1 Corinthians 8
1 Concerning now the idol-sacrifices, we know indeed all knowledge we have. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
A o rzeczach, które bałwanom ofiarowane bywają, wiemy, iż wszyscy umiejętność mamy. Umiejętność nadyma, ale miłość buduje.
2 If (now *k*) anyone thinks (to have known *N(k)O*) anything, (not yet *N(k)O*) (no [thing] *k*) (he knew *N(k)O*) even as it is necessary to know;
A jeźli kto mniema, żeby co umiał, jeszcze nic nie umie, tak jakoby miał umieć;
3 If however anyone loves God, he has known by Him.
Lecz jeźli kto miłuje Boga, ten jest wyuczony od niego.
4 Concerning the eating therefore of the idol-sacrifices we know that no [thing] an idol [is] in [the] world and that [there is] no God (other *k*) only except one.
A przetoż o pokarmach, które bywają bałwanom ofiarowane, wiemy, iż bałwan na świecie nic nie jest, a iż nie masz żadnego inszego Boga, tylko jeden.
5 Even truly if indeed if indeed there are [those] named gods whether in heaven or on (*k*) earth, as there are gods many and lords many;
Bo choć są, którzy bogami nazywani bywają i na niebie, i na ziemi: (jakoż jest wiele bogów i wiele panów.)
6 yet to us [there is] one God the Father of whom [are] the [things] all and we ourselves for Him, and one Lord Jesus Christ through whom [are] the [things] all and we ourselves through Him.
Ale my mamy jednego Boga Ojca, z którego wszystko, a my w nim; i jednego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa, przez którego wszystko, a my przezeń.
7 But not in all [is] this knowledge; Some now (by custom *N(K)O*) until now of the idol as of an idol-sacrifice eat, and the conscience of them weak being it is defiled.
Ale nie we wszystkich jest ta umiejętność; albowiem niektórzy sumienie mając dla bałwana aż dotąd, jedzą jako rzecz bałwanom ofiarowaną, a sumienie ich będąc mdłe, pokalane bywa.
8 Food however us not (will commend *N(k)O*) to God; neither (for *ko*) if not we shall eat [still] do we come short [then] nor if we shall eat (have we an advantage. *NK(o)*)
Aleć nas pokarm nie zaleca Bogu; bo choćbyśmy jedli, nic nam nie przybywa; a choćbyśmy i nie jedli, nic nam nie ubywa.
9 do be careful however lest perhaps the right of you this an occasion of stumbling may become to those (weak. *N(k)O*)
Jednak baczcie, aby snać ta wolność wasza nie była mdłym ku zgorszeniu.
10 If for anyone shall see you who is having knowledge in an idol’s temple eating, surely the conscience of him weak being he will be encouraged the idol-sacrifices to eat?
Albowiem jeźliby kto ujrzał cię, który masz umiejętność, w bałwochwalni siedzącego, azaż sumienie onego, który jest mdły, nie będzie pobudzone ku jedzeniu rzeczy bałwanom ofiarowanych?
11 (Is destroyed *N(K)O*) (for *N(k)O*) the [one] who is being weak (through *N(k)O*) your knowledge, (the *no*) brother for whom Christ died.
I zginie dla onej twojej umiejętności brat mdły, za którego Chrystus umarł.
12 Thus then sinning against the brothers and wounding their conscience being weak, against Christ you sin.
A grzesząc tak przeciwko braciom i mdłe ich sumienie obrażając, grzeszycie przeciwko Chrystusowi.
