< Romans 7 >

1 Or are ye ignorant, brethren, —for unto them that understand the law am I speaking, that, the law, hath lordship over a men as long as he liveth?
Toronoo nggara e! Ia naa, au olaꞌ soaꞌ neu hei mana mihine hukun hohoro-lalane nara.
2 For, the married woman, unto her living husband is bound by law; but, if her husband have died, she hath received a full release from the law of her husband.
Au fee conto mia hohoro-lalaneꞌ soaꞌ neu mana masaoꞌ ra. Mete ma inaꞌ esa sao nala saon, tungga hukun hohoro-lalaneꞌ a, na, ruꞌa se esa saon esa losa mate. Te mete ma touꞌ a mate, na, ina falu naa nda nenefutu-paꞌaꞌ no hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa sa ena. De ana bisa sao seluꞌ.
3 Hence then, her husband being alive, an adulteress, shall she be called—if she become another man’s, but, if the husband have died, she is free from the law; so that she is not an adulteress, though she become another man’s.
Eni nenemboꞌit ena.
4 So, then, my brethren, ye also, were made dead unto the law through the body of the Christ, to the end ye might become another’s—his who from among the dead was raised, in order that we might bring forth fruit unto God.
Onaꞌ naa boe hei mana mamahereꞌ ra! Taꞌo ia: Kristus mate ena. Naa o onaꞌ hei mate mo E, ma lao hela masodꞌa mbara mara ena. Ia naa hei nenemboꞌit mia hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa ra ena, ma hei nenefutu-paꞌaꞌ mo Kristus, mana masodꞌa baliꞌ mia mamaten. Naa onaꞌ ina falu mana sao seluꞌ a. Nda masala sa. De ia naa, basa saa fo hei taoꞌ naa, fee neu Lamatuaꞌ.
5 For, when we were in the flesh, the susceptibilities of sins which were through the law, used to be energized in our members unto the bringing forth of fruit unto death;
Maꞌahulun, hita tao tunggaꞌ a ao sisiꞌ tara hihii-nanaun. Huu tahine hohoro-lalaneꞌ a, naa mana tao nggita hiiꞌ a talena-langga neu hohoro-lalaneꞌ ra, fo taoꞌ dꞌala nda matetuꞌ ra sa. Naa! Hita salan naa, mana tao Lamatualain hiruꞌ nasadꞌea nggita.
6 But, now, we have received full release from the law, by dying [in that] wherein we used to be held fast, so that we should be doing service—in newness of spirit and not in obsoleteness of letter.
Feꞌesaꞌan, hita musi tao tungga hohoro-lalaneꞌ ra. Te ia naa hohoro-lalaneꞌ ra nda dai hita sa ena, huu hita mboꞌi hendi masodꞌa mbaraaꞌ tara ena. Tungga dꞌala mbaraaꞌ hihii-nanaun, na, Musa hohoro-lalanen mana nenesuraꞌ sia Susura Meumareꞌ a, futu-paꞌa nggita. Te tungga dꞌala feuꞌ a hihii-nanaun, hita nenemboꞌit mia hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa. Huu Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen mana nalalao nggita! Naa de, ia naa, hita tao ues fee neuꞌ a Lamatuaꞌ.
7 What, then, shall we say? Is the law sin? Far be it! On the contrary, I had not discovered, sin, save through law, for even, of coveting, I had not been aware if, the law, had not kept on saying—Thou shall not covet;
Dadꞌi hita tae saa fai? Mbei ma hei duꞌa mae, “Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee Musa naa, sala!” Hokoꞌ! Huu mete ma au nda uhine hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa sa, neꞌo au o nda uhine dꞌala-dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala ngga sa. Conto onaꞌ a, hambu hohoro-lalaneꞌ oi, “Afi hii mae haꞌi mala atahori sudꞌiꞌ a saan.”
8 Howbeit sin taking, occasion—through the commandment, wrought out in me all manner of coveting; for, apart from law, sin is dead; —
Te, huu hambu hohoro-lalaneꞌ mana nafadꞌe taꞌo naa, naa onaꞌ dꞌala-dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ sia rala ngga tao fee au hii ae haꞌi ala atahori sudꞌiꞌ a saa nara mataꞌ-mataꞌ.
9 And, I, was alive, apart from law, at one time, but, the commandment coming, sin sprang up to life,
Mia masodꞌa dalahulu ngga, au nda uhine matetuꞌ dalaꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen sa. Dꞌodꞌoo, dei de au feꞌe uhine matetuꞌ ena. Naa de au feꞌe uhine ae, au ulena-langga Hohoro-lalaneꞌ a ma tao sala-kiluꞌ. Ma sala-kiluꞌ a hahambun, naeni au musi mate.
