Zechariah 9
1 The oracle of the word of Yahweh on the land of Hadrach, and, Damascus, shall be the resting-place thereof, —For, Yahweh, hath an eye—to mankind, and to all the tribes of Israel;
Chúa Hằng Hữu nguyền rủa đất Ha-đơ-rắc và Đa-mách, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu quan sát toàn thể nhân loại, cũng như Ngài quan sát các đại tộc Ít-ra-ên vậy.
2 Moreover also, Hamath, adjoineth thereto, Tyre and Zidon, —because very wise;
Lời nguyền rủa cho thành Ha-mát, gần Đa-mách, cùng thành Ty-rơ và Si-đôn, dù người thành ấy rất khôn ngoan.
3 Therefore did Tyre build a stronghold for herself, —and did heap up silver like dust, yea gold, like the mire of the lanes.
Tuy Ty-rơ được phòng thủ kiên cố, có vàng bạc nhiều như bụi đất ngoài đường.
4 Lo! My Lord, shall dispossess her, and smite, into the sea, her fortress, —and, she herself, in fire, shall be consumed.
Nhưng Chúa sẽ tước đoạt hết tài sản của Ty-rơ, ném của cải nó xuống biển, và nó sẽ bị thiêu hủy.
5 Ashkelon, shall see, and fear, Gaza, also, which shall writhe in great anguish, Ekron, also, because abashed is her expectation, —and the king, shall perish, from Gaza, and, Ashkelon, not be inhabited;
Thành Ách-ca-lôn sẽ thấy Ty-rơ sụp đổ và chúng ngập đầy nỗi run sợ, Ga-xa sẽ buồn khổ, Éc-rôn cũng vậy, vì hy vọng đã tiêu tan. Vua Ga-xa sẽ bị giết, Ách-ca-lôn sẽ hoang vắng, không người ở.
6 And there shall be seated a half-breed in Ashdod, —So will I cut off the arrogance of the Philistines;
Người ngoại quốc sẽ chiếm cứ Ách-đốt. Ta sẽ diệt mối kiêu hãnh của người Phi-li-tin.
7 And will take away his reeking prey out of his mouth, and his abominations, from between his teeth, but, he that is left, even he, shall belong to our God, —So shall he become as a chief in Judah, and, Ekron, as a Jebusite!
Ta sẽ lấy máu ra khỏi miệng chúng và vật kinh tởm khỏi răng chúng. Những người Phi-li-tin sống sót sẽ thuộc về Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, và trở nên như trưởng tộc của Giu-đa. Người Éc-rôn sẽ như người Giê-bu vậy.
8 Then will I encamp about my house—against an army, against him that passeth by, and against him that returneth, neither shall an exactor, tread them down any more, —for, now, have I seen with mine own eyes.
Ta sẽ canh gác Đền Thờ Ta, không cho địch quân xâm nhập. Những kẻ áp bức sẽ không còn giày xéo dân Ta, vì Ta để ý canh chừng.
9 Exult greatly, O daughter of Zion, Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem, Lo! thy king, cometh unto thee, vindicated and victorious, is he, —lowly, and riding upon an ass, yea, upon a colt, a young ass.
Hãy mừng lên, con gái Si-ôn ơi! Reo lên, con gái Giê-ru-sa-lem ơi! Kìa, Vua ngươi đến. Chúa là Đấng công bằng, cứu giúp, Ngài khiêm tốn và cưỡi một con lừa— là một lừa con.
10 So will he cut off the chariot out of Ephraim, and the horse out of Jerusalem, and the war-bow, shall be cut off, So shall he speak peace to the nations, and, his dominion, shall be from sea to sea, and from the river [Euphrates] to the ends of the earth.
Ta sẽ hủy xe trận của Ép-ra-im và ngựa chiến của Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ta sẽ bẻ gãy cung của chúng trong chiến trận, và Ngài sẽ ban hòa bình cho các nước. Ngài sẽ cai trị suốt từ đại dương này đến đại dương kia, từ Sông Ơ-phơ-rát cho đến tận cùng đất.
11 As for thee also, —By the blood of thy covenant, have I sent forth thy prisoners out of a pit, wherein is no water.
Vì máu của giao ước Ta đã kết với các ngươi, Ta sẽ giải cứu những người bị giam trong hố không nước.
12 Return to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope, —Even to-day, do I declare—Double, will I return to thee!
Các tù nhân kia, chạy về đồn đi vì còn hy vọng! Như Ta công bố hôm nay, các ngươi sẽ được gấp đôi.
13 For I have bent for me—Judah, As a bow, have I grasped Ephraim, Thus will I rouse up thy sons, O Zion, against the sons of Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty one.
Giu-đa như cung, Ép-ra-im như tên của Ta, con trai Si-ôn như kiếm Ta, và Ta sử dụng ngươi như gươm trong tay một dũng sĩ. Ta sẽ vung gươm chống lại Hy Lạp.
14 But, Yahweh, over them, will appear, and forth shall go, as lightning, his arrow, —Yea, My Lord Yahweh, with a horn, will blow, and will move along in the whirlwinds of the south.
Chúa Hằng Hữu đi trước dân Ngài; tên Ngài bay như chớp! Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao thổi kèn thúc quân, Ngài tiến tới như gió lốc phương nam.
15 Yahweh of hosts, will throw a covering over them, so shall they eat, and trample underfoot sling-stones, and shall drink—shall shout as with wine, —and shall be filled like tossing-bowls, —like the corners of an altar.
Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân bảo vệ dân Ngài, họ sẽ tiêu hủy, giẫm nát quân địch. Họ sẽ uống máu địch như uống rượu. Họ được đầy tràn như bát nước, như góc bàn thờ đẫm nước.
16 So will Yahweh their God, save them, on that day. yea, as a flock of sheep, his people, —for [they shall be like] the jewels of a diadem sparkling over his land.
Ngày ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của họ, sẽ cứu giúp, vì họ là bầy chiên được Ngài chăn giữ. Trên đất Ngài, họ sẽ rực rỡ như ngọc trên vương miện.
17 For how excellent it is! Yea how beautiful! Corn, shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.
Ngày ấy mọi sự sẽ tốt lành đẹp đẽ biết bao! Thóc lúa, rượu nho nuôi dưỡng thanh niên nam nữ nên người tuấn tú.
