1 Kings 10
1 And [the] queen of Sheba [was] hearing [the] report of Solomon to [the] name of Yahweh and she came to put to [the] test him by difficult matters.
Et la reine de Saba ouït le nom de Salomon et le nom du Seigneur, et elle vint pour éprouver le roi en lui proposant des énigmes.
2 And she came Jerusalem towards with a retinue numerous very camels carrying spices and gold much very and stone[s] precious and she came to Solomon and she spoke to him all that it was with heart her.
Elle entra dans Jérusalem avec une suite nombreuse, et des chameaux chargés de parfums et d'une immense quantité d'or et de pierres précieuses; elle fut introduite auprès de Salomon, et elle lui dit toutes les choses qu'il y avait en son cœur.
3 And he told to her Solomon all words her not it was anything hidden from the king which not he told to her.
Salomon l'éclaira sur toutes ses questions; il n'y eut pas une de ses questions à laquelle le roi négligeât de répondre.
4 And she saw [the] queen of Sheba all [the] wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built.
Et la reine de Saba vit toute la sagesse de Salomon, le palais qu'il avait bâti,
5 And [the] food of table his and [the] seating of servants his and [the] standing of (servants his *Q(K)*) and clothes their and cup-bearers his and burnt offering[s] his which he offered up [the] house of Yahweh and not it was in her still breath.
Les mets de sa table, les logements de ses serviteurs, la tenue de ses officiers, ses vêtements, ses échansons, et les holocaustes qu'il offrait dans le temple du Seigneur, et elle en fut hors d'elle-même.
6 And she said to the king truth it was the word which I heard in own land my on words your and on wisdom your.
Et elle dit au roi Salomon: C'était la vérité qu'on m'avait dite en mon pays,
7 And not I believed the words until that I came and they saw eyes my and here! not it was told to me the half you have added wisdom and good to the report which I heard.
Au sujet de ton éloquence et de ta sagesse; j'avais refusé de croire ce qu'on m'en avait rapporté, jusqu'à ce que je fusse venue moi-même et que j'eusse vu de mes yeux; et je reconnais qu'on ne m'avait point appris la moitié de ce qui réellement existe. Tu as beaucoup ajouté aux merveilles dont j'avais ouï parler chez moi.
8 How blessed! [are] people your how blessed! [are] servants your these who stand before you continually who hear wisdom your.
Heureuses tes femmes, heureux tes serviteurs qui sont toujours auprès de toi, et qui recueillent toute ta sagesse.
9 May he be Yahweh God your blessed who he delights in you to put you on [the] throne of Israel because loves Yahweh Israel for ever and he has appointed you to king to do justice and righteousness.
Béni soit le Seigneur ton Dieu qui s'est complu en toi, pour te donner le trône d'Israël, parce que le Seigneur Dieu aime ce peuple, et qu'il l'affermira pour toujours. Le Seigneur t'a fait leur roi pour que les jugements soient selon la justice et selon l'équité.
10 And she gave to the king one hundred and twenty - talent[s] of gold and spices much very and stone[s] precious not it has come like the spice that again to abundance which she gave [the] queen of Sheba to the king Solomon.
Elle donna à Salomon cent vingt talents d'or, et une immense quantité d'épices et de pierres précieuses. Il n'était jamais arrivé à Jérusalem autant d'épices que la reine de Saba en donna au roi Salomon.
11 And also [the] ship[s] of Hiram which it carried gold from Ophir it brought from Ophir wood of almug much very and stone[s] precious.
Et le vaisseau d'Hiram qui avait transporté l'or d'Ophir, apporta une énorme quantité de bois rares et de pierres précieuses.
12 And he made the king [the] wood of the almug support[s] for [the] house of Yahweh and for [the] house of the king and harps and lyres for the singers not it has come thus wood of almug and not it has been seen until the day this.
Et le roi fit avec les bois des balustrades pour le temple et le palais; puis, des lyres et des harpes pour les chanteurs. Il n'était jamais arrivé de tels bois rares en la terre promise, et l'on n'en avait vu nulle part avant ce jour-là.
13 And the king Solomon he gave to [the] queen of Sheba all desire her which she asked besides [that] which he had given to her according to [the] hand of the king Solomon and she turned and she went to own land her she and servants her.
Et le roi Salomon donna à la reine de Saba tout ce qu'elle voulut, tout ce qu'elle lui demanda, outre ce qu'il lui donna spontanément. Et elle s'en alla, et elle retourna en sa contrée avec tous ses serviteurs.