10 Whereas, I, died, —and the commandment which was unto life was found by me to be, itself, unto death;
Tao-tao te, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ sia fo bisa tao atahori rasodꞌa no ndoo-tetuꞌ. Te soaꞌ neu au, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, tao nalutu au, ma tao Lamatuaꞌ hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au.
11 For, sin, —taking occasion—through the commandment, completely deceived me and, through it, slew me:
Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, memaꞌ natudꞌu dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ.
12 So that, the law, indeed, is holy, and the commandment, holy, and righteous and good.
Dadꞌi mete ma faaꞌ ra atahori oi, “Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee neu Musa naa, sala,” na, au utaa ae, “Hokoꞌ! Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen naa, meumareꞌ” Boe ma basa parendaꞌ mana sia Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, meumareꞌ, ndoo-tetuꞌ, ma maloleꞌ.
13 Did, then, that which is good, unto me become death? Far be it! But [it was] sin, that it might appear sin, through that which was good unto me working out death, in order that, exceeding sinful, might sin become through the commandment.
Mbei ma hei o duꞌa mae, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa mana tao Lamatuaꞌ hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au, to? Hokoꞌ! Hohoro-lalaneꞌ memaꞌ maloleꞌ, huu ana natudꞌu dꞌala-dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ, mana tao nggita saranggaa to Lamatualain. Dadꞌi leleꞌ Lamatuaꞌ natudꞌu dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ, Hohoro lalaneꞌ naa mana tao manggarelo nae, dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala tara naa, nda maloleꞌ sa.
14 For we know that, the law, is spiritual, —I, however, am a creature of flesh, sold under sin;
Hita bubꞌuluꞌ tae, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee neu baꞌi Musa, naa laoꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen. Naa onaꞌ salaꞌ a dadꞌi neu malangga ngga, ma au dadꞌi uu salaꞌ a aten.
15 For, that which I am working out, I do not approve, —for not, what I wish, the same I practise, but, what I hate, the same I do:
Au nda itaꞌ ae duꞌa taꞌo bee sa ena boe. Au nda uhine saa fo au taoꞌ a sa boe. Huu au nda tao tungga saa maloleꞌ fo au nau taoꞌ a sa. Te au tao tungga saa fo au nda nau taoꞌ a sa.
16 Now, if what I wish not the same I do, I consent unto the law that [it is] right.
17 Now, however, no longer am, I, working it out, but the, sin, that dwelleth in me:
Dadꞌi au nda mana ulalao ao ngga sa. Te deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala ngga nalalao au!
18 I know, in fact, that there dwelleth not in me, that is, in my flesh, anything good; for, the wishing, lieth near me, but, the working out of what is right, not!
Au bubꞌuluꞌ ena ae, nda hambu dꞌala maloleꞌ nasodꞌa sia rala ngga sa. Huu au ia, atahori rala deꞌulakaꞌ. Nau do nda nau sa o, au nda bisa uꞌususuuꞌ ao ngga fo tao ndoo-tetuꞌ sa. Au nau, te nda dadꞌi tao sa!
19 For not, the good that I wish, I do, but, the evil that I do not wish, the same I practise.
Au hii ae tao maloleꞌ, te au nda tao sa. Ma au nda nau tao deꞌulakaꞌ sa, te au tao ukundooꞌ a!
20 Now, if what I wish not, the same, I do, no longer am, I, working it out, but the, sin, that dwelleth in me.
Naa!
21 Hence, I find the law, to me who wish to be doing the right, that, unto me, the wrong lieth near:
Naa natudꞌu dudꞌuꞌat sa, taꞌo ia: mae au ae tao maloleꞌ, te hambu deꞌulakaꞌ sia rala ngga labꞌan.
22 I have, in fact, a sympathetic pleasure in the law of God; according to the inner man.
23 But I behold a diverse law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and taking me captive in the law of sin which existeth in my members: —
24 Wretched, man am, I! Who shall rescue me out of this body doomed to death?
Aduu, kasian, e! Au atahori mana doidꞌosoꞌ! See bisa fee masodꞌaꞌ neu au mia koasa deꞌulakaꞌ mana nasodꞌa sia rala ngga, mana tao Lamatuaꞌ melumudꞌu au losa Ana hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au?
25 [But] thanks be unto God!—Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Hence, then, —I myself, with the mind, indeed, am in servitude unto a law of God; but; with the flesh; unto a law of sin.
Te, awii! Lamatualain mesaꞌ ne soi dalaꞌ fo mboꞌi au! Makasi nae-naeꞌ soaꞌ neu E, huu hita Lamatuan Yesus Kristus bisa fee masoi-masodꞌaꞌ neu au! Dadꞌi mete ma au usodꞌa umuhena neuꞌ a ao ngga, au doidꞌoso. Mae au hii ae tao tungga basa Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalane nara, te hambu deꞌulakaꞌ sia rala ngga kokoe au fo tao salaꞌ ukundooꞌ a.
