1 Chronicles 17
1 And it was just when he dwelt David in house his and he said David to Nathan the prophet here! I [am] dwelling in [the] house of cedar and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh [is] under tent curtains.
Kerran, kun Daavid istui linnassansa, sanoi Daavid profeetta Naatanille: "Katso, minä asun setripuisessa palatsissa, mutta Herran liitonarkki on telttakankaan alla". Naatan sanoi Daavidille:
2 And he said Nathan to David all that [is] in heart your do for God [is] with you.
"Tee vain kaikki, mitä mielessäsi on, sillä Jumala on sinun kanssasi".
3 And it was in the night that and it came [the] word of God to Nathan saying.
Mutta sinä yönä tapahtui, että Naatanille tuli tämä Jumalan sana:
4 Go and you will say to David servant my thus he says Yahweh not you you will build for me the house to dwell in.
"Mene ja sano minun palvelijalleni Daavidille: Näin sanoo Herra: Et sinä ole rakentava minulle huonetta asuakseni.
5 For not I have dwelt in a house since the day when I brought up Israel until the day this and I have been from tent to tent and from tabernacle.
Minä en ole asunut huoneessa siitä päivästä asti, jona johdatin Israelin tänne, tähän päivään saakka, vaan minä olen muuttanut teltasta telttaan ja asumuksesta asumukseen.
6 In every where I went about in all Israel ¿ a word did I speak with one of [the] judges of Israel whom I commanded to shepherd people my saying why? not have you built for me a house of cedar.

7 And therefore thus you will say to servant my to David. Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I I took you from the pasture from after the flock to be ruler over people my Israel.
Sano siis minun palvelijalleni Daavidille: Näin sanoo Herra Sebaot: Minä olen ottanut sinut laitumelta, lammasten jäljestä, kansani Israelin ruhtinaaksi.
8 And I was with you in every where you went and I cut off all enemies your from before you and I will make for you a name like [the] name of the great [people] who [are] on the earth.
Ja minä olen ollut sinun kanssasi kaikkialla, missä sinä vaelsit, ja olen hävittänyt kaikki vihollisesi sinun tieltäsi. Ja minä teen sinulle nimen, suurimpien nimien vertaisen maan päällä.
9 And I will establish a place for people my Israel and I will plant it and it will dwell in place its and not it will be agitated again and not they will repeat [the] sons of injustice to consume it just as at the former [time].
Ja minä valmistan sijan kansalleni Israelille ja istutan sen niin, että se asuu paikallansa eikä enää ole levoton eivätkä vääryyden tekijät sitä enää vaivaa niinkuin ennen,
10 And from days when I appointed judges over people my Israel and I will subdue all enemies your and I have told to you and a house he will build for you Yahweh.
siitä ajasta saakka, jolloin minä asetin tuomareita kansalleni Israelille. Ja minä nöyryytän kaikki sinun vihollisesi. Ja minä ilmoitan sinulle, että Herra on rakentava sinulle huoneen.
11 And it will be that they have been completed days your to go with ancestors your and I will raise up offspring your after you who he will be one of descendants your and I will establish kingdom his.
Kun sinun päiväsi ovat päättyneet ja sinä lähdet isiesi tykö, korotan minä sinun seuraajaksesi jälkeläisesi, joka on yksi sinun pojistasi; ja minä vahvistan hänen kuninkuutensa.
12 He he will build for me a house and I will establish throne his until perpetuity.
Hän on rakentava minulle huoneen, ja minä vahvistan hänen valtaistuimensa ikuisiksi ajoiksi.
13 I I will become of him a father and he he will become of me a son and covenant loyalty my not I will remove from with him just as I removed [it] from [the one] who he was before you.
Minä olen oleva hänen isänsä, ja hän on oleva minun poikani; ja armoani minä en ota häneltä pois, niinkuin otin siltä, joka oli sinun edelläsi.
14 And I will appoint him in house my and in kingdom my until perpetuity and throne his it will be established until perpetuity.
Ja minä pidän hänet pystyssä huoneessani ja valtakunnassani iäti, ja hänen valtaistuimensa on oleva iäti vahva."
