1 Kings 10
1 And [the] queen of Sheba [was] hearing [the] report of Solomon to [the] name of Yahweh and she came to put to [the] test him by difficult matters.
La reine de Saba, ayant appris la renommée de Salomon, au nom de Yahweh, vint pour l’éprouver par des énigmes.
2 And she came Jerusalem towards with a retinue numerous very camels carrying spices and gold much very and stone[s] precious and she came to Solomon and she spoke to him all that it was with heart her.
Elle vint à Jérusalem avec un équipage très considérable, des chameaux portant des aromates, de l’or en très grande quantité, et des pierres précieuses. Elle se rendit auprès de Salomon, et elle lui dit tout ce qu’elle avait dans le cœur.
3 And he told to her Solomon all words her not it was anything hidden from the king which not he told to her.
Salomon répondit à toutes ses questions: il n’y eut rien qui restât caché au roi, sans qu’il pût répondre.
4 And she saw [the] queen of Sheba all [the] wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built.
Quand la reine de Saba eut vu toute la sagesse de Salomon, et la maison qu’il avait bâtie,
5 And [the] food of table his and [the] seating of servants his and [the] standing of (servants his *Q(K)*) and clothes their and cup-bearers his and burnt offering[s] his which he offered up [the] house of Yahweh and not it was in her still breath.
et les mets de sa table, et les appartements de ses serviteurs, et les chambres et les vêtements de ses domestiques, ses échansons, et l’escalier par où il montait dans la maison de Yahweh, elle fut hors d’elle-même,
6 And she said to the king truth it was the word which I heard in own land my on words your and on wisdom your.
et elle dit au roi: « C’était donc vrai ce que j’ai appris dans mon pays de ce qui te concerne et de ta sagesse!
7 And not I believed the words until that I came and they saw eyes my and here! not it was told to me the half you have added wisdom and good to the report which I heard.
Je n’en croyais pas le récit avant d’être venue et d’avoir vu de mes yeux, et voici qu’on ne m’en avait pas dit la moitié! Tu surpasses en sagesse et en magnificence ce que la renommée m’avait fait connaître.
8 How blessed! [are] people your how blessed! [are] servants your these who stand before you continually who hear wisdom your.
Heureux tes gens, heureux tes serviteurs, qui sont continuellement devant toi, qui entendent ta sagesse!
9 May he be Yahweh God your blessed who he delights in you to put you on [the] throne of Israel because loves Yahweh Israel for ever and he has appointed you to king to do justice and righteousness.
Béni soit Yahweh, ton Dieu, qui s’est complu en toi et t’a placé sur le trône d’Israël! C’est parce que Yahweh aime à jamais Israël, qu’il t’a établi roi pour que tu fasses droit et justice. »
10 And she gave to the king one hundred and twenty - talent[s] of gold and spices much very and stone[s] precious not it has come like the spice that again to abundance which she gave [the] queen of Sheba to the king Solomon.
Elle donna au roi cent vingt talents d’or, une grande quantité d’aromates et des pierres précieuses. Il ne vint plus jamais autant d’aromates que la reine de Saba en donna au roi Salomon.
11 And also [the] ship[s] of Hiram which it carried gold from Ophir it brought from Ophir wood of almug much very and stone[s] precious.
Les vaisseaux de Hiram, qui apportaient de l’or d’Ophir, amenèrent aussi d’Ophir une très grande quantité de bois de santal et des pierres précieuses.
12 And he made the king [the] wood of the almug support[s] for [the] house of Yahweh and for [the] house of the king and harps and lyres for the singers not it has come thus wood of almug and not it has been seen until the day this.
Le roi fit avec le bois de santal des balustrades pour la maison de Yahweh et pour la maison du roi, et des harpes et des lyres pour les chantres. Il ne vint plus de ce bois de santal, et on n’en a plus vu jusqu’à ce jour.
13 And the king Solomon he gave to [the] queen of Sheba all desire her which she asked besides [that] which he had given to her according to [the] hand of the king Solomon and she turned and she went to own land her she and servants her.
Le roi Salomon donna à la reine de Saba tout ce qu’elle désira, ce qu’elle demanda, sans parler des présents, en rapport avec la puissance d’un roi tel que Salomon. Puis elle s’en retourna et alla dans son pays, elle et ses serviteurs.
14 And it was [the] weight of the gold which it came to Solomon in a year one six hundred sixty and six talent[s] of gold.
