< Zechariah 4 >

1 And once more the messenger who was speaking with me, roused me up, just as a man might be roused up out of his sleep.
Awo malayika eyali ayogera nange n’akomawo, n’anzuukusa ng’omuntu bw’azuukusibwa mu tulo.
2 Then said he unto me, What canst thou see? And I said—I have looked, and lo! a Lampstand—all of gold, with the Bowl thereof upon the top thereof, and its Seven Lamps upon it, Seven Pipes each, to the lamps which are upon the top thereof;
N’ambuuza nti, “Kiki ky’olaba?” Ne muddamu nti, “Ndaba ekikondo ky’ettaala nga kyonna kya zaabu, nga waggulu kiriko n’akabakuli kaakwo, n’ettaala zaakwo omusanvu, nga buli ttaala eriko omumwa gwayo.
3 and, Two Olive-trees, by it, —one upon the right hand of the bowl, and one upon the left hand thereof.
Era waliwo emiti emizeeyituuni ebiri ku mabbali gaakyo, ogumu ku mukono ogwa ddyo ogw’akabakuli, n’omulala ku mukono ogwa kkono.”
4 Then responded I, and said unto the messenger who was speaking with me, saying, —What are these, my lord?
Ne mbuuza malayika eyali ayogera nange nti, “Bino biki mukama wange?”
5 Then answered the messenger who was speaking with me, and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these, are? And I said, No my lord.
Malayika eyali ayogera nange n’addamu n’aŋŋamba nti, “Tobimanyi?” Ne muddamu nti, “Nedda mukama wange.”
6 Then responded he, and spake unto me, saying, This, is the word of Yahweh, unto Zerubbabel, saying, —Not by wealth, nor by strength, but by my spirit, saith Yahweh of hosts.
Awo n’addamu n’aŋŋamba nti, “Kino kye kigambo kya Mukama eri Zerubbaberi: ‘Si lwa maanyi so si lwa buyinza naye lwa Mwoyo wange,’ bw’ayogera Mukama ow’Eggye.
7 Who, art, thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel, [brought down] to a plain! So shall he bring forth the headstone, with thundering shouts Beautiful! Beautiful! thereunto.
“Ggwe olusozi olunene weyita ki? Mu maaso ga Zerubbaberi olibeera lusenyi, era alireeta ejjinja erya waggulu mu mizira n’okwogerera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka ng’agamba nti, ‘Liweebwe omukisa, liweebwe omukisa!’”
8 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
Awo ekigambo kya Mukama ne kinzijira nga kyogera nti,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel, have founded this house, and, his hands, shall finish it, —So shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto you.
“Emikono gya Zerubbaberi gitaddewo omusingi gwa yeekaalu eno era girigumaliriza, era olitegeera nti Mukama ow’Eggye ye yantuma gye muli.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? Yet shall they rejoice, when they see the plummet-stone in the hand of Zerubbabel, —these seven! The eyes of Yahweh, they are—running to and fro throughout all the earth.
“Ani anyooma olunaku olw’ebintu ebitono? Abantu balijaguza, bwe baliraba ejjinja erigera mu mukono gwa Zerubbaberi. Gano omusanvu ge maaso ga Katonda agayitaayita mu nsi yonna.”
11 Then responded I, and said unto him, —What are these two olive-trees, upon the right of the lampstand, and upon the left thereof?
Ne ndyoka mubuuza nti, “Emizeeyituuni gino ebiri ku mukono ogwa ddyo ne ku gwa kkono ogw’ekikondo ky’ettabaaza, gitegeeza ki?”
12 And I responded a second time, and said unto him, —What are the two branches of the olive- trees which join the two golden tubes, which empty out of them the golden oil?
Ne nnyongera okumubuuza nti, “Gano amatabi abiri ag’emizeeyituuni agaliraanye emidumu gya zaabu ge gayitamu amafuta aga zaabu?”
13 And he spake unto me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
N’anziramu nti, “Tobimanyi?” Ne njogera nti, “Nedda, mukama wange.”
14 Then said he, These, are the two Anointed Ones, —who stand near the Lord of all the earth.
Awo n’addamu nti, “Abo be babiri abaafukibwako amafuta abaweereza Mukama ow’ensi yonna.”
