Titus 2
1 But do, thou, speak the things which become the healthful instruction: —
তীত, তুমি লোকদের অভ্রান্ত শাস্ত্রশিক্ষা দাও।
2 That, aged men, be, sober, grave, sober-minded, healthy in their faith, love, endurance;
বয়স্ক ব্যক্তিদের মিতাচারী, শ্রদ্ধেয়, আত্মসংযমী হতে এবং বিশ্বাস, প্রেম ও ধৈর্যে মজবুত হতে শিক্ষা দাও।
3 Aged women, in the same way, in deportment, as becometh sacred persons, not given to intrigue, nor yet, to much wine, enslaved, teachers of virtue, —
সেভাবে, বয়স্ক মহিলাদেরও শিক্ষা দাও, যেন তাঁরা সম্ভ্রমের সঙ্গে জীবনযাপন করেন, যেন পরচর্চায় মত্ত বা মদ্যপানে আসক্ত না হয়ে পড়েন। কিন্তু যা কিছু মঙ্গলজনক, তাঁরা যেন সেই শিক্ষা দেন।
4 That they may constrain the young women to be, lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children,
তাহলেই তাঁরা তরুণীদের শিক্ষা দিতে পারবেন, যেন তারা তাদের স্বামী ও সন্তানদের ভালোবাসতে পারে;
5 soberminded, chaste, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands, —that, the word of God, be not defamed;
যেন তারা সংযত, শুদ্ধচিত্ত, ঘরের কাজে ব্যস্ত, সদয় ও নিজের নিজের স্বামীর বশ্যতাধীন হয়, যেন কেউ ঈশ্বরের বাক্যের নিন্দা করতে না পারে।
6 The younger men, in the same way, exhort thou to be sober-minded:
একইভাবে, আত্মসংযমী হওয়ার জন্য তরুণদের অনুপ্রাণিত করো।
7 In all things, shewing, thyself, an ensample of noble works, —in thine instruction, uncorruptness, gravity,
সৎকর্মের দ্বারা প্রত্যেক বিষয়ে তাদের সামনে আদর্শ স্থাপন করো। শিক্ষাদানকালে তুমি সততা এবং আন্তরিকতা দেখাও,
8 healthful discourse that cannot be condemned, in order that, he that is of the contrary part, may relent, having nothing to say concerning us that is disparaging:
আর তোমার কথা এমন সারগর্ভ হোক যেন কেউ তা অগ্রাহ্য করতে না পারে, যারা তোমার বিরোধিতা করে তারা যেন লজ্জিত হয়, কারণ আমাদের বিষয়ে তাদের খারাপ কিছুই বলার নেই।
9 Servants, unto their own masters, to be submitting themselves in all things, to be, well-pleasing, not gainsaying,
ক্রীতদাসদের শেখাও, তারা যেন সব বিষয়ে তাদের মনিবদের অনুগত হয়, তাদের সন্তুষ্ট করার চেষ্টা করে, তাদের কথার প্রতিবাদ না করে;
10 not taking anything away, shewing, all good faith, —that, the instruction which is of our Saviour God, they may adorn in all things.
তাদের কিছু চুরি না করে, বরং তারা যেন নিজেদের সম্পূর্ণ বিশ্বস্ত দেখায়; আমাদের পরিত্রাতা ঈশ্বর সম্বন্ধীয় শিক্ষাকে তারা যেন সর্বতোভাবে আকর্ষণীয় করে তোলে।
11 For the favour of God, bringing salvation for all men, hath shone forth,
কারণ ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে, তা সব মানুষের কাছে পরিত্রাণ নিয়ে আসে।
12 Putting us under discipline—in order that, —denying ourselves of ungodliness and worldly covetings, in a soberminded and righteous and godly manner, we should live, in the present age, (aiōn g165)
এই অনুগ্রহ অভক্তি এবং সাংসারিক অভিলাষকে উপেক্ষা করতে এবং এই বর্তমান যুগে আত্মসংযমী, সৎ ও ভক্তিপূর্ণ জীবনযাপন করতে আমাদের শিক্ষা দেয়, (aiōn g165)
13 Prepared to welcome the happy hope and forthshining of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus, —
যখন আমরা সেই পরমধন্য আশা নিয়ে, আমাদের মহান ঈশ্বর ও পরিত্রাতা যীশু খ্রীষ্টের মহিমাময় প্রকাশের প্রতীক্ষায় আছি,
14 Who gave himself up in our behalf, that he might redeem us from all manner of lawlessness, and purify for himself a people as his own treasure—zealous of noble works.
যিনি আমাদের জন্য নিজেকে দান করেছেন, যেন সব দুষ্টতা থেকে আমাদের মুক্ত করেন এবং নিজের জন্য এক জাতিকে, যারা তাঁর একান্তই আপন, তাদের শুচিশুদ্ধ করেন, যেন তারা সৎকর্মে আগ্রহী হয়।
15 As to these things, be speaking and exhorting and reproving, with all manner of precept: let, no one, disregard thee!
তাহলে এই বিষয়গুলি তুমি শিক্ষা দাও, পূর্ণ কর্তৃত্বের সঙ্গে তুমি তাদের উৎসাহ দাও ও তিরস্কার করো। কেউ যেন তোমাকে অবজ্ঞা না করে।
