Zechariah 12

1 The oracle of the word of Yahweh, on Israel, —Declareth Yahweh—Stretching out the heavens, and founding the earth, and fashioning the spirit of man within him:

Detta är Herrans ords tunge öfver Israel, säger Herren, den der utsträcker himmelen, och grundar jordena, och menniskones anda gör uti honom:

2 Lo! I am making Jerusalem a bowl of reeling to all the peoples, round about, —Moreover also, on Judah, shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem;

Si, jag vill göra Jerusalem till en fallskål allom folkom deromkring; ty det varder ock Juda gällandes, när Jerusalem belagt varder.

3 And it shall come to pass, in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a lifting-stone, to all the peoples, all who seek to lift her, shall, cut themselves in pieces, —though all the nations of the earth, gather themselves together against her.

Likväl vill jag på den tiden göra Jerusalem till en tung sten allom folk om; alle de som vilja borthäfva honom, de skola förslita sig på honom; ty alle Hedningar på jordene skola församla sig emot honom.

4 In that day, Declareth Yahweh, I will smite every horse with terror, and his rider with madness, —and, over the house of Judah, will I keep opening mine eyes, and, every horse of the peoples, will I smite with blindness.

På den tiden, säger Herren, skall jag göra hvar och en häst sky, och hans åsittare ursinnigan; men öfver Juda hus vill jag hafva min ögon öppne, och plåga alla folks hästar med blindhet.

5 Then will the chiefs of Judah say in their hearts, —A strength unto me, [would be] the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in Yahweh of hosts, their God.

Och Förstarna i Juda skola säga uti sitt hjerta: Låt de borgare i Jerusalem hafva ett godt mod i Herranom Zebaoth, deras Gud.

6 In that day, will I make the chiefs of Judah like a pan of fire among sticks, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf, so shall they devour, on the right hand and on the left, all the peoples round about; so shall Jerusalem yet, be inhabited, in her own place, as Jerusalem.

På den tiden skall jag göra Juda Förstar till en brinnande ugn i ved, och såsom en eldbrand i halm; så att de skola uppfräta, både på högra sidone och den venstra, all folk omkring sig; och Jerusalem skall åter besuttet varda i sitt rum, i Jerusalem.

7 But Yahweh will save the tents of Judah first, —lest the honour of the house of David, and the honour of the inhabitant of Jerusalem, should be magnified over Judah.

Och Herren skall hjelpa Juda hyddor, såsom i förtiden; på det Davids hus icke skall högt berömma sig, eller borgarena i Jerusalem emot Juda.

8 In that day, will Yahweh, throw a covering, around the inhabitant of Jerusalem, so shall the tottering among them, in that day, become like David, —and the house of David—like God, like the messenger of Yahweh, before them.

På den tiden skall Herren beskärma borgarena i Jerusalem; och det skall ske, att den der svag är på den tiden, han skall vara såsom David; och Davids hus skall vara såsom Guds hus, såsom Herrans Ängel för dem.

9 And it shall come to pass, in that day, —That I will seek to destroy all the nations, that come against Jerusalem.

Och på den tiden skall jag tänka till att nederlägga alla Hedningar, som emot Jerusalem dragne äro.

10 But I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitant of Jerusalem, the spirit of favour, and of supplications, and they will look unto me, whom they have pierced, —and will wail over him, as one waileth over an only son, and will make bitter outcry over him, as one maketh bitter outcry over a firstborn.

Men öfver Davids hus, och öfver borgarena i Jerusalem, skall jag utgjuta nåds och böns Anda; ty de skola se uppå mig, den de genomstungit hafva; och skola begråta honom, lika som man ett enda barn begråter; och skola bedröfva sig om honom, såsom man bedröfvar sig om ett första barn.

11 In that day, will the wailing, be great, in Jerusalem, as the wailing of Hadadrimmon, in the valley of Megiddon;

På den tiden skall stor klagogråt vara i Jerusalem, lika som det var men HadadRimmon, uti den markene Megiddon.

12 So shall the land, wail, family by family, apart, —the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart, the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

Och landet skall jämra sig, hvart och ett slägte besynnerliga; Davids hus slägte besynnerliga, och deras hustrur besynnerliga; Nathans hus slägte besynnerliga, och deras hustrur besynnerliga;

13 The family of the house of Levi, apart, and their wives apart, the family of Shimei, apart, —and their wives apart:

Levi hus slägte besynnerliga, och deras hustrur besynnerliga; Simei hus slägte besynnerliga, och deras hustrur besynnerliga;

14 All the families that remain, family by family, apart, —and their wives, apart.

Alltså alla andras slägter, hvart och ett besynnerliga, och deras hustrur också besynnerliga.
