1 Kings 11
1 And the king Solomon he loved women foreign many and [the] daughter of Pharaoh Moabite [women] Ammonite [women] Edomite [women] Sidonian [women] Hittite [women].
El rey Salomón amó, además de la hija del Faraón, a muchas mujeres extranjeras, moabitas, ammonitas, idumeas, sidonias y heteas;
2 From the nations which he had said Yahweh to [the] people of Israel not you must go among them and they not they will go among you truly they will turn aside heart your after gods their to them he cleaved Solomon to love [them].
de las naciones de que había dicho Yahvé a los hijos de Israel: “No os lleguéis a ellas, ni ellas se lleguen a vosotros; pues seguramente desviarán vuestro corazón hacia los dioses de ellas.” A tales se unió Salomón con amor.
3 And it belonged to him wives noble ladies seven hundred and concubines three hundred and they turned aside wives his heart his.
Tuvo setecientas mujeres reinas y trescientas concubinas; y sus mujeres eran causa de los extravíos de su corazón.
4 And it was to [the] time of [the] old age of Solomon wives his they turned aside heart his after gods other and not it was heart his complete with Yahweh God his like [the] heart of David father his.
Pues siendo Salomón ya viejo, sus mujeres arrastraron su corazón hacia otros dioses; pues no era su corazón enteramente fiel a Yahvé su Dios, como lo fue el corazón de su padre David.
5 And he walked Solomon after Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians and after Milcom [the] detestable thing of [the] Ammonites.
Salomón dio culto a Astarté, diosa de los sidonios, y a Milcom, abominación de los ammonitas.
6 And he did Solomon the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and not he filled after Yahweh like David father his.
E hizo Salomón lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé, y no siguió por entero en pos de Yahvé como su padre David.
7 Then he built Solomon a high place for Chemosh [the] detestable thing of Moab on the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Jerusalem and for Molech [the] detestable thing of [the] people of Ammon.
En aquel tiempo Salomón erigió en el monte que está frente a Jerusalén un santuario para Camos, abominación de Moab y para Moloc, abominación de los hijos de Ammón.
8 And thus he did for all wives his foreign [who] made smoke and [who] sacrificed to gods their.
Lo mismo hizo para todas sus mujeres de tierra extraña, que quemaban incienso y ofrecían sacrificios a sus dioses.
9 And he was angry Yahweh with Solomon for it had turned aside heart his from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel who had appeared to him two times.
Entonces se irritó Yahvé contra Salomón, puesto que había apartado su corazón de Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, que se le había aparecido dos veces,
10 And he had commanded to him on the matter this to not to walk after gods other and not he observed [that] which he had commanded Yahweh.
y le había mandado particularmente que no se fuese tras otros dioses; mas él no guardó lo que Yahvé le había ordenado.
11 And he said Yahweh to Solomon because that it has been this with you and not you have observed covenant my and statutes my which I commanded to you certainly I will tear away the kingdom from with you and I will give it to servant your.
Dijo, pues, Yahvé a Salomón: “Por cuanto te has portado así y no has guardado mi alianza y mis leyes que Yo te había prescrito, arrancaré el reino de tu mano y lo daré a un siervo tuyo;
12 Only in days your not I will do it for [the] sake of David father your from [the] hand of son your I will tear away it.
pero no lo haré en tus días por amor de tu padre David; sino que lo arrancaré de mano de tu hijo.
13 Only all the kingdom not I will tear away a tribe one I will give to son your for [the] sake of David servant my and for [the] sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.
Ni tampoco le arrancaré el reino entero, sino que daré una tribu a tu hijo, por amor a David, mi siervo, y por amor de Jerusalén que Yo he escogido.”
14 And he raised up Yahweh an adversary to Solomon Hadad the Edomite [was] one of [the] offspring the king he in Edom.
Suscitó Yahvé a Salomón un enemigo: Hadad, el idumeo, que era del linaje real de Edom.
15 And it was when was David Edom when went up Joab [the] commander of the army to bury the [ones] slain and he struck down every male in Edom.
