< 1 John 2 >

1 Little children of mine, these things I am writing to you so that not you may sin; And if anyone shall sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] Righteous [One],
ⲁ̅ⲛⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲗⲏⲧⲟⲛ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ.
2 And He himself [the] propitiation is for the sins of us; not for those of ourselves and only but also for all the world.
ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲡⲥⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲁ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ.
3 And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if the commandments of Him we shall keep.
ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛϥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲛϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉϥⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ.
4 The [one] saying (that *no*) I have known Him and the commandments of Him not keeping, a liar he is, and in him the truth not is;
ⲇ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉϥⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ.
5 Who[ever] however maybe may keep His word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that in Him we are.
ⲉ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲗⲏⲑⲱⲥ ϯ ⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲁⲥϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ.
6 The [one] claiming in Him to abide ought even as that [one] walked also He himself in the same way to walk.
ⲋ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⳿ⲥⲉⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫⲏ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ.
7 (Beloved, *N(K)O*) not a commandment new I am writing to you but a commandment old which you have had from [the] beginning; The commandment old is the word that you have heard (from beginning. *K*)
ⲍ̅ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲛⲣⲁϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲙⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲡⲁⲥ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲏ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲥ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ϯⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲡⲁⲥ ⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲑⲙⲉϥ.
8 Again a commandment new I am writing to you which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the light true already shines.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲙⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲛⲁⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲙⲏⲓ ϩⲏⲇⲏ ⳿ϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ.
9 The [one] claiming in the light to be and the brother of him hating in the darkness is until now.
ⲑ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲙⲟⲥϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲁϥ⳿ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲭⲁⲕⲓ ϣⲁ ϯⲛⲟⲩ.
10 The [one] loving the brother of him in the light abides and cause for stumbling in him not there is.
ⲓ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉⲣⲁⲅⲁⲡⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ ϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ.
11 The [one] however hating the brother of him in the darkness is and in the darkness walks and not does he know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded the eyes of him.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲙⲟⲥϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲁϥϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ ⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϥⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲑⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁ ⲡⲓⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲑⲱⲙ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ.
12 I am writing to you, little children, because have been forgiven your sins for the sake of the name of Him.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲭⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ.
13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil [one]. (I have written *N(k)O*) to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲓⲟϯ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗϣ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲣⲟ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ.
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from [the] beginning. I have written to you, young men, because strong you are and the word of God in you abides and you have overcome the evil [one].
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲓ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲓ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲓⲟϯ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ⲁⲓ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗϣ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲟⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲣⲟ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲥ.
15 Not do love the world nor the [things] in the world. If anyone shall love the world, not is the love of the Father in him;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲛ.
16 because all that [is] in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vaunting of life, not is from the Father but from the world is.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϯ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϩⲓ⳿ⲡϩⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲃⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ.
17 And the world is passing away and the desire of it; the [one] however doing the will of God abides to the age. (aiōn g165)
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⳿ϥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōn g165)
18 Little children, [the] last hour it is, and even as you have heard that (*k*) antichrist is coming, even now antichrists many have arisen whereby we know that [the] last hour it is.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲧϧⲁ⳿ⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲛⲧⲓ ⳿ⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲁⲛⲧⲓ ⳿ⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲧϧⲁⲉ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ.
19 From among us they went out but not they were of us; if for of us they were being they had remained then would with us; But [it is] so that it may be made manifest that not they are all of us.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏ ⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
20 And you yourselves [the] anointing have from the Holy [One] and you know (all [you]. *N(K)O*)
ⲕ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲟⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲱϩⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
21 Not I have written to you because not you know the truth but because you know it and because any lie of the truth not is.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲉⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲁⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲏ ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ.
22 who is the liar only except the [one] denying that Jesus not is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the [one] denying the Father and the Son.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲁⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⳿ⲉⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲱⲗ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲛⲧⲓ⳿ⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲱⲗ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ϥϫⲱⲗ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲉϣⲏⲣⲓ.
23 Everyone who is denying the Son neither the Father has he; The [one] confessing the Son also the Father has.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϫⲱⲗ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲓⲕⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁⲛ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲓⲕⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ.
24 You yourselves (therefore *K*) what you have heard from [the] beginning in you should abide. If in you shall abide what from [the] beginning you have heard, also you yourselves in the Son and in the Father will abide.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲑⲙⲉϥ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲑⲙⲉϥ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϩⲏ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲫⲓⲱⲧ.
25 And this is the promise that He himself promised us: life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱϣ ⲫⲏ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ⳿ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things I have written to you concerning those leading astray you.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲓ⳿ⲥϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ.
27 And you yourselves, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you and not need you have that anyone may teach you; But just as the (same *N(k)O*) anointing teaches you concerning all things and true is and not is a lie and even as it has taught you, (you abide *N(k)O*) in Him.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲑⲱϩⲥ ⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ ϭⲓⲧϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ϥϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣ⳿ⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲓⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲣⲱ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ.
28 And now, little children, do abide in Him, so that (if *N(K)O*) He shall appear (we may have *N(k)O*) boldness and not may be ashamed before Him at the coming of Him.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϭ ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϭⲓϣⲓⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲡⲁⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ.
29 If you know that righteous He is, you know that (also *no*) everyone who is practicing the righteousness of Him has been begotten.
