Zephaniah 3
1 Alas for her that is rebellious, and polluted, the city that oppresseth!
கலகம் செய்கிறவர்களும், கறைப்பட்டவர்களும், அடக்கி ஒடுக்குகிறவர்களும் வாழும் நகரமே! உனக்கு ஐயோ கேடு.
2 She hath hearkened to no voice, accepted no correction; in Yahweh, hath not trusted, to her God, hath not drawn near:
அவள் ஒருவருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிய மாட்டாள், அவள் எந்த சீர்திருத்தத்தையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மாட்டாள். அவள் யெகோவாவை நம்புவதில்லை, அவள் தனது இறைவனிடத்தில் நெருங்குவதுமில்லை.
3 Her rulers in her midst, are roaring lions, —her judges, evening wolves, they have left nothing until morning!
அவளுடைய அதிகாரிகள் கெர்ச்சிக்கும் சிங்கங்கள். அவளுடைய ஆளுநர்கள் மாலை நேரத்து ஓநாய்கள். காலைப்பொழுதிற்காக ஒன்றையும் விட்டுவைக்காத ஓநாய்கள்.
4 Her prophets, are reckless, treacherous men! her priests, have profaned the holy, done violence to law.
அவளுடைய இறைவாக்கினர் அகந்தை உடையவர்கள்; அவர்கள் துரோகிகள். அவளுடைய ஆசாரியர்கள் பரிசுத்த இடத்தை கறைப்படுத்தி, சட்டத்தை மீறுகிறார்கள்.
5 Yahweh, the Righteous One, is in her midst, he dealeth not perversely, —Morning by morning, his justice, bringeth he forth the light, He is not found lacking, but the perverse man knoweth no shame.
இன்னும் அவள் நடுவில் இருக்கும் யெகோவா நீதியுள்ளவர்; அவர் அநியாயம் செய்வதில்லை; அவர் காலைதோறும் தமது நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். அவர் ஒவ்வொரு புதிய நாளிலும் தவறாமல் அதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார், ஆயினும் நீதியற்றவர்கள் தங்கள் தீமையில் தொடர்ந்து ஈடுபடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் வெட்கத்தை அறியமாட்டார்கள்.
6 I have cut off nations, deserted are their towers, have made desolate their streets, that none passeth through; ruined are their cities, for want of men of note, from lack of any dweller!
நான் நாடுகள் பலவற்றை முழுவதும் தண்டித்துப்போட்டேன்; அவர்களின் கோட்டைகள் அழிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டன. நான் அவர்களின் வீதிகளில் யாரும் கடந்துபோகாதபடி, அவற்றை வெறிச்சோடப் பண்ணினேன். அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டன; ஒருவரும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை. நடந்ததைச் சொல்வதற்குக்கூட ஒருவருமே இல்லை.
7 I said, Surely thou wilt reverence, Me, wilt accept correction, lest her abode, should be cut of, howsoever I had punished her; but, in truth, they soon corrupted all their deeds.
எனவே நான் எருசலேம் பட்டணத்தைப் பார்த்து, “நிச்சயமாக நீ என்னில் பயமுள்ளவளாயிரு, என் சீர்திருத்தலை ஏற்றுக்கொள்!” என்று சொன்னேன். அப்போது அவளுடைய குடியிருப்பு அகற்றப்படுவதில்லை. என் தண்டனைகள் எல்லாம் அவள்மேல் வருவதில்லை என நான் எண்ணினேன். ஆனால் அவர்களோ தாங்கள் செய்த எல்லாத் தீமையான செயல்கள்மீதும், இன்னும் வாஞ்சையாயிருந்தார்கள்.
8 Wherefore, wait for me, urgeth Yahweh, until the day when I rise up as witness, for, my decision, is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them mine indignation, all the glow of mine anger, for, in the fire of my jealousy, shall be devoured the whole earth.
ஆகவே, “நான் எழுந்து குற்றஞ்சுமத்தும் நாள் வருமளவும் நீ எனக்காகக் காத்திரு” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார். நான் எல்லா நாடுகளையும் அரசுகளையும் ஒன்றுகூட்டி, என் கடுங்கோபத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றுவதற்குத் தீர்மானித்துள்ளேன். அப்பொழுது என் வைராக்கியமான கோபத்தின் நெருப்பினால் முழு உலகமும் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்.
9 Surely, then, will I turn unto the peoples a lip made pure, —that they all may call on the name of Yahweh, may serve him with one consent.
நான் அவ்வேளையில் மக்கள் கூட்டங்களின் உதடுகளைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்துவேன். அவர்கள் யாவரும், யெகோவாவின் பெயரை வழிபட்டு, தோளுக்குத் தோள்கொடுத்து பணிசெய்வார்கள்.
10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, [shall come] my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bear along a gift for me.
எத்தியோப்பிய நதிகளுக்கு அப்பால் இருக்கிற என்னை ஆராதிக்கிறவர்களான, சிதறுண்ட என் மக்கள், எனக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.