Cuando David estuvo (en guerra) con Edom, y Joab, jefe del ejército, subió para enterrar los muertos y mató a todos los varones de Edom
16 For six months he remained there Joab and all Israel until he had cut off every male in Edom.
—porque seis meses permaneció allí Joab con todo Israel, hasta exterminar a todos los varones de Edom—
17 And he fled Hadad he and people Edomite some of [the] servants of father his with him to go Egypt and Hadad [was] a youth young.
huyó Hadad y con él algunos idumeos de entre los siervos de su padre y se retiró a Egipto, siendo Hadad todavía jovencito.
18 And they arose from Midian and they went Paran and they took men with them from Paran and they went Egypt to Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and he gave to him a house and food he assigned to him and land he gave to him.
Saliendo de Madián pasaron a Farán, y tomando consigo algunos hombres de Farán, llegaron a Egipto, al Faraón, rey de Egipto, el cual le dio casa, le asignó sustento y le dio tierras.
19 And he found Hadad favor in [the] eyes of Pharaoh exceedingly and he gave to him a wife [the] sister of own wife his [the] sister of Tahpenes the queen.
Hadad halló gracia a los ojos del Faraón, de tal manera que le dio por mujer la hermana de su misma mujer, la hermana de la reina Tafnes.
20 And she bore to him [the] sister of Tahpenes Genubath son his and she weaned him Tahpenes in [the] midst of [the] household of Pharaoh and he was Genubath [the] house of Pharaoh in among [the] sons of Pharaoh.
La hermana de Tafnes le dio un hijo, Genubat, al que destetó Tafnes en la casa del Faraón; y habitó Genubat en la casa del Faraón, en medio de los hijos del Faraón.
21 And Hadad he heard in Egypt that he had lain down David with ancestors his and that he had died Joab [the] commander of the army and he said Hadad to Pharaoh let go me so I may go to own land my.
Cuando supo Hadad en Egipto que David se había dormido con sus padres, y que Joab, jefe del ejército, era muerto, dijo al Faraón: “Déjame ir para que vaya a mi tierra.”
22 And he said to him Pharaoh that what? [are] you lacking with me and here you [are] seeking to go to own land your and he said - In-deed really you will let go me.
El Faraón le contestó: “Pues, ¿qué te falta conmigo para que quieras irte a tu tierra?” Replicó él: “Nada me falta, pero de todos modos déjame partir.”
23 And he raised up God to him an adversary Rezon [the] son of Eliada who he had fled from with Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah master his.
Suscitó Dios (a Salomón otro) adversario: Rezón, hijo de Eliadá, que había huido de su señor Hadadéser, rey de Soba.
24 And he gathered with him men and he was [the] leader of a marauding band when killed David them and they went Damascus and they dwelt in it and they reigned in Damascus.
Reuniendo consigo unos hombres vino a ser jefe de una banda, cuando David mató a los (arameos). Llegó a Damasco, donde se estableció, apoderándose del reino de Damasco.
25 And he was an adversary of Israel all [the] days of Solomon and harm which Hadad and he loathed Israel and he reigned over Aram.
Este fue enemigo de Israel todos los días de Salomón, además del mal que hizo Hadad, pues aborrecía a Israel y reinaba sobre la Siria.
26 And Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat an Ephrathite from Zeredah and [the] name of mother his [was] Zeruah a woman a widow a servant of Solomon and he raised a hand on the king.
Levantó la mano contra el rey también Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, efrateo de Seredá, cuya madre era una viuda que se llamaba Seruá. Era este siervo de Salomón.
27 And this [is] the reason why he raised a hand on the king Solomon he built the Millo he closed up [the] breach of [the] city of David father his.
Y he aquí la causa porque se sublevó contra el rey: Salomón estaba edificando el Milló, rellenando la hondonada que había en la ciudad de David, su padre.
28 And the man Jeroboam [was] a mighty [man] of strength and he saw Solomon the young man that [was] doing work he and he appointed him to all [the] forced labor of [the] house of Joseph.
Jeroboam era hombre valiente y capaz y viendo Salomón que este joven era muy activo en la obra, le puso sobre todos los trabajos de la casa de José.
29 And it was at the time that and Jeroboam he had gone out from Jerusalem and he found him Ahijah Shilonite the prophet on the way and he [was] covering himself with a cloak new and [the] two of them to alone them [were] in the open country.
Aconteció por aquel tiempo que saliendo Jeroboam de Jerusalén, le encontró en el camino el profeta Ahías silonita, que estaba envuelto en una capa nueva, y los dos estaban solos en el campo.
