Zechariah 10

1 Ask ye from Yahweh rain, in the time of the latter rain, Yahweh, who causeth flashes of lightning, —and, rain in abundant showers, giveth he unto them, to every man, herbage in the field;

Demandez au Seigneur de la pluie selon la saison, le matin et le soir. Le Seigneur a créé des signes manifestes; Il donnera aux hommes les pluies d'hiver, et à chacun de l'herbe en son champ.

2 For, the household gods, have spoken vanity, and, the diviners, have had vision of falsehood, and, deceitful dreams, do they relate, vainly, do they console, —for this reason, have they moved about like a flock, they suffer ill, because there is no shepherd.

Les faux prophètes ont fait des prédictions funestes; les devins ont rapporté des visions fausses et des songes trompeurs; ils ont donné de vaines consolations; à cause de cela, ils ont dépéri comme des brebis abandonnées; ils ont été affligés, parce qu'il n'y avait pas de remède.

3 Against the shepherds, is kindled mine anger, and, upon the leaders of the flock, will I bring punishment, —for Yahweh of hosts hath visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them like his noble horse in battle:

Ma colère s'est enflammée contre les pasteurs, et Je visiterai les agneaux. Et le Seigneur Dieu tout-puissant visitera Son troupeau, la maison de Juda; et Il la formera comme son coursier, prêt aux combats.

4 From him, the commander, from him, the supporter, from him, the war-bow, —from him, shall proceed every one that driveth on, together;

C'est de Lui que vient la visite; de Lui, l'ordre de bataille; de Lui, l'arc de la colère; et aussi tout exacteur sortira de Lui.

5 So shall they become like mighty ones, trampling on the mire of lanes, in battle, and they will fight because, Yahweh, is with them, —and will abash the riders of horses.

Et ils seront comme des guerriers, foulant aux pieds la boue des chemins dans la bataille; et ils en viendront aux mains, parce que le Seigneur sera avec eux; et les cavaliers seront confondus.

6 So will I make mighty ones of the house of Judah, and, the house of Joseph, will I save, and will cause them to continue, because I have had compassion upon them, So shall they be as though I had not rejected them, —for, I, Yahweh, will be their God, and will answer them;

Et Je fortifierai la maison de Juda; et Je sauverai la maison de Joseph, et Je les rétablirai, parce que Je les aime; et ils seront comme si Je ne les avais pas répudiés; car Je suis le Seigneur leur Dieu, et Je les exaucerai.

7 And they shall be as the mighty one of Ephraim, and their heart, shall rejoice, as through wine, —yea, their children, shall see and rejoice, their heart, shall exult, in Yahweh.

Et ils seront comme les guerriers d'Éphraïm, et leur cœur se réjouira, comme dans le vin; voilà ce que verront leurs enfants, et ils en seront charmés, et leur âme se réjouira dans le Seigneur.

8 I will signal for them, and will gather them, because I have ransomed them, —and they shall multiply, according as they have multiplied;

Je leur donnerai le signal et Je les rassemblerai; car Je les affranchirai et les multiplierai, comme lorsqu'ils étaient le plus nombreux.

9 Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet, in places far away, shall they remember me, —and they shall live with their children, and shall return;

Et Je les disséminerai parmi les peuples, et les plus lointains se souviendront de Moi; ils élèveront leurs enfants, et ils reviendront de captivité.

10 And I will bring them back out of the land of Egypt, and, out of Assyria, will I gather them, —and, into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, will I bring them, and [room] shall not be found for them:

Et Je les ramènerai de la terre d'Égypte; Je les accueillerai à leur retour de l'Assyrie, et Je les conduirai en Galaad et sur le Liban; et pas un seul d'entre eux ne sera laissé en oubli.

11 Though he pass through a sea of affliction, yet shall he smite the sea, with its waves, and the roaring depths of the Nile, shall appear dry, —So shall be brought down the pride of Assyria, and, the sceptre of Egypt, shall depart;

Et ils traverseront les détroits de la mer, et ils frapperont ses vagues, et le fond des fleuves sera à sec, et tout l'orgueil des Assyriens sera abattu, et le sceptre de l'Égypte sera brisé.

12 And I will make them mighty in Yahweh, and, in his name, shall they march to and fro, —Declareth Yahweh.

Et Je les fortifierai dans le Seigneur leur Dieu; et ils se feront gloire de Son Nom, dit le Seigneur.