15 According to all the words these and according to all the vision this so he spoke Nathan to David.
Aivan näillä sanoilla ja tämän näyn mukaan Naatan puhui Daavidille.
16 And he went the king David and he sat before Yahweh and he said who? [am] I O Yahweh God and who? [is] house my that you have brought me to here.
Niin kuningas Daavid meni ja asettui Herran eteen ja sanoi: "Mikä olen minä, Herra Jumala, ja mikä on minun sukuni, että olet saattanut minut tähän asti?
17 And it was small this in view your O God and you have spoken on [the] house of servant your from distant [time] and you have seen me according to [the] order of humankind the going up O Yahweh God.
Mutta tämäkin on ollut vähän sinun silmissäsi, Jumala, ja niin sinä olet puhunut palvelijasi suvulle myöskin kaukaisista asioista ja olet nähnyt minut nousevina ihmispolvina, Herra Jumala.
18 What? will he add again David to you for honor servant your and you servant your you know.
Mitä Daavid enää sinulle puhuisi kunniasta, jota olet osoittanut palvelijallesi? Sinähän tunnet palvelijasi.
19 O Yahweh for sake of servant your and according to heart your you have done all the greatness this by making known all the greatness.
Herra, palvelijasi tähden ja oman mielesi mukaan sinä olet tehnyt kaiken tämän suuren ja ilmoittanut kaikki nämä suuret asiat.
20 O Yahweh there not [is] like you and there not [is] a God except you in all that we have heard with ears our.
Herra, kaiken sen mukaan, mitä me olemme korvillamme kuulleet, ei ole sinun vertaistasi, eikä ole muuta jumalaa kuin sinä.
21 And who? [is] like people your Israel a nation one on the earth which he went God to redeem for himself a people to make for yourself a name great things and awesome [deeds] by driving out from before people your which you had redeemed from Egypt nations.
Ja missä on maan päällä toista kansaa sinun kansasi Israelin vertaista, jota Jumala itse on käynyt lunastamaan kansaksensa, ja niin sinä olet tehnyt itsellesi suuren ja peljättävän nimen karkoittamalla pakanat kansasi tieltä, jonka sinä Egyptistä lunastit.
22 And you made people your Israel - for yourself a people until perpetuity and you O Yahweh you became for them God.
Ja sinä olet asettanut kansasi Israelin omaksi kansaksesi ikuisiksi ajoiksi, ja sinä, Herra, olet tullut heidän Jumalaksensa.
23 And now O Yahweh the word which you have spoken on servant your and on house his let it be established until perpetuity and do just as you have spoken.
Niin olkoon nyt, Herra, se sana, jonka sinä olet puhunut palvelijastasi ja hänen suvustansa, vahva ikuisiksi ajoiksi. Tee, niinkuin olet puhunut.
24 And it may be established so it may be great name your until perpetuity saying Yahweh of hosts [is] [the] God of Israel God to Israel and [the] house of David servant your [is] established before you.
Silloin sinun nimesi on oleva vahva ja tuleva suureksi ikuisiksi ajoiksi, ja se on oleva: Herra Sebaot, Israelin Jumala, Jumala Israelissa. Ja palvelijasi Daavidin suku on pysyvä sinun edessäsi.
25 For - you O God my you have uncovered [the] ear of servant your to build for him a house there-fore he has found servant your to pray before you.
Sillä sinä, minun Jumalani, olet ilmoittanut palvelijallesi rakentavasi hänelle huoneen. Siitä palvelijasi on saanut rohkeuden rukoilla sinun edessäsi.
26 And now O Yahweh you he [are] God and you have spoken on servant your the good thing this.
Ja nyt, Herra, sinä olet Jumala; ja kun olet luvannut palvelijallesi tämän hyvän,
27 And now you have determined to bless [the] house of servant your to be for ever before you for you O Yahweh you have blessed and [it is] blessed for ever.
niin suvaitse nyt siunata palvelijasi sukua, että se pysyisi iäti sinun edessäsi. Sillä mitä sinä, Herra, siunaat, se on oleva siunattu iäti."