30 And he seized Ahijah the cloak new which [was] on him and he tore it two [plus] ten pieces.
Tomando entonces Ahías la capa nueva que tenía encima, la rasgó en doce pedazos,
31 And he said to Jeroboam take for yourself ten pieces for thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to tear the kingdom from [the] hand of Solomon and I will give to you ten the tribes.
y dijo a Jeroboam: “Toma para ti diez pedazos, porque así dice Yahvé, el Dios de Israel: He aquí que voy a arrancar el reino de mano de Salomón, y te daré a ti diez tribus;
32 And the tribe one it will belong to him for [the] sake of - servant my David and for [the] sake of Jerusalem the city which I have chosen it from all [the] tribes of Israel.
una sola tribu quedará para él, a causa de mi siervo David, y a causa de Jerusalén, la ciudad que Yo he escogido entre todas las tribus de Israel;
33 Because - that they have forsaken me and they have bowed down to Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians to Chemosh [the] god of Moab and to Milcom [the] god of [the] people of Ammon and not they have walked in ways my by doing the right in view my and statutes my and judgments my like David father his.
por cuanto me han abandonado, y se han prosternado ante Astarté, diosa de los sidonios, ante Camos, dios de Moab, y ante Milcom, dios de los hijos de Ammón; y no han seguido mis caminos para hacer lo que es recto a mis ojos (ni han observado) mis leyes y mis preceptos como lo hizo David, su padre.
34 And not I will take all the kingdom from hand his for - ruler I will make him all [the] days of life his for [the] sake of David servant my whom I chose him who he observed commandments my and statutes my.
Mas no quitaré de su mano ninguna parte del reino, puesto que le he constituido príncipe todos los días de su vida, por amor de mi siervo David, a quien escogí, porque observó mis leyes y mis mandamientos,
35 And I will take the kingship from [the] hand of son his and I will give it to you [the] ten the tribes.
sino que quitaré el reino de mano de su hijo, y te lo daré a ti, a saber, las diez tribus;
36 And to son his I will give a tribe one so as to belong a lamp to David servant my all the days - before me in Jerusalem the city which I have chosen for myself to put name my there.
y a su hijo le daré una tribu, para que mi siervo David tenga una lámpara todos los días delante de Mí en Jerusalén, la ciudad que he escogido para Mí a fin de poner allí mi Nombre.
37 And you I will take and you will reign over all that it will desire self your and you will be king over Israel.
A ti te tomaré, y tú reinarás sobre todo lo que deseare tu alma, y serás rey sobre Israel.
38 And it will be if you will listen to all that I will command you and you will walk in ways my and you will do the right in view my by observing statutes my and commandments my just as he did David servant my and I will be with you and I will build for you a house enduring just as I built for David and I will give to you Israel.
Si obedecieres todo cuanto Yo te mandare, andando en mis caminos, e hicieres lo que es recto a mis ojos, guardando mis leyes y mis mandamientos, como lo hizo mi siervo David, seré contigo y te edificaré una casa estable, como la edifiqué a David, y te daré Israel.
39 So I may afflicted [the] offspring of David on account of this nevertheless not all the days.
Humillaré a la descendencia de David por esta causa, pero no para siempre.”
40 And he sought Solomon to put to death Jeroboam and he arose Jeroboam and he fled Egypt to Shishak [the] king of Egypt and he was in Egypt until [the] death of Solomon.
Procuraba Salomón dar muerte a Jeroboam, pero Jeroboam se escapó y fue a refugiarse en Egipto, cerca de Sesac, rey de Egipto, y permaneció en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón.
41 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Solomon and all that he did and wisdom his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of Solomon.
Las demás cosas de Salomón, todo lo que hizo y su sabiduría, ¿no está escrito en el libro de los hechos de Salomón?
42 And the days which he reigned Solomon in Jerusalem over all Israel [were] forty year[s].
El tiempo que reinó Salomón en Jerusalén, sobre todo Israel, fue de cuarenta años.
43 And he lay down Solomon with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] city of David father his and he became king Rehoboam son his in place of him.
Y Salomón se durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en la ciudad de David, su padre. En su lugar reinó su hijo Roboam.
