1 Kings 11
1 And the king Solomon he loved women foreign many and [the] daughter of Pharaoh Moabite [women] Ammonite [women] Edomite [women] Sidonian [women] Hittite [women].
Le roi Salomon aima beaucoup de femmes étrangères, outre la fille de Pharaon: des Moabites, des Ammonites, des Edomites, des Sidoniennes, des Héthéennes,
2 From the nations which he had said Yahweh to [the] people of Israel not you must go among them and they not they will go among you truly they will turn aside heart your after gods their to them he cleaved Solomon to love [them].
d’entre les nations dont le Seigneur avait dit aux enfants d’Israël: « Vous n’aurez point de commerce avec elles, et elles n’en auront point avec vous; autrement elles tourneraient vos cœurs du côté de leurs dieux. » Salomon s’attacha à ces nations par amour.
3 And it belonged to him wives noble ladies seven hundred and concubines three hundred and they turned aside wives his heart his.
Il eut sept cents femmes princesses et trois cents concubines; et ses femmes détournèrent son cœur.
4 And it was to [the] time of [the] old age of Solomon wives his they turned aside heart his after gods other and not it was heart his complete with Yahweh God his like [the] heart of David father his.
Au temps de la vieillesse de Salomon, ses femmes inclinèrent son cœur vers d’autres dieux, et son cœur ne fut pas tout entier à Yahweh, son Dieu, comme l’avait été le cœur de David, son père.
5 And he walked Solomon after Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians and after Milcom [the] detestable thing of [the] Ammonites.
Salomon alla après Astarté, déesse des Sidoniens, et après Melchom, l’abomination des Ammonites.
6 And he did Solomon the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and not he filled after Yahweh like David father his.
Et Salomon fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh, et il ne suivit pas pleinement Yahweh, comme avait fait David, son père.
7 Then he built Solomon a high place for Chemosh [the] detestable thing of Moab on the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Jerusalem and for Molech [the] detestable thing of [the] people of Ammon.
Alors Salomon bâtit, sur la montagne qui est en face de Jérusalem, un haut lieu pour Chamos, l’abomination de Moab, et pour Moloch, l’abomination des fils d’Ammon.
8 And thus he did for all wives his foreign [who] made smoke and [who] sacrificed to gods their.
Il fit de même pour toutes ses femmes étrangères, qui brûlaient des parfums et offraient des sacrifices à leurs dieux.
9 And he was angry Yahweh with Solomon for it had turned aside heart his from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel who had appeared to him two times.
Yahweh fut irrité contre Salomon, parce qu’il avait détourné son cœur de Yahweh, Dieu d’Israël, qui lui était apparu deux fois,
10 And he had commanded to him on the matter this to not to walk after gods other and not he observed [that] which he had commanded Yahweh.
et lui avait, à ce sujet défendu d’aller après d’autres dieux; mais Salomon n’observa pas ce que Yahweh avait ordonné.
11 And he said Yahweh to Solomon because that it has been this with you and not you have observed covenant my and statutes my which I commanded to you certainly I will tear away the kingdom from with you and I will give it to servant your.
Et Yahweh dit à Salomon: « Parce que tu t’es conduit de la sorte, et que tu n’as pas observé mon alliance et mes lois que je t’avais prescrites, j’arracherai sûrement de ta main le royaume, et je le donnerai à ton serviteur.
12 Only in days your not I will do it for [the] sake of David father your from [the] hand of son your I will tear away it.
Seulement je ne le ferai point pendant ta vie, à cause de David, ton père; c’est de la main de ton fils que je l’arracherai.
13 Only all the kingdom not I will tear away a tribe one I will give to son your for [the] sake of David servant my and for [the] sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.
Et encore n’arracherai-je pas tout le royaume: je laisserai une tribu à ton fils, à cause de David, mon serviteur, et à cause de Jérusalem, que j’ai choisie. »
14 And he raised up Yahweh an adversary to Solomon Hadad the Edomite [was] one of [the] offspring the king he in Edom.
Yahweh suscita un ennemi à Salomon: Adad, l’Edomite, de la race royale d’Edom.
15 And it was when was David Edom when went up Joab [the] commander of the army to bury the [ones] slain and he struck down every male in Edom.
