Romans 2
1 Wherefore, inexcusable, thou art, O man, whoever judgest; for, wherein thou judgest some one else, thyself, thou dost condemn, —for, the very things, thou dost practise, who art judging:
Por lo cual eres inexcusable, oh hombre, cualquiera que juzgas; porque en lo mismo que juzgas al otro, te condenas a ti mismo; porque lo mismo haces tú que juzgas a los otros.
2 We know, however, that, the sentence of God, is according to truth against them who, such things as these, do practise.
Porque sabemos que el juicio de Dios es según verdad contra los que hacen tales cosas.
3 And reckonest thou this, O man—who dost judge them who such things do practise, and yet art doing the same, that, thou, shalt escape the sentence of God?
¿Y piensas esto, oh hombre, que juzgas a los que hacen tales cosas, haciendo las mismas, que tú escaparás el juicio de Dios?
4 Or, the riches of his kindness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, dost thou despise, —not knowing that, the kindness of God, unto repentance, is leading thee?
¿O menosprecias las riquezas de su benignidad, y paciencia, y longanimidad: ignorando que la benignidad de Dios te guia a arrepentimiento?
5 But, according to thy hardness, and [thine] impenitent heart, art treasuring up for thyself anger, in a day of anger and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, —
Antes, según tu dureza, y tu corazón impenitente, atesoras para ti mismo ira para el día de la ira, y de la manifestación del justo juicio de Dios;
6 Who will render unto each one according to his works: —
El cual pagará a cada uno conforme a sus obras:
7 Unto them, on the one hand, who, by way of endurance in good work, are seeking, glory, honour and incorruption, life age-abiding, (aiōnios g166)
A los que perseverando en bien hacer, buscan gloria, y honra, e inmortalidad, dará la vida eterna; (aiōnios g166)
8 Unto them, on the other hand, who are of contention, and are not yielding unto the truth, but are yielding unto unrighteousness, anger and wrath,
Mas a los que son contenciosos, y que no obedecen a la verdad, antes obedecen a la injusticia, enojo, e ira.
9 tribulation and anguish—against every soul of man who worketh out what is base, both of Jew first and of Greek, —
Tribulación y angustia sobre toda alma de hombre que obra lo malo, del Judío primeramente, y también del Griego;
10 But glory and honour and peace—unto every one who worketh what is good, both unto Jew first and unto Greek:
Mas gloria, y honra, y paz a todo aquel que obra el bien, al Judío primeramente, y también al Griego:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God; —
Porque no hay acepción de personas para con Dios.
12 For, as many as without law sinned, without law, also shall perish, and, as many as within law sinned, through law, shall be judged;
Porque todos los que sin ley pecaron, sin ley también perecerán; y todos los que en la ley pecaron, por la ley serán juzgados.
13 For, not the hearers of law, are righteous with God, but, the doers of law, shall be declared righteous;
Porque no los que oyen la ley son justos delante de Dios, mas los hacedores de la ley serán justificados.
14 For, whensoever the nations which have not law, by nature, the things of the law, may be doing, the same, not having law, unto themselves, are a law, —
Porque cuando los Gentiles que no tienen la ley, hacen naturalmente las cosas de la ley, los tales aunque no tengan la ley, a sí mismos son ley:
15 Who, indeed, shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience therewith bearing witness, and, between one another, their reasonings accusing—or, even excusing, them: —
Mostrando la obra de la ley escrita en sus corazones, dando testimonio juntamente sus conciencias; y acusándose mientras tanto, o también excusándose sus pensamientos, unos con otros,
16 In the day on which God judgeth the secrets of men according to my glad-message through Christ Jesus.
En el día que juzgará el Señor los secretos de los hombres conforme a mi evangelio, por Jesu Cristo.
17 If, however, thou, art taking the name of Jew, and resting thyself upon law, and boasting in God,
He aquí, tú te llamas por sobrenombre Judío, y estás reposado en la ley, y te glorías en Dios,
18 And art taking note of his will, and testing the things that differ—when receiving oral instruction out of the law,
Y sabes su voluntad, y apruebas lo mejor, siendo instruido por la ley;
19 Art persuaded, moreover, that, thou thyself, art—a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
Y te jactas de que tú mismo eres guía de los ciegos, luz de los que están en tinieblas,
20 A trainer of the simple, a teacher of babes, having the forming of knowledge and truth in the law, —
Enseñador de los que no saben, maestro de niños, que tienes la forma de la ciencia y de la verdad en la ley.
21 Thou, therefore, that art teaching someone else, thyself, art thou not teaching? Thou that proclaimest—Do not steal! Art thou, stealing?
Tú, pues, que enseñas a otro, ¿no te enseñas a ti mismo? Tú que predicas que no se ha de hurtar, ¿hurtas?
22 That sayest—Do not commit adultery! Art thou, committing adultery? That abhorrest sacrilege, Art thou, robbing temples?
Tú que dices que no se ha de adulterar, ¿adulteras? Tú que abominas los ídolos, ¿haces sacrilegio?
23 That in law dost boast, Through the transgression of the law, art thou dishonouring God?
Tú que te jactas de la ley, ¿por transgresión de la ley deshonras a Dios?
24 For the name of God, because of you, is defamed among the nations, —even as it is written.
Porque el nombre de Dios es blasfemado por causa de vosotros entre los Gentiles, como está escrito.
25 For, circumcision, indeed, profiteth—if, law, thou be practising; but, if thou be a transgressor of law, thy circumcision, hath become, uncircumcision
Porque la circuncisión a la verdad aprovecha, si guardares la ley; mas si eres rebelde a la ley, tu circuncisión es hecha incircuncisión.
26 If then, the uncircumcision, be guarding the righteous requirement of the law, shall not, his uncircumcision, as circumcision be reckoned?—
De manera que si el incircunciso guardare las justicias de la ley, ¿no será tenida su incircuncisión por circuncisión?
27 And the uncircumcision by nature, completing the law, shall judge, thee, who, notwithstanding letter and circumcision, art a transgressor of law!
Y lo que de su natural es incircunciso, si guardare la ley, ¿no te juzgará a ti, que por la letra y por la circuncisión eres rebelde a la ley?
28 For, not he who is one in appearance, is a Jew, nor is, that which is such in appearance in flesh, circumcision;
Porque no es Judío el que lo es por de fuera, ni es la circuncisión la que es por de fuera, en la carne;
29 But, he who is one in secret, is a Jew, —and, [that is], circumcision, which is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, —whose, praise, is not of men, but of God.
Mas el que lo es por de dentro Judío es; y la circuncisión es la del corazón, en el espíritu, no en la letra: la alabanza del cual no es de los hombres, sino de Dios.
