Zechariah 3
1 And he shewed me, Joshua the high priest, standing before the messenger of Yahweh, —and, the Accuser, standing at his right hand, to accuse him.
Chúa cho tôi thấy thầy thượng tế Giô-sua đang đứng trước thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu, có Sa-tan đứng bên phải buộc tội người.
2 Then said Yahweh unto the Accuser, Yahweh rebuke thee, O Accuser, Yea Yahweh rebuke thee, he who is choosing Jerusalem, —Is not, this, a brand snatched out of the fire?
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán với Sa-tan: “Chúa Hằng Hữu khiển trách ngươi! Chúa Hằng Hữu—Đấng chọn Giê-ru-sa-lem—quở trách ngươi! Người này chỉ như củi đang cháy dở, được gắp ra từ đám lửa mà thôi.”
3 Now, Joshua, was clothed with filthy garments, —though standing before the messenger.
Khi đứng trước mặt thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Giô-sua mặc một chiếc áo bẩn.
4 Then responded he and spake unto those who were standing before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from off him; and he said unto him, See! I have caused to pass from off thee, thine iniquity, And will cause thee to be clothed in robes of state.
Thiên sứ Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo các thiên sứ đứng quanh: “Cởi áo bẩn của người ra.” Quay sang Giô-sua, thiên sứ nói: “Thấy không, Ta cất tội con đi, mặc áo tốt đẹp cho con.”
5 Then said I, Let them put a clean turban upon his head, —So they put the clean turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments, and, the messenger of Yahweh, was standing up.
Lúc ấy, tôi lên tiếng: “Xin Chúa bảo họ đội cho người một vành khăn sạch nữa.” Vậy, họ đội khăn sạch, mặc áo mới cho người.
6 So then the messenger of Yahweh did solemnly affirm unto Joshua, saying:
Thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu chỉ thị cho Giô-sua:
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, If, in my ways, thou wilt walk, and if, of my charge, thou wilt keep charge, Then, even thou, shalt govern my house, Moreover also, thou shalt have charge of my courts, —and I will give thee free access among these who stand by.
“Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: ‘Nếu con theo đường lối Ta, tuân giữ huấn lệnh Ta, con sẽ được cai quản nhà Ta, giữ sân Ta, và Ta sẽ cho con đi lại giữa các thiên sứ đứng chầu Ta đây.
8 Hear, I pray thee, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy friends who are sitting before thee, for, men to serve as signs, they are, —For behold me! bringing in my servant, the Bud;
Hãy lắng nghe Ta, hỡi thầy thượng tế Giô-sua, và các bạn ngồi trước mặt con, những người mang điềm lành, hãy nghe lời Ta đây: Ta sẽ đem Đầy Tớ Ta là Chồi Nhánh đến.
9 For lo! the stone which I have set before Joshua, Upon one stone, are Seven (pairs of) Eyes, —Behold me! cutting the engraving thereof, declareth Yahweh of hosts. So will I take away the iniquity of that land in one day.
Ta sẽ khắc chữ trên khối đá bảy mặt Ta đã đặt trước mặt con, Giô-sua, và trong chỉ một ngày, Ta sẽ cất tội lỗi khỏi đất này,’ Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán vậy.
10 In that day, declareth Yahweh of hosts, Ye shall invite one another, —[to come] under the vine and under the fig-tree.
Trong ngày ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán, mọi người sẽ có dịp mời anh em láng giềng đến thăm cùng nhau ngồi dưới cây nho, và gốc vả trong vườn.”
