ancestors his.
Akawafukuza mahanithi wa mahali pa kuabudia miungu kutoka nchi na kuondoa sanamu zote ambazo baba zake walikuwa wametengeneza.
13 And also - Maacah mother his and he removed her from queen-mother that she had made an abominable image to Asherah pole and he cut down Asa abominable image her and he burned [it] in [the] wadi of Kidron.

14 And the high places not they were removed only [the] heart of Asa it was complete with Yahweh all days his.

15 And he brought [the] holy things of father his (and [the] holy things *Q(K)*) [the] house of Yahweh silver and gold and utensils.
Akaleta ndani ya Hekalu la Bwana fedha na dhahabu na vile vyombo ambavyo yeye na baba yake walikuwa wameviweka wakfu.
16 And war it was between Asa and between Baasha [the] king of Israel all days their.
Kulikuwa na vita kati ya Asa na Baasha mfalme wa Israeli siku zote za utawala wao.
17 And he came up Baasha [the] king of Israel on Judah and he built Ramah to not [surely] permitting [any] escaping and coming to Asa [the] king of Judah.
Mfalme Baasha wa Israeli akashambulia Yuda na kuweka ngome mji wa Rama ili kumzuia yeyote asitoke wala kuingia nchi ya Mfalme Asa wa Yuda.
18 And he took Asa all the silver and the gold which remained - in [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] treasures of [the] house of (the king *Q(K)*) and he gave them in [the] hand of servants his and he sent them the king Asa to Ben Hadad [the] son of Tabrimmon [the] son of Hezion [the] king of Aram who dwelt in Damascus saying.
Kisha Asa akachukua fedha yote na dhahabu iliyokuwa imeachwa katika hazina za Hekalu la Bwana na za jumba lake mwenyewe la kifalme. Akawakabidhi maafisa wake na kuwatuma kwa Ben-Hadadi mwana wa Tabrimoni, mwana wa Hezioni, mfalme wa Aramu, aliyekuwa akitawala Dameski.
19 A covenant [be] between me and between you between father my and between father your here! I send to you a gift silver and gold come break! covenant your with Baasha [the] king of Israel so he may go up from on me.
“Akasema na pawepo mkataba kati yangu na wewe, kama ulivyokuwepo kati ya baba yangu na baba yako. Tazama, nimekuletea zawadi ya fedha na dhahabu. Sasa vunja mkataba wako na Baasha mfalme wa Israeli ili aniondokee mimi.”
20 And he listened Ben Hadad to the king Asa and he sent [the] commanders of the armies which [belonged] to him on [the] cities of Israel and he struck Ijon and Dan and Abel Beth Maacah and all Kinnereth with all [the] land of Naphtali.
Ben-Hadadi akakubaliana na Mfalme Asa na kutuma majemadari wa majeshi yake dhidi ya miji ya Israeli. Akaishinda miji ya Iyoni, Dani, Abel-Beth-Maaka na Kinerethi yote, pamoja na Naftali.
21 And it was when heard Baasha and he ceased from building Ramah and he remained in Tirzah.
Wakati Baasha aliposikia hili, akaacha kuijenga Rama na akaenda kuishi Tirsa.
22 And the king Asa he made proclamation to all Judah there not [was] an exempt [person] and they carried off [the] stones of Ramah and wood its which he had built Baasha and he built with them the king Asa Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah.
Kisha Mfalme Asa akatoa amri kwa Yuda yote, pasipo kumbagua hata mmoja, kubeba mawe na mbao kutoka Rama, ambazo Baasha alikuwa akitumia huko. Mfalme Asa akazitumia kujengea Geba iliyoko Benyamini na Mispa pia.
23 And [the] rest of all [the] matters of Asa and all might his and all that he did and the cities which he built ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah only to [the] time of old age his he was sick feet his.
Kwa matukio yote ya utawala wa Asa, mafanikio yake yote, yote aliyofanya na miji aliyoijenga, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Yuda? Katika uzee wake, hata hivyo, alipata ugonjwa wa miguu.
24 And he lay down Asa with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David ancestor his and he became king Jehoshaphat son his in place of him.

25 And Nadab [the] son of Jeroboam he became king over Israel in year two of Asa [the] king of Judah and he reigned over Israel two years.
Nadabu mwana wa Yeroboamu akawa mfalme wa Israeli katika mwaka wa pili wa utawala wa Mfalme Asa wa Yuda, naye akatawala Israeli kwa miaka miwili.
26 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he walked in [the] way of father his and in sin his which he caused to sin Israel.
Akafanya maovu machoni pa Bwana, akienenda katika njia za baba yake na katika dhambi yake, ambayo alisababisha Israeli kuifanya.
27 And he conspired on him Baasha [the] son of Ahijah of [the] house of Issachar and he struck down him Baasha at Gibbethon which [belonged] to the Philistines and Nadab and all Israel [were] laying siege on Gibbethon.
Baasha mwana wa Ahiya wa nyumba ya Isakari akafanya shauri baya dhidi yake, naye akamuua huko Gibethoni, mji wa Wafilisti, wakati Nadabu na Israeli yote walipokuwa wameuzingira.
28 And he killed him Baasha in year three of Asa [the] king of Judah and he became king in place of him.
Baasha akamuua Nadabu katika mwaka wa tatu wa utawala wa Asa mfalme wa Yuda, naye Baasha akaingia mahali pake kuwa mfalme.
29 And it was when became king he he struck down all [the] house of Jeroboam not he left any breathing thing of Jeroboam until he had destroyed it according to [the] word of Yahweh which he spoke by [the] hand of servant his Ahijah Shilonite.
Mara tu alipoanza kutawala, aliua jamaa yote ya Yeroboamu. Hakumwachia Yeroboamu yeyote aliyekuwa hai, bali aliwaangamiza wote, kulingana na neno la Bwana lililotolewa kupitia kwa mtumishi wake Ahiya Mshiloni,
30 On [the] sins of Jeroboam which he sinned and which he caused to sin Israel by provocation his which he provoked to anger Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
kwa sababu ya dhambi alizokuwa amezitenda Yeroboamu na kusababisha Israeli kuzitenda, tena kwa sababu alimkasirisha Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli.
31 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Nadab and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
Kwa matukio mengine ya utawala wa Nadabu na yote aliyofanya, je hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Israeli?
32 And war it was between Asa and between Baasha [the] king of Israel all days their.
Kulikuwa na vita kati ya Asa na Baasha mfalme wa Israeli wakati wote wa utawala wao.
33 In year three of Asa [the] king of Judah he became king Baasha [the] son of Ahijah over all Israel in Tirzah twenty and four year[s].
Katika mwaka wa tatu wa utawala wa Asa mfalme wa Yuda, Baasha mwana wa Ahiya akawa mfalme wa Israeli yote huko Tirsa, naye akatawala kwa miaka ishirini na minne.
34 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he walked in [the] way of Jeroboam and in sin his which he caused to sin Israel.
Akatenda maovu machoni pa Bwana, akienenda katika njia za Yeroboamu na dhambi yake, ambayo alikuwa amesababisha Israeli kuitenda.
