Zechariah 1
1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yahweh unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying: —
दाराको शासनकालको दोस्रो वर्षको आठौँ महिनामा, अगमवक्ता इद्दोका नाति बेरेक्याहका छोरा जकरियाकहाँ परमप्रभुको यस्तो वचन आय।
2 Yahweh, was sore displeased, with your fathers:
“परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूसँग अत्यन्तै रिसाउनुभएको थियो!
3 therefore shalt thou say unto them, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Return ye unto me, urgeth Yahweh of hosts, —that I may return unto you, saith Yahweh of hosts.
तिनीहरूलाई भन्, ‘सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: मतिरफर्क!- परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ- र म तिमीहरूतिर फर्कनेछु, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
4 Do not become like your fathers, unto whom the former prophets, proclaimed, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Return, I pray you, from your wicked ways, and from your wicked practices; but they heard not, nor hearkened unto me, declareth Yahweh.
तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूझैँ नहोओ जसलाई अगमवक्ताहरूले यस्तो भनेका थिए, “सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: तिमीहरूका खराब मार्गहरू र दुष्ट कामहरूबाट फर्क!” तर तिनीहरूले सुनेनन् र मलाई ध्यान दिएनन् - परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।’”
5 Your fathers, where are they? and, the prophets, to times age-abiding, do they live?
तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरू कहाँ छन्? अगमवक्ताहरू कहाँ छन्, के तिनीहरूयहाँ सधैँ रहन्छन्?
6 Howbeit, as for my words and my statutes with which I charged my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? and so they returned and said, Just as Yahweh of hosts planned to do unto us, according to our ways and according to our practices, So hath he dealt with us?
तर मैले मेरा दास अगमवक्ताहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका मेरा वचन र निर्णयहरूले के तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूलाई उछिनेकाछैनन् र? यसैकारण तिनीहरूले पाश्चाताप गरे र भने, ‘हाम्रा चाल र कामहरूअनुसारसुहाउँदो सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुले हामीसँग जस्तो व्यवहार गर्ने योजना गर्नुभयो, उहाँले हामीसित त्यस्तै गर्नुभएको छ ।’”
7 Upon the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the same, is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yahweh unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, as followeth:
दाराको शासनकालको दोस्रो वर्षको एघारौँ महिनाको चौबिसौँ दिन, अर्थात् शेबातको महिनामा, अगमवक्ता इद्दोका नाति बेरेक्याहका छोरा जकरियाकहाँ परमप्रभुको यस्तो वचन आयो,
8 I looked by night, And lo! a man riding upon a red horse, and he was standing among the myrtle trees, in the shade; and, after him, were horses, red, bay, and white.
“मैले रातमा यस्तो देखेँ! एउटा मानिस रातो घोडामा सवार थिए, र तिनी बेँसीको असारे-फूलका रूखहरूका माझमा थिए, र उनको पछाडि रातो, रातो-खैरो, र सेतो घोडाहरू थिए ।”
9 Then said I, What are these, my lord? And the messenger who was speaking with me, said unto me, I, will shew thee what these, are.
मैले भनेँ, “परमप्रभु, यी कुराहरू के हुन्?” अनि मसँग बोलिरहेका स्वर्गदूतले मलाई भने, “यी कुराहरू के हुन्, म तिमीलाई देखाउनेछु ।”
10 So the man who was standing among the myrtle-trees responded, and said, —These, are they whom Yahweh, hath sent, to go to and fro through the earth.
ती असारे-फूलका रूखहरूबिचमा उभिरहेका मानिसले जवाफ दिए, “यी तिनै हुन् जसलाई परमप्रभुले पृथ्वीभरि घुमफिर गर्नको निम्ति पठाउनुभएको छ ।”
11 Then responded they to the messenger of Yahweh, who was standing among the myrtle-trees, and said, We have gone to and fro through the earth, —and lo! all the earth, resteth and is quiet.
