1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul a called apostle of Christ Jesus through [the] will of God and Sosthenes the brother
Paulus, genom Guds vilja kallad till Kristi Jesu apostel, så ock brodern Sostenes,
2 To the church of God which is being in Corinth, sanctified in Christ Jesus called holy, together with all those calling on the name of the Lord of us Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs (then *k*) and ours:
hälsar den Guds församling som finnes i Korint, de i Kristus Jesus helgade, dem som äro kallade och heliga, jämte alla andra som åkalla vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, namn, på alla orter där de eller vi bo.
3 Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
Nåd vare med eder och frid ifrån Gud, vår Fader, och Herren Jesus Kristus.
4 I thank the God of mine always concerning you for the grace of God which having been given you in Christ Jesus
Jag tackar Gud alltid för eder skull, för den Guds nåd som har blivit eder given i Kristus Jesus,
5 for in everything you have been enriched in Him in all speech and in all knowledge,
att I haven i honom blivit rikligen begåvade i alla stycken, i fråga om allt vad tal och kunskap heter.
6 even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed in you,
Så har ju ock vittnesbördet om Kristus blivit befäst hos eder,
7 so as for you not to be lacking in not one gift eagerly awaiting the revelation of the Lord of us Jesus Christ;
så att I icke stån tillbaka i fråga om någon nådegåva, medan I vänten på vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, uppenbarelse.
8 who also will sustain you to [the] end blameless in the day of the Lord of us Jesus Christ.
Han skall ock göra eder ståndaktiga intill änden, så att I ären ostraffliga på vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, dag.
9 Faithful [is] God, through whom you were called into fellowship with the Son of Him Jesus Christ the Lord of us.
Gud är trofast, han genom vilken I haven blivit kallade till gemenskap med hans Son, Jesus Kristus, vår Herre.
10 I exhort now you, brothers, through the name of the Lord of us Jesus Christ that the same thing you may speak all and not there may be among you divisions, you may be however knit together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Men jag förmanar eder, mina bröder, vid vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, namn, att alla vara eniga i edert tal och att icke låta söndringar finnas bland eder, utan hålla fast tillhopa i samma sinnelag och samma tänkesätt.
11 It was shown for to me concerning you, brothers of mine, by those of Chloe that quarrels among you there are.
Det har nämligen av Kloes husfolk blivit mig berättat om eder, mina bröder, att tvister hava uppstått bland eder.
12 I mean now this, that each of you says; I myself indeed am of Paul, I myself however of Apollos, I myself however of Cephas, I myself however of Christ.
Härmed menar jag att bland eder den ene säger: »Jag håller mig till Paulus», den andre: »Jag håller mig till Apollos», en annan: »Jag håller mig till Cefas», åter en annan: »Jag håller mig till Kristus.» --
13 Has been divided Christ? Surely not Paul was crucified for you? Or into the name of Paul were you baptized?
Är då Kristus delad? Icke blev väl Paulus korsfäst för eder? Och icke bleven I väl döpta i Paulus' namn?
14 I thank God that no [one] of you I baptized only except Crispus and Gaius,
Jag tackar Gud för att jag icke har döpt någon bland eder utom Krispus och Gajus,
15 so that not anyone may say that into my name (you were baptized. *N(K)O*)
så att ingen kan säga att I haven blivit döpta i mitt namn.
16 I baptized now also the of Stephanas household; as to the rest not I know whether any other I baptized.
Dock, jag har döpt också Stefanas' husfolk; om jag eljest har döpt någon vet jag icke.
17 Not for sent me Christ to baptize but to evangelise; not in wisdom of discourse, that not may be emptied of power the cross of the Christ.
Ty Kristus har icke sänt mig till att döpa, utan till att förkunna evangelium, och detta icke med en visdom som består i ord, för att Kristi kors icke skall berövas sin kraft.
18 The message for of the cross to those indeed perishing foolishness is, to those however being saved to us power of God it is.
Ty talet om korset är visserligen en dårskap för dem som gå förlorade, men för oss som bliva frälsta är det en Guds kraft.
19 It has been written for: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.
Det är ju skrivet: »Jag skall göra de visas vishet om intet, och de förståndigas förstånd skall jag slå ned.»
20 Where [is the] wise? Where [the] scribe? Where [the] debater of the age this? Surely has made foolish God the wisdom of the world (this? *k*) (aiōn g165)
Ja, var äro de visa? Var äro de skriftlärda? Var äro denna tidsålders klyftiga män? Har icke Gud gjort denna världens visdom till dårskap? (aiōn g165)
21 Since for in the wisdom of God not knew the world through the wisdom God, was pleased God through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those believing;
Jo, eftersom världen icke genom sin visdom lärde känna Gud i hans visdom, behagade det Gud att genom den dårskap han lät predikas frälsa dem som tro.
22 Seeing that both Jews (signs *N(K)O*) ask for and Greeks wisdom seek,
Ty judarna begära tecken, och grekerna åstunda visdom,
23 we ourselves however preach Christ crucified, to [the] Jews indeed a stumbling block (to Gentiles *N(K)O*) however foolishness
vi åter predika en korsfäst Kristus, en som för judarna är en stötesten och för hedningarna en dårskap,
24 to them however to those called, Jews both and to Greeks, Christ of God [the] power and of God [the] wisdom.
men som för de kallade, vare sig judar eller greker, är en Kristus som är Guds kraft och Guds visdom.
25 For the foolishness of God wiser than men is and the weakness of God stronger than men (is. *k*)
Ty Guds dårskap är visare än människor, och Guds svaghet är starkare än människor.
26 Consider for the calling of you, brothers, that not many wise according to flesh [were], not many powerful, not many of noble birth,
Ty betänken, mina bröder, huru det var vid eder kallelse: icke många som voro visa efter köttet blevo kallade, icke många mäktiga, icke många av förnämlig släkt.
27 But the foolish things of the world has chosen God that He may shame the wise and the weak things of the world chose God that He may shame the strong,
Men det som för världen var dåraktigt, det utvalde Gud, för att han skulle låta de visa komma på skam.
28 and the low-born of the world and the [things] despised chose God, (and *ko*) the [things] not being, that the [things] being He may annul,
Och det som i världen var svagt, det utvalde Gud, för att han skulle låta det starka komma på skam. Och det som i världen var ringa och föraktat, det utvalde Gud -- ja, det som ingenting var -- för att han skulle göra det till intet, som någonting var.
29 so that not may boast all flesh before (God. *N(K)O*)
Ty han ville icke att något kött skulle kunna berömma sig inför Gud.
30 Out of Him however you yourselves are in Christ Jesus, who has been made wisdom unto us from God, righteousness and also sanctification and redemption,
Men hans verk är det, att I ären i Kristus Jesus, som för oss har blivit till visdom från Gud, till rättfärdighet och helgelse och till förlossning,
31 in order that even as it has been written: The [one] boasting in [the] Lord he should boast.
för att så skall ske, som det är skrivet: »Den som vill berömma sig, han berömme sig av Herren.»