Dans le temps où David était en guerre avec Edom, où Joab, chef de l’armée, étant monté pour enterrer les morts, tua tous les mâles qui étaient en Edom,
16 For six months he remained there Joab and all Israel until he had cut off every male in Edom.
— Joab y resta six mois avec tout Israël, jusqu’à ce qu’il eût exterminé tous les mâles en Edom; —
17 And he fled Hadad he and people Edomite some of [the] servants of father his with him to go Egypt and Hadad [was] a youth young.
Adad prit la fuite avec des Edomites, d’entre les serviteurs de son père, pour se rendre en Égypte; Adad était encore un jeune garçon.
18 And they arose from Midian and they went Paran and they took men with them from Paran and they went Egypt to Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and he gave to him a house and food he assigned to him and land he gave to him.
Etant partis de Madian, ils allèrent à Pharan, prirent avec eux des hommes de Pharan, et arrivèrent en Égypte auprès de Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, qui donna une maison à Adad, pourvut à sa subsistance et lui accorda des terres.
19 And he found Hadad favor in [the] eyes of Pharaoh exceedingly and he gave to him a wife [the] sister of own wife his [the] sister of Tahpenes the queen.
Adad trouva grâce aux yeux de Pharaon, jusque là que Pharaon lui donna pour femme la sœur de sa femme, la sœur de la reine Taphnès.
20 And she bore to him [the] sister of Tahpenes Genubath son his and she weaned him Tahpenes in [the] midst of [the] household of Pharaoh and he was Genubath [the] house of Pharaoh in among [the] sons of Pharaoh.
La sœur de Taphnès lui enfanta un fils, Genubath, que Taphnès sevra dans la maison de Pharaon, et Genubath habita dans la maison de Pharaon au milieu des enfants de Pharaon.
21 And Hadad he heard in Egypt that he had lain down David with ancestors his and that he had died Joab [the] commander of the army and he said Hadad to Pharaoh let go me so I may go to own land my.
Adad ayant appris en Égypte que David était couché avec ses pères, et que Joab, chef de l’armée était mort, il dit à Pharaon: « Laisse-moi aller dans mon pays. »
22 And he said to him Pharaoh that what? [are] you lacking with me and here you [are] seeking to go to own land your and he said - In-deed really you will let go me.
Et Pharaon lui dit: « Que te manque-t-il auprès de moi, pour que tu désires aller dans ton pays? » Il répondit: « Rien, mais laisse-moi partir. »
23 And he raised up God to him an adversary Rezon [the] son of Eliada who he had fled from with Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah master his.
Dieu suscita un autre ennemi à Salomon: Razon, fils d’Eliada, qui s’était enfui de chez son maître Hadarézer, roi de Soba.
24 And he gathered with him men and he was [the] leader of a marauding band when killed David them and they went Damascus and they dwelt in it and they reigned in Damascus.
Il avait rassemblé des gens auprès de lui, et il était chef d’une bande, lorsque David massacra les troupes de son maître. Ils allèrent à Damas, et s’y établirent; et ils régnèrent à Damas.
25 And he was an adversary of Israel all [the] days of Solomon and harm which Hadad and he loathed Israel and he reigned over Aram.
Il fut un ennemi d’Israël pendant toute la vie de Salomon, outre le mal que lui faisait Adad, et il avait Israël en aversion. Il régna sur la Syrie.
26 And Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat an Ephrathite from Zeredah and [the] name of mother his [was] Zeruah a woman a widow a servant of Solomon and he raised a hand on the king.
Jéroboam leva aussi la main contre le roi; il était fils de Nabat, Ephratéen de Saréda, il avait pour mère une veuve nommée Sarva, et il était serviteur de Salomon.
27 And this [is] the reason why he raised a hand on the king Solomon he built the Millo he closed up [the] breach of [the] city of David father his.
Voici la cause de sa rébellion contre le roi. Salomon bâtissait Mello, et fermait la brèche de la cité de David, son père.
28 And the man Jeroboam [was] a mighty [man] of strength and he saw Solomon the young man that [was] doing work he and he appointed him to all [the] forced labor of [the] house of Joseph.
Ce Jéroboam était fort et vaillant; Salomon, ayant vu comment ce jeune homme était actif au travail, l’institua surveillant de tous les gens de corvée de la maison de Joseph.
29 And it was at the time that and Jeroboam he had gone out from Jerusalem and he found him Ahijah Shilonite the prophet on the way and he [was] covering himself with a cloak new and [the] two of them to alone them [were] in the open country.
