< Zechariah 2 >

1 Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! a Man, —and, in his hand, a Measuring Line.
Nampiandraeko maso le nahatrea te ingo t’indaty minday talim-panjeheañe am-pità’e.
2 And I said, Whither art thou going? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what [should be] the breadth thereof, and what the length thereof.
Le hoe iraho: Homb’aia v’iheo? Le hoe re amako: Hanjehe Ierosalaime, hahaisake ty am-pohe’e naho ty an-dava’e.
3 And lo! the messenger who was talking with me, coming forward, —and another messenger, coming forward to meet him.
Aa le ingo nionjom-beo i anjely nisaontsy amakoy, vaho niakatse mb’eo ka ty anjely raike hifanalaka ama’e,
4 So he said unto him, Run, speak unto this young man, saying: Like open villages, shall Jerusalem remain, for the multitude of men and cattle in her midst;
le nanoe’e ty hoe: Mihitrifa, saontsio ty hoe amo ajalahio: Himoneñe tsy aman-kijoly t’Ierosalaime ty ami’ty hatsifotofoto’ ondaty naho añombe ama’e.
5 And, I, will become to her, declareth Yahweh, A wall of fire round about, —and, a glory, will I become in her midst.
Amy te, Izaho, hoe t’Iehovà ty ho kijolin’ afo ama’e hañarikatok’ aze; Izaho ty ho enge’e añivo’e ao.
6 Ho! ho! flee ye, therefore, out of the land of the North, urgeth Yahweh. For, as the four winds of the heavens, have I spread you abroad, declareth Yahweh.
Hoke! mirifata boak’ an-tane avaratse añe, hoe t’Iehovà; fa naboeleko añe manahake o tiok’efa’ i likerañeio nahareo, hoe t’Iehovà.
7 Ho! Zion, deliver thyself, —thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. For,
Hoke! ry Tsione, mibolitiora ry mpimoneñe amy anak’ ampela’ i Baveley;
8 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, For his own honour, hath he sent me unto the nations that are spoiling you, —Surely, he that toucheth you, toucheth the pupil of mine eye.
fa hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà’ i Màro, nañirak’ ahy hitoha engeñe amo fifeheañe nikopak’ azoo: Toe mipaoke ty saintem-pihainoko ze mitsapa anahareo.
9 For behold me! brandishing my hand over them, and they shall become a spoil unto their own slaves, —and ye shall know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me.
Ingo te hahelahelako ambone’ iereo ty tañako, le ho fikopaha’ o nitoroñe iareoo; vaho ho fohi’o te Iehovà ro nañirak’ ahy.
10 Sing out and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, —For behold me! coming in, and I will make my habitation in thy midst, declareth Yahweh.
Misaboa naho mirebeha, ry anak’ ampela’ i Tsione; fa ingo ho avy iraho himoneñe añivo’o ao, hoe t’Iehovà.
11 Then shall many nations, join themselves, unto Yahweh, in that day, and shall become my people, —and I will make my habitation in thy midst, so shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto thee.
Maro o fifeheañe hirekets’ am’ Iehovà amy andro zaio ty ho ondatiko, le himoneñe añivo’o ao iraho; vaho hapota’o te Iehovà’ i maroy ro nañirak’ ahy.
12 Thus will Yahweh inherit Judah, his portion, on the soil of the sanctuary, —and make choice, yet again, of Jerusalem.
Ho rambese’ Iehovà t’Iehoda ho anjara’e amy tane miavakey vaho ho joboñe’e indraike t’Ierosalaime.
13 Hush! all flesh, before Yahweh, —For he hath roused himself up out of his holy dwelling.
Mianjiña, ze kila nofotse, añatrefa’ Iehovà, ie fa nivañoñe naho niavotse i akiba’e miavakey.