Le poids de l’or qui arrivait à Salomon en une année était de six cent soixante-six talents d’or,
15 Apart from [the] men of the merchants and [the] merchandise of the traders and all [the] kings of the Arab[s] and [the] governors of the land.
outre ce qu’il recevait des marchands ambulants et du trafic des négociants, de tous les rois d’Arabie et des gouverneurs du pays.
16 And he made the king Solomon two hundred body shield[s] gold beaten six hundred gold he put up on the body shield one.
Le roi Salomon fit deux cents grands boucliers d’or battu, employant six cents sicles d’or pour chaque bouclier,
17 And three hundred shields gold beaten three minas gold he put up on the shield one and he put them the king [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon.
et trois cents petits boucliers d’or battu, employant trois mines d’or pour chaque bouclier; et le roi les mit dans la maison de la forêt du Liban.
18 And he made the king a throne of ivory great and he overlaid it gold refined.
Le roi fit un grand trône d’ivoire et le revêtit d’or pur.
19 Six steps [belonged] to the throne and a top round [belonged] to the throne behind it and hands from this and from this [were] to [the] place of the sitting and two lions [were] standing beside the hands.
Ce trône avait six degrés, et la partie supérieure du trône était arrondie par derrière; il y avait des bras de chaque côté du siège; deux lions se tenaient près des bras,
20 And two [plus] ten lions [were] standing there on [the] six the steps from this and from this not it had been made thus for all kingdoms.
et douze lions se tenaient là, sur les six degrés, six de chaque côté. Il ne s’est rien fait de pareil dans aucun royaume.
21 And all [the] vessels of [the] drink of the king Solomon [were] gold and all [the] utensils of [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon [were] gold pure gold there not [was] silver not [it was] reckoned in [the] days of Solomon to anything.
Tous les vases à boire du roi Salomon étaient d’or, et toute la vaisselle de la maison de la forêt du Liban était d’or fin. Rien n’était d’argent; on n’en faisait nul cas du temps de Salomon.
22 For [the] ship[s] of Tarshish [belonged] to the king on the sea with [the] ship[s] of Hiram one [time] to three years it came - [the] ship[s] of Tarshish carrying gold and silver ivori and monkeys and apes.
Car le roi avait en mer des vaisseaux de Tharsis avec les vaisseaux de Hiram; une fois tous les trois ans, les vaisseaux de Tharsis arrivaient, apportant de l’or et de l’argent, de l’ivoire, des singes et des paons.
23 And he became great the king Solomon more than all [the] kings of the earth to wealth and to wisdom.
Le roi Salomon fut plus grand que tous les rois de la terre par les richesses et par la sagesse.
24 And all the earth [were] seeking [the] face of Solomon to hear wisdom his which he had put God in heart his.
Tout le monde cherchait à voir Salomon, pour entendre la sagesse que Dieu avait mise dans son cœur.
25 And they [were] bringing each gift his articles of silver and articles of gold and garments and weaponry and spices horses and mules [the] matter of a year in a year.
Et chacun apportait son présent, des objets d’argent et des objets d’or, des vêtements, des armes, des aromates, des chevaux et des mulets, chaque année.
26 And he gathered Solomon chariotry and horsemen and it belonged to him one thousand and four hundred chariot[s] and two [plus] ten thousand horsemen and he led them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
Salomon rassembla des chars et de la cavalerie; il avait quatorze cents chars et douze mille cavaliers, qu’il plaça dans les villes où étaient déposés ses chars, et près du roi à Jérusalem.
27 And he made the king silver in Jerusalem like stone and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
Le roi fit que l’argent était à Jérusalem aussi commun que les pierres, et il fit que les cèdres étaient aussi nombreux que les sycomores qui croissent dans la plaine.
28 And [the] export of the horses which [belonged] to Solomon [was] from Egypt and from Que [the] traders of the king they took [them] from Que for a price.
C’était de l’Égypte que provenaient les chevaux de Salomon; une caravane de marchands du roi les allait prendre par troupes à un prix convenu:
29 And it came up and it came out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred silver and a horse for fifty and one hundred and thus to all [the] kings of the Hittites and to [the] kings of Aram by hand their they brought [them] out.
un char montait et sortait d’Égypte pour six cents sicles d’argent, et un cheval pour cent cinquante sicles. Ils en faisaient aussi sortir de la même manière, par eux-mêmes, pour tous les rois des Héthéens et pour les rois de Syrie.