Dans ce temps-là, Jéroboam, étant sorti de Jérusalem, fut rencontré en chemin par le prophète Ahias de Silo, revêtu d’un manteau neuf; ils étaient tous deux seuls dans les champs.
30 And he seized Ahijah the cloak new which [was] on him and he tore it two [plus] ten pieces.
Ahias, saisissant le manteau neuf qu’ il avait sur lui, le déchira en douze morceaux,
31 And he said to Jeroboam take for yourself ten pieces for thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to tear the kingdom from [the] hand of Solomon and I will give to you ten the tribes.
et il dit à Jéroboam: « Prends pour toi dix morceaux. Car ainsi parle Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël: Voici que je vais arracher le royaume de la main de Salomon, et je te donnerai dix tribus.
32 And the tribe one it will belong to him for [the] sake of - servant my David and for [the] sake of Jerusalem the city which I have chosen it from all [the] tribes of Israel.
Une seule tribu lui restera, à cause de mon serviteur David et à cause de Jérusalem, la ville que j’ai choisie dans toutes les tribus d’Israël:
33 Because - that they have forsaken me and they have bowed down to Astarte [the] god of [the] Sidonians to Chemosh [the] god of Moab and to Milcom [the] god of [the] people of Ammon and not they have walked in ways my by doing the right in view my and statutes my and judgments my like David father his.
et cela, parce qu’ils m’ont abandonné et se sont prosternés devant Astarté, déesse des Sidoniens, devant Chamos, dieu de Moab, et devant Melchom, dieu des fils d’Ammon, et parce qu’ils n’ont pas marché dans mes voies pour faire ce qui est droit à mes yeux et pour observer mes lois et mes ordonnances, comme l’a fait David, père de Salomon.
34 And not I will take all the kingdom from hand his for - ruler I will make him all [the] days of life his for [the] sake of David servant my whom I chose him who he observed commandments my and statutes my.
Néanmoins je n’ôterai de sa main aucune partie du royaume, mais je le maintiendrai prince tout le temps de sa vie, à cause de David, mon serviteur, que j’ai choisi et qui a observé mes commandements et mes lois.
35 And I will take the kingship from [the] hand of son his and I will give it to you [the] ten the tribes.
C’est de la main de son fils que j’ôterai le royaume, et je t’en donnerai dix tribus.
36 And to son his I will give a tribe one so as to belong a lamp to David servant my all the days - before me in Jerusalem the city which I have chosen for myself to put name my there.
Je donnerai une tribu à son fils, afin que David, mon serviteur, ait toujours une lampe devant moi à Jérusalem, la ville que j’ai choisie pour y mettre mon nom.
37 And you I will take and you will reign over all that it will desire self your and you will be king over Israel.
Je te prendrai, et tu régneras sur tout ce que ton âme désire, et tu seras roi sur Israël.
38 And it will be if you will listen to all that I will command you and you will walk in ways my and you will do the right in view my by observing statutes my and commandments my just as he did David servant my and I will be with you and I will build for you a house enduring just as I built for David and I will give to you Israel.
Si tu obéis à tout ce que je te commanderai, si tu marches dans mes voies et si tu fais ce qui est droit à mes yeux, en observant mes lois et mes commandements, comme l’a fait David, mon serviteur, je serai avec toi, je te bâtirai une maison stable, comme j’en ai bâti une à David, et je te donnerai Israël.
39 So I may afflicted [the] offspring of David on account of this nevertheless not all the days.
Car j’humilierai la postérité de David à cause de son infidélité, mais non pour toujours. »
40 And he sought Solomon to put to death Jeroboam and he arose Jeroboam and he fled Egypt to Shishak [the] king of Egypt and he was in Egypt until [the] death of Solomon.
Salomon chercha à faire mourir Jéroboam; mais Jéroboam se leva et s’enfuit en Égypte, auprès de Sésac, roi d’Égypte; il fut en Égypte jusqu’à la mort de Salomon.
41 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Solomon and all that he did and wisdom his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of Solomon.
Le reste des actions de Salomon, tout ce qu’il a fait, et sa sagesse, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le livre des actes de Salomon?
42 And the days which he reigned Solomon in Jerusalem over all Israel [were] forty year[s].
Le temps que Salomon régna à Jérusalem, sur tout Israël, fut de quarante ans.
43 And he lay down Solomon with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] city of David father his and he became king Rehoboam son his in place of him.
