Zechariah 7
1 And it came to pass, in the fourth year of Darius the king, that the word of Yahweh came unto Zechariah, on the fourth of the ninth month, in Chisleu;
Ary tamin’ ny taona fahefatra nanjakan’ i Dariosa no nahatongavan’ ny tenin’ i Jehovah tamin’ i Zakaria, tamin’ ny andro fahefatra tamin’ ny volana fahasivy (Kisleva izany);
2 yea when Bethel sent Sherezer and Regemmelech, and his men, —to pacify the face of Yahweh:
ary Betela efa naniraka an’ i Serezera sy Regema-meleka sy ny olony hifona amin’ i Jehovah
3 to speak unto the priests that pertained to the house of Yahweh of hosts, and unto the prophets, saying, —Shall I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
ka hiteny amin’ ny mpisoron’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, sy amin’ ny mpaminany hoe: Hitomany amin’ ny volana fahadimy va aho ka hifady toy ny fanaoko tamin’ ny taon-dasa ela?
4 Then came the word of Yahweh of hosts unto me, saying:
Dia tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, nanao hoe:
5 Speak thou unto all the people of the land, and unto the priests, saying, —When ye fasted and lamented in the fifth and in the seventh, even these seventy years, did ye, really fast, unto, me?
Lazao amin’ ny vahoaka rehetra amin’ ny tany sy amin’ ny mpisorona hoe: Raha nifady hanina sy nitomany tamin’ ny volana fahadimy sy ny fahafito tamin’ izao fito-polo taona izao, ianareo moa nifady ho Ahy va ianareo?
6 And, when ye used to eat and when ye used to drink, was it not, of your own accord, ye did eat, and, of your own accord, ye did drink?
Ary raha mihinana sy misotro ianareo, moa tsy mihinana sy misotro ho an’ ny tenanareo ihany va ianareo?
7 Should ye not [have been doing] the things which Yahweh, had proclaimed, by the hand of the former prophets, while yet Jerusalem was inhabited and in peace, with her cities round about her, —and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?
Moa tsy tokony ho nihaino ny teny izay nasain’ i Jehovah nantsoin’ ny mpaminany fahiny va ianareo, fony mbola nonenana sy nandry fahizay Jerosalema sy ny zana-bohiny manodidina azy, sady nonenana koa ny tany atsimo sy ny tany lemaka amoron-tsiraka?
8 And the word of Yahweh came unto Zechariah, saying:
Ary tonga tamin’ i Zakaria ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
9 Thus, spake Yahweh of hosts, saying, —With true justice, give ye judgment, and, lovingkindness and compassions, observe ye, one with another;
Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro: Manaova fitsarana marina, ary samia mifampiantra sy mifamindra fo amin’ ny rahalahiny avy;
10 And, the widow and the fatherless, the sojourner and the humbled, do not ye oppress, —and, wickedness between one man and another, do not ye devise in your hearts.
ary aza mampahory ny mpitondratena na ny kamboty, na ny vahiny, na ny mahantra; ary aza misy mihevitra ao am-ponareo hanisy ratsy ny rahalahinareo ianareo.
11 Howbeit they refused to give heed, but put forth a rebellious shoulder, —and, their ears, made they hard of hearing, that they might not hear;
Nefa tsy nety nihaino ireny, fa nampihemotra ny sorony, ary nataony lalodalovana ny sofiny; mba tsy handre.
12 and, their heart, turned they into adamant, that they might not hear the law, nor the words which Yahweh of hosts sent by his spirit, through the former prophets, —and so there came great wrath from Yahweh of hosts.
Eny, nanao ny fony ho mafy, toy ny diamondra Izy, mba tsy hihaino ny lalàna sy ny teny izay nampitondrain’ ny Fanahin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, holazain’ ny mpaminany fahiny, ka dia tonga izay fahatezerana mafy avy tamin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro,
13 Therefore came it to pass that—just as he cried out and they hearkened not, so, used they to cry out, and I used not to hearken, saith Yahweh of hosts;
Koa toy ny niantsoan’ ireny, fa tsy nohenoiny, dia ho toy izany no hiantsoany kosa, fa tsy hohenoiko, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro;
14 But I whirled them over all the nations whom they had not known, and, the land, was made desolate after them, that none passed through and returned, —Yea they made of a delightful land—a desolation.
fa haeliko amin’ ny tafio-drivotra ho any amin’ ny firenena rehetra izay tsy fantany izy. Toy izany no nahalao ny tany tao aoriany, ka tsy nisy olona nandroso na niverina; fa nahatonga ny tany mahafinaritra ho tany lao izy.
