< Revelation 5 >

1 And I saw, upon the right hand of him that was sitting upon the throne, a scroll; written within, and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.
I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed shut with seven seals.
2 And I saw a mighty messenger, proclaiming with a loud voice—Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to unloose the seals thereof?
I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to break its seals?"
3 And, no one, was able, in heaven, or on earth, or under the earth, to open the scroll, or, to look thereon.
No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the scroll, or to look in it.
4 And, I, began to weep much, because, no one, worthy, was found, to open the scroll, or, to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll, or to look in it.
5 And, one of the elders, saith unto me—Do not weep! Lo! the lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath overcome, to open the scroll and the seven seals thereof.
One of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Look, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that he can open the scroll and loose its seven seals."
6 And I saw, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb, standing, showing that it had been slain, —having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the [seven] Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Ruachs of God, sent out into all the earth.
7 And he came, and at once took [it] out of the right hand of him that was sitting upon the throne.
Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
8 And, when he took the scroll, the four living creatures, and the four-and-twenty elders, fell down before the Lamb, having, each one, a harp, and bowls of gold full of incense, —which are the prayers of the saints;
Now when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the kadoshim.
9 and they sing a new song, saying—Worthy, art thou, to take the scroll and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and didst redeem unto God by thy blood [men] out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,
They sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals: for you were killed, and redeemed for God with your blood those from every tribe, language, people, and nation,
10 And didst make them, unto our God, a kingdom and priests, —and they reign on the earth.
and made them a kingdom and cohanim to our God, and they will reign on earth."
11 And I saw, and heard a voice of many messengers, round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders, —and the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands—
I saw, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands;
12 saying with a loud voice—Worthy, is the Lamb that hath been slain, to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing."
13 And, every created thing which was in heaven, and upon the earth, and under the earth, and upon the sea, and, all the things in them, heard I, saying—Unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, unto the ages of ages! (aiōn g165)
I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever." (aiōn g165)
14 And the four living creatures continued saying—Amen! And, the elders, fell down and did homage.
The four living creatures were saying, "Amen." The elders fell down and worshiped.
