Titus 2
1 But do, thou, speak the things which become the healthful instruction: —
Tu, porém, falla o que convém á sã doutrina:
2 That, aged men, be, sober, grave, sober-minded, healthy in their faith, love, endurance;
Aos velhos, que sejam sobrios, graves, prudentes, sãos na fé, na caridade, e na paciencia;
3 Aged women, in the same way, in deportment, as becometh sacred persons, not given to intrigue, nor yet, to much wine, enslaved, teachers of virtue, —
Ás velhas, similhantemente, que sejam sérias no seu viver, como convém a sanctas, não calumniadoras, não dadas a muito vinho, mestras no bem;
4 That they may constrain the young women to be, lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children,
Para que ensinem as moças a serem prudentes, a amarem seus maridos, a amarem seus filhos,
5 soberminded, chaste, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands, —that, the word of God, be not defamed;
A serem moderadas, castas, boas caseiras, sujeitas a seus maridos; para que a palavra de Deus não seja blasphemada.
6 The younger men, in the same way, exhort thou to be sober-minded:
Exhorta similhantemente os mancebos a que sejam moderados.
7 In all things, shewing, thyself, an ensample of noble works, —in thine instruction, uncorruptness, gravity,
Em tudo te dá por exemplo de boas obras; na doutrina mostra incorrupção, gravidade, sinceridade,
8 healthful discourse that cannot be condemned, in order that, he that is of the contrary part, may relent, having nothing to say concerning us that is disparaging:
Palavra sã e irreprehensivel, para que o adversario se envergonhe, não tendo nenhum mal que dizer de nós.
9 Servants, unto their own masters, to be submitting themselves in all things, to be, well-pleasing, not gainsaying,
Exhorta os servos a que se sujeitem a seus senhores, e em tudo agradem, não contradizendo,
10 not taking anything away, shewing, all good faith, —that, the instruction which is of our Saviour God, they may adorn in all things.
Não defraudando, antes mostrando toda a boa lealdade, para que em tudo adornem a doutrina de Deus, nosso Salvador.
11 For the favour of God, bringing salvation for all men, hath shone forth,
Porque a graça de Deus se ha manifestado, trazendo salvação a todos os homens,
12 Putting us under discipline—in order that, —denying ourselves of ungodliness and worldly covetings, in a soberminded and righteous and godly manner, we should live, in the present age, (aiōn g165)
Ensinando-nos que, renunciando á impiedade e ás concupiscencias mundanas, vivamos n'este presente seculo sobria, e justa, e piamente, (aiōn g165)
13 Prepared to welcome the happy hope and forthshining of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus, —
Aguardando a bemaventurada esperança e o apparecimento da gloria do grande Deus e nosso Senhor Jesus Christo;
14 Who gave himself up in our behalf, that he might redeem us from all manner of lawlessness, and purify for himself a people as his own treasure—zealous of noble works.
O qual se deu a si mesmo por nós para nos remir de toda a iniquidade, e purificar para si mesmo um povo particular, zeloso de boas obras.
15 As to these things, be speaking and exhorting and reproving, with all manner of precept: let, no one, disregard thee!
Falla d'isto, e exhorta e reprehende com toda a auctoridade. Ninguem te despreze.