11 In that day, wilt thou not turn pale for all thy deeds, wherein thou hast transgressed against me? For, then, will I take away out of thy midst thy proudly exulting ones, and thou shalt not again be haughty any more in my holy mountain:
அந்த நாளில் தங்கள் பெருமையில் களிகூருகிற அனைவரையும் இந்த பட்டணத்திலிருந்து அகற்றிப்போடுவேன். அதனால் நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செய்த எல்லா அநியாயங்களுக்காகவும் நீங்கள் வெட்கப்பட மாட்டீர்கள். இனி ஒருபோதும் என் பரிசுத்த மலையில் நீங்கள் அகந்தையுள்ளவர்களாய் இருக்கமாட்டீர்கள்.
12 So will I leave remaining in thy midst, a people oppressed and poor, —who will seek refuge in the name of Yahweh:
எனினும் யெகோவாவின் பெயரில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்கிற, சாந்தகுணமுள்ளோரையும், தாழ்மையுள்ளோரையும் உன் பட்டணத்தின் நடுவில் மீதியாக விட்டுவைப்பேன்.
13 The remnant of Israel—will not do perversity, nor speak falsehood, neither shall there be found in their mouth a tongue of deceit, —surely, they, shall feed and lie down, with none to make them afraid.
இஸ்ரயேலில் மீந்திருப்போர் அநியாயம் செய்யமாட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் பொய் பேசமாட்டார்கள்; அவர்களின் வாயில் வஞ்சகம் காணப்படுவதுமில்லை. அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டு படுத்திருப்பார்கள். ஒருவரும் அவர்களைப் பயமுறுத்தமாட்டார்கள்.
14 Sing out, O daughter of Zion, shout aloud, O Israel, —rejoice and exult with all thy heart, O daughter Jerusalem:
சீயோன் மகளே, பாடு; இஸ்ரயேலே, பலமாய்ச் சத்தமிடு; எருசலேம் மகளே, உன் முழு உள்ளத்தோடும் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூரு.
15 Yahweh, hath set aside, thy judgments, hath turned back thy foe, —The king of Israel, Yahweh, is in thy midst, thou shalt not fear calamity, any more.
யெகோவா உன் தண்டனையை நீக்கிப்போட்டார், அவர் உன் பகைவரைத் துரத்திவிட்டார். இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனாகிய யெகோவாவே உன்னுடன் இருக்கிறார்; நீ இனி ஒருபோதும் எவ்வித தீங்கைக் குறித்தும் பயப்படமாட்டாய்.
16 In that day, shall it be said—to Jerusalem, Do not fear, —O Zion, Let not thy hands hang down:
அந்த நாளில் அவர்கள் எருசலேமைப் பார்த்துச் சொல்வதாவது, “சீயோனே, பயப்படாதே; உன் கைகளைச் சோர்ந்துபோக விடாதே.
17 Yahweh, thy God, in the midst of thee, as a mighty one, will save, —will be glad over thee with rejoicing, will be silent in his love, will exult over thee with shouts of triumph.
உன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னுடன் இருக்கிறார். அவர் உன்னை இரட்சிக்க வல்லவர். உன்னில் அவர் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூருவார். அவர் தம்முடைய அன்பினிமித்தம் உன்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளமாட்டார். அவர் உன்னைக்குறித்துப் பாடல்களுடன் மகிழ்வார்.”
18 The sad exiles from the appointed meeting, have I gathered, from thee, had they been! [but were] a burden on thee—a reproach!
“நியமிக்கப்பட்ட உங்கள் பண்டிகைகளை இழந்ததால் நீங்கள் அடைந்த துக்கத்தை, நான் உங்களைவிட்டு நீக்குவேன். அவை உங்களுக்குப் பாரமாயும் நிந்தையாயும் இருக்கின்றன.
19 Behold me! dealing with all thine oppressors, at that time, —and I will save her that is lame, and, her that hath been an outcast, will I carry, and I will make them to be a Praise and a Name, in the whole earth that hath witnessed their shame.
அக்காலத்தில் உன்னை ஒடுக்கிய அனைவரையும் நான் தண்டிப்பேன். முடமானவர்களைத் தப்புவித்துச் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை ஒன்றுசேர்ப்பேன். அவர்கள் வெட்கத்திற்குள்ளான நாடுகளில் எல்லாம் அவர்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியையும், மேன்மையையும் கொடுப்பேன்.
20 At that time, will I bring you in, even at the time when I gather you, —Yea I will grant you to become a Name and a Praise, among all the peoples of the earth, when I cause them of your captivities to return before your eyes, saith Yahweh.
அக்காலத்தில் நான் உங்களை ஒன்றுசேர்ப்பேன்; அக்காலத்தில் நான் உங்களை உங்கள் வீட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுவருவேன். உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக நீங்கள் இழந்த செல்வங்களையும் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டு வந்த மக்களையும் நான் உங்களுக்குத் திருப்பிக் கொடுப்பேன். அப்போது பூமியின் மக்கள் அனைவருக்குள்ளும் உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியையும், மேன்மையையும் கொடுப்பேன் என யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.”
