< Romans 10 >

1 Brethren! the delight of my own heart and my supplication God-ward in their behalf, are for salvation;
Abooluganda, kye njagala mu mutima gwange era kye nsabira Abayisirayiri eri Katonda, kwe kulokolebwa.
2 For I bear them witness that they have, a zeal for God, —but not according to correct knowledge;
Kubanga nkakasa nga balina obunyiikivu eri Katonda, naye si mu kutegeera.
3 For, not knowing God’s righteousness and, their own, seeking to establish, unto the righteousness of God, have they not submitted;
Mu butamanya butuukirivu bwa Katonda, bagezaako okwenoonyeza obutuukirivu, nga bagondera amateeka mu kifo ky’okugondera obutuukirivu bwa Katonda.
4 For Christ is an end of law, for righteousness, unto every one that believeth.
Kristo atuwa amakulu amajjuvu, buli amukkiriza n’amuwa obutuukirivu.
5 For, Moses, writeth that—as touching the righteousness that is by law, The man that hath done [it], shall live thereby;
Musa awandiika ku butuukirivu obuva mu mateeka nti, “Omuntu alikola ebintu ebyo aliba mulamu mu byo.”
6 Whereas, the righteousness by faith, thus speaketh—Do not say in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? That is, to bring, Christ, down,
Naye okukkiriza okuva mu butuukirivu, kugamba nti, “Toyogeranga mu mutima gwo nti, ‘Ani alirinnya mu ggulu?’ (kwe kuggya Kristo mu ggulu)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the abyss? That is, to bring up, Christ, from among the dead; (Abyssos g12)
newaakubadde okugamba nti, ‘Ani alikka emagombe?’ (kwe kuggya Kristo mu bafu.)” (Abyssos g12)
8 But what saith it? Near thee, is the declaration, In thy mouth and in thy heart, —that is, the declaration of the faith, which we proclaim: —
Abo bonna abalina okukkiriza mu Kristo bagamba nti, “Ekigambo kiri kumpi naawe, kiri mu kamwa ko era kiri mu mutima gwo,” kye kigambo eky’okukkiriza kye tubuulira.
9 That, if thou shalt confess the declaration with thy mouth—That Jesus is, Lord, and shalt believe with thy hear—That, God, raised him from among the dead, thou shalt be saved; —
Bw’oyatula n’akamwa ko nti, Yesu ye Mukama, n’okkiriza n’omutima gwo nga Katonda yamuzuukiza mu bafu, olokoka.
10 For, in heart, it is to be believed unto righteousness, and, by mouth, it is to be confessed unto salvation.
Kubanga omuntu akkiriza na mutima gwe n’aweebwa obutuukirivu, era ayatula na kamwa ke n’alokoka.
11 For the scripture saith—No one that resteth faith thereupon, shall be put to shame?
Kubanga Ebyawandiikibwa bigamba nti, “Buli amukkiriza taliswazibwa.”
12 For there is no distinction—of Jew or Greek, —for, the same [Lord], is Lord of all, being rich unto all who call upon him;
Tewali njawulo wakati wa Muyudaaya na Muyonaani, kubanga Mukama waabwe y’omu era ayanukula abo bonna abamukoowoola.
13 For, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved: —
Buli alikoowoola erinnya lya Mukama alirokoka.
14 How, then, shall men call upon one in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in one of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without one to proclaim?
Kale balikoowoola batya oyo gwe batakkiririzaamu? Era balikkiriza batya oyo gwe batawulirangako? Era baliwulira batya awatali abuulira?
15 And how shall they proclaim, except they be sent? Even as it is written—How beautiful the feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things!
Era balibuulira batya nga tebatumiddwa? Ekyawandiikibwa nga bwe kigamba nti, “Ebigere by’abo abategeeza amawulire amalungi, nga birungi.”
16 But, not all, have become obedient unto the glad tidings; —for, Isaiah, saith—Lord! who believed what we have heard?
Naye si bonna abaagondera Enjiri. Isaaya agamba nti, “Mukama, waliwo akkirizza obubaka bwaffe?”
17 Hence, our faith, cometh by something heard, and, that which is heard, through a declaration of Christ.
Noolwekyo okukkiriza kujja olw’okuwulira ekigambo kya Kristo.
18 But I say: Have they not heard? Yea indeed, —into all the earth, hath gone forth their sound, and, unto the ends of the inhabited world, their declarations.
Naye mulowooza Abayisirayiri tebaawulira? Weewaawo baawulira. Ebyawandiikibwa bigamba nti, “Eddoboozi lyabwe lyabuna mu nsi zonna, n’ebigambo byabwe byatuuka ku nkomerero z’ensi.”
19 But I say: Hath, Israel, not come to know? First, Moses, saith—I, will provoke you to jealousy on account of a no-nation, on account of an undiscerning nation, will I make you very angry.
Abayisirayiri baabitegeera oba tebaabitegeera? Bw’ati Musa bw’addamu ekibuuzo ekyo: “Ndibaleetera okukwatirwa obuggya abatali ggwanga, ne mbasunguwaza olw’eggwanga eritalina kutegeera.”
20 Isaiah, however, waxeth daring, and saith, —I have been found by them who after me were not seeking, manifest have I become unto them who for me were not enquiring;
Ne Isaaya yali muvumu bwe yagamba nti, “Nazuulibwa abo abatannoonya, ne ndabika eri abo abatambuulirizaako.”
21 Whereas, regarding Israel, he saith—All day long, have I stretched forth my hands unto a people unyielding and contradicting.
Naye eri Isirayiri agamba nti, “Olunaku lwonna nalumala nga ngolodde emikono gyange eri eggwanga ekkakanyavu era abantu abeewaggula.”
