< Zechariah 5 >

1 And once more lifted I mine eyes, and looked, —and lo! a Flying Volume.
Megawu mo dzi eye mekpɔ agbalẽ aɖe wònɔ dzodzom le yame.
2 And he said unto me, What canst thou see? So I said, I, can see a flying volume, the length thereof, twenty by the cubit, and, the breadth thereof, ten by the cubit.
Mawudɔla la biam be, “Nu ka nèkpɔ?” Meɖo eŋu be, “Mekpɔ agbalẽ aɖe si le dzodzom! Agbalẽ la ƒe didime nye afɔ blaetɔ̃ eye eƒe kekeme nye afɔ wuiatɔ̃.”
3 Then said he unto me, This, is the curse, which is going forth over the face of all the earth, —Because, every one who stealeth, on the one side, hath in one way been let off, and, every one who sweareth, on the other side, hath in another way been let off,
4 [therefore] have I brought it forth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And it shall enter—into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth by my name, falsely, —and it shall roost in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, both the timbers thereof, and the stones thereof.
Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔ be, ‘Madɔ fiƒode sia ɖa, eye age ɖe fiafitɔ la ƒe aƒe me kple ame si yɔa nye ŋkɔ tsɔ kaa atam dzodzro la ƒe aƒe me. Anɔ eƒe aƒe me, agbã aƒe nɛ, eye wòakaka atiawo kple kpeawo siaa.’”
5 Then came forward, the messenger who was talking with me, —and said unto me—Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this is which is coming forth.
Mawudɔla si nɔ nu ƒom kplim la zɔ va gbɔnye, eye wògblɔ nam be, “Fɔ mo dzi nàkpɔ nu si le yame gbɔna.”
6 And I said, What is it? Then said he, This, is an ephah that is coming forth. And he said, This, is their iniquity, throughout all the land.
Mebiae be, “Nu ka wònye?” Eɖo eŋu be, “Nudzidzekusie” Egagblɔ kpe ɖe eŋu be, “Esiae nye amewo ƒe nu vɔ̃ le anyigba katã la dzi.”
7 And lo! a leaden disc uplifted, —and here a certain woman, sitting inside the ephah.
Kasia nutunu gã si le kusi la nu la fɔ dzi, eye mekpɔ nyɔnu aɖe si nɔ anyi ɖe kusi la me!
8 Then said he, This, is Lawlessness. So he thrust her back inside the ephah, —and then thrust the leaden weight into the mouth thereof.
Mawudɔla la gblɔ be, “Esiae nye vɔ̃ɖinyenye,” eye wotutui gade kusi la me hetsɔ nutunu gã la tu enu.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! Two Women coming forward, with the wind in their wings, and, they, had wings, like the wings of the stork, —and bare up the ephah, between the earth and the heavens.
Azɔ mekpɔ nyɔnu eve siwo dzo gbɔna ɖe gbɔnye, woƒe aʋalawo le abe damixetɔwo ene, eye wova kɔ kusi gã la hedzo kplii yi ɖe dziƒo ʋĩi.
10 Then said I unto the messenger who was speaking with me, —Whither are they carrying the ephah?
Mebia mawudɔla si nɔ nu ƒom kplim la be, “Afi ka wokɔ kusi la yinae?”
11 And he said unto me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar, —so shall it be ready, and they shall settle it there, upon its own base?
Eɖo eŋu nam be, “Wokɔe yina ɖe Babilonia, afi si woatu xɔ ɖo nɛ. Ne wotu xɔ la nɛ vɔ la, woakɔ kusi la ada ɖe enɔƒe le afi ma.”