असारे-फूलका रूखहरूकाबिचमा बसेका परमप्रभुका स्वर्गदूतलाई तिनीहरूले यस्तो जवाफ दिए, “हामी सारा पृथ्वीभरि धुमिरहेका छौँ । हेर्नुहोस्, सारा पृथ्वी शान्त र आराम गरिरहेको छ ।”
12 Then the messenger of Yahweh responded, and said, O Yahweh of hosts! How long wilt, thou, not have compassion upon Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, —against which thou hast had indignation these seventy years?
अनि परमप्रभुका स्वर्गदूतले यस्तो जवाफ दिए, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु, यरूशलेम र यहूदाका सहरहरूप्रति तपाईंले कहिलेसम्म दया देखाउनुहुनेछैन, जससँग तपाईं सत्तरी वर्षदेखि रिसाउनुभएको छ?”
13 And Yahweh answered the messenger who was speaking with me, in words that were pleasant, —words that were consoling,
मसँग कुरा गरेका स्वर्गदूतसँग परमप्रभुले असल शब्दहरू, सान्त्वनाका शब्दहरूमा बोल्नुभयो ।
14 Then the messenger who was speaking with me, said unto me, Proclaim thou, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I am jealous for Jerusalem, and for Zion, with a great jealousy;
यसैकारण मसँग कुरा गरेका स्वर्गदूतले मलाई भने, “उच्च सोरमा भन, ‘सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: म यरूशलेम र सियोनको निम्ति अत्यन्तै डाही भएको छु!
15 And, with a great displeasure, am I displeased with the careless nations, —in that, when, I, was displeased (for) a little, then, they, helped forward the calamity,
सुख-चैनमा बसिरहेका जातिहरूसँग म धेरै रिसाएको छु । जब म तिनीहरूसँग थोरै मात्र रिसाएको थिएँ, तिनीहरूले विपत्तिलाई झन् खराब बनाइदिए ।
16 Wherefore, Thus, saith Yahweh, I have returned to Jerusalem, with compassions, My house, shall be built therein, declareth Yahweh of hosts, and, a line, shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem.
यसकारण सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: म यरूशलेममा दयासाथ फर्केको छु । मेरो भवन त्यसभित्र निर्माण हुनेछ र यरूशलेममाथि नाप्ने डोरी तन्काइनेछ, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।’
17 Further, proclaim thou, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet, shall my cities overflow with blessing! So will Yahweh yet, have compassion, upon Zion, and yet make choice of Jerusalem.
उच्च सोरमा फेरि यस्तो भन, ‘सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: मेरा सहरहरू फेरि असल कुराहरूले भरिएर पोखिनेछ, र परमप्रभुले फेरि सियोनलाई सान्त्वना दिनुहुनेछ र उहाँले फेरी यरूशलेमलाई चुन्नुहुनेछ ।’”
18 Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, —and lo! Four Horns.
अनि मैले आफ्ना आँखाहरू माथि उठाएँ र चारओटा सीङ देखें!
19 And I said unto the messenger who was speaking with me, What are these? And he said unto me, These, are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
मसँग बोलिरहेका स्वर्गदूतसँग म बोलें, “यी के हुन्?” उनले जवाफ दिए, “यी ती सीङहरू हुन् जसले यहूदा, इस्राएल, र यरूशलेमलाई तितर-बितर पारे ।”
20 Then Yahweh shewed me Four Craftsmen.
अनि परमप्रभुले मलाई चार जना कारीगरहरु देखाउनुभयो ।
21 And I said, What are these coming in to do? And he spake, saying, These, are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head, but these [others] have come in to put them in fear, to cast down the horns of the nations, the which have lifted up the horn against the land of Judah to scatter her.
मैले भनें, “यी मानिसहरू के गर्न आएका हुन्?” उनले जवाफ दिए, “यी ती सीङहरू हुन् जसले यहूदालाई तितर-बितर पारे ताकि कोही मानिसले पनि आफ्नो शिर उठाउन नसकोस् । तर ती कारीगरहरु तिनीहरूलाई त्रासित गर्न, र यहूदालाई तितर-बितर गर्नको निम्ति त्यसको विरुद्ध सीङ उठाएका जातिहरूका सीङहरूलाई पराजित गर्न आएका हुन् ।”
