< Zechariah 5 >

1 And once more lifted I mine eyes, and looked, —and lo! a Flying Volume.
Mehwɛɛ bio, na mihuu nhoma mmobɔwee a ɛretu wɔ wim wɔ mʼanim!
2 And he said unto me, What canst thou see? So I said, I, can see a flying volume, the length thereof, twenty by the cubit, and, the breadth thereof, ten by the cubit.
Obisaa me se, “Dɛn na wuhu yi?” Mibuae se, “Mihu nhoma mmobɔwee a ɛnenam wim a ne tenten yɛ anammɔn aduasa, na ne trɛw nso yɛ anammɔn dunum.”
3 Then said he unto me, This, is the curse, which is going forth over the face of all the earth, —Because, every one who stealeth, on the one side, hath in one way been let off, and, every one who sweareth, on the other side, hath in another way been let off,
Na ɔka kyerɛɛ me se, “Eyi ne nnome a ɛreba asase yi so nyinaa; sɛnea ɔfa baako kyerɛ no, wɔbɛpam ɔkorɔmfo biara, na ɔfa baako nso kyerɛ sɛ, obiara a ɔka ntamhunu no, wɔbɛpam no.
4 [therefore] have I brought it forth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And it shall enter—into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth by my name, falsely, —and it shall roost in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, both the timbers thereof, and the stones thereof.
Asafo Awurade pae mu ka se, ‘Meresoma nnome yi na ɛbɛhyɛn ɔkorɔmfo ne obiara a ɔde me din ka ntamhunu no fi. Ɛbɛka ofie hɔ na asɛe ne nnua ne abo.’”
5 Then came forward, the messenger who was talking with me, —and said unto me—Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this is which is coming forth.
Afei ɔbɔfo a na ɔne me rekasa no baa nʼanim bɛka kyerɛɛ me se, “Ma wʼani so na hwɛ eyi, nea ɛreba yi.”
6 And I said, What is it? Then said he, This, is an ephah that is coming forth. And he said, This, is their iniquity, throughout all the land.
Mibisa sɛ “Ɛyɛ dɛn?” Obuae se, “Ɛyɛ kɛntɛn a wɔde susuw nneɛma.” Ɔtoaa so se, “nnipa a wɔwɔ wiase yi mu bɔne ahyɛ no ma.”
7 And lo! a leaden disc uplifted, —and here a certain woman, sitting inside the ephah.
Afei woyii kɛntɛn no so sumpii mmuaso no, na mu na na ɔbea bi hyɛ!
8 Then said he, This, is Lawlessness. So he thrust her back inside the ephah, —and then thrust the leaden weight into the mouth thereof.
Ɔkae se, “Eyi yɛ atirimɔdensɛm,” afei ɔkaa ɔbea no hyɛɛ kɛntɛn no mu na ɔde sumpii mmuaso no kataa no so.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! Two Women coming forward, with the wind in their wings, and, they, had wings, like the wings of the stork, —and bare up the ephah, between the earth and the heavens.
Afei memaa me ti so huu mmea baanu a wɔwɔ ntaban te sɛ asukɔnkɔn de a wɔde dannan wɔn ho wɔ wim. Wɔmaa kɛntɛn no so kɔɔ wim, ɔsoro ne asase ntam.
10 Then said I unto the messenger who was speaking with me, —Whither are they carrying the ephah?
Mibisaa ɔbɔfo a na ɔne me rekasa no se, “Ɛhe na wɔde kɛntɛn no rekɔ?”
11 And he said unto me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar, —so shall it be ready, and they shall settle it there, upon its own base?
Obuae se, “Wɔde rekɔ Babilonia asase so akosi fi ama no. Na sɛ, wowie a, wɔde kɛntɛn no bɛkɔ akosi nʼafa.”