14 And it was [the] weight of the gold which it came to Solomon in a year one six hundred sixty and six talent[s] of gold.
Et le poids de l'or, qui arriva au roi Salomon en une année, fut de six cent soixante-six talents,
15 Apart from [the] men of the merchants and [the] merchandise of the traders and all [the] kings of the Arab[s] and [the] governors of the land.
Sans compter les tributs de ceux qui lui étaient soumis, marchands, rois de la rive gauche de l'Euphrate, ou princes de la terre promise.
16 And he made the king Solomon two hundred body shield[s] gold beaten six hundred gold he put up on the body shield one.
Et Salomon fit faire trois cents javelines d'or battu, chacune de trois cents sicles d'or,
17 And three hundred shields gold beaten three minas gold he put up on the shield one and he put them the king [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon.
Et trois cents armures d'or battu, de trois mines d'or chacune; et il les consacra dans le palais de bois du Liban.
18 And he made the king a throne of ivory great and he overlaid it gold refined.
Il fit faire aussi un grand trône d'ivoire, qu'il revêtit de lames d'or très fin.
19 Six steps [belonged] to the throne and a top round [belonged] to the throne behind it and hands from this and from this [were] to [the] place of the sitting and two lions [were] standing beside the hands.
On montait sur le trône par six degrés; il y avait des faces de taureaux derrière le trône, deux bras des deux côtés du siège et deux lions auprès des bras.
20 And two [plus] ten lions [were] standing there on [the] six the steps from this and from this not it had been made thus for all kingdoms.
Il y avait douze lions sur les degrés, six à droite, six à gauche; on ne voyait rien de semblable dans aucun royaume.
21 And all [the] vessels of [the] drink of the king Solomon [were] gold and all [the] utensils of [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon [were] gold pure gold there not [was] silver not [it was] reckoned in [the] days of Solomon to anything.
Et tous les vases dont se servait Salomon étaient d'or, ses baignoires étaient d'or; tous les meubles du palais de bois du Liban étaient d'or et de pièces rapportées. On n'y voyait point d'argent; car ce métal était compté pour rien du temps de Salomon;
22 For [the] ship[s] of Tarshish [belonged] to the king on the sea with [the] ship[s] of Hiram one [time] to three years it came - [the] ship[s] of Tarshish carrying gold and silver ivori and monkeys and apes.
Et cela parce que Salomon avait un vaisseau de Tharsis à la mer, avec la flotte d'Hiram; tous les trois ans un vaisseau venait de Tharsis chargé d'or, d'argent et de pierres rares et travaillées.
23 And he became great the king Solomon more than all [the] kings of the earth to wealth and to wisdom.
Et Salomon fut grand en science et en richesses par-dessus tous les rois de la terre.
24 And all the earth [were] seeking [the] face of Solomon to hear wisdom his which he had put God in heart his.
Tous les rois de la terre demandèrent à le voir, et à entendre la sagesse que Dieu avait mise en son cœur.
25 And they [were] bringing each gift his articles of silver and articles of gold and garments and weaponry and spices horses and mules [the] matter of a year in a year.
Et, chaque année, ils lui apportaient tous des présents des vases d'or, des vêtements, de la myrrhe, des épices, des chevaux et des mules.
26 And he gathered Solomon chariotry and horsemen and it belonged to him one thousand and four hundred chariot[s] and two [plus] ten thousand horsemen and he led them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
Salomon avait, pour ses chars, quatre mille cavales, et dix mille chevaux pour ses cavaliers; il les avait mis dans les villes des chars ou auprès de lui à Jérusalem, et il était chef de tous les rois depuis l'Euphrate jusqu'au territoire des Philistins et aux frontières de l'Égypte.
27 And he made the king silver in Jerusalem like stone and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
Et le roi rendit à Jérusalem l'or et l'argent aussi communs que les pierres; il y amena autant de cèdres qu'il y a de mûriers dans les champs.
28 And [the] export of the horses which [belonged] to Solomon [was] from Egypt and from Que [the] traders of the king they took [them] from Que for a price.
Salomon tirait des chevaux de l'Égypte; il y avait à Thécoé un marché royal, et on les allait prendre à Thécoé à prix d'argent.
29 And it came up and it came out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred silver and a horse for fifty and one hundred and thus to all [the] kings of the Hittites and to [the] kings of Aram by hand their they brought [them] out.
L'attelage d'un char, venant d'Égypte, coûtait cent sicles d'argent et cinquante sicles par cheval. Il en était de même pour tous les rois des Hettéens et de la Syrie; ces achats venaient par mer.
