< Psalms 99 >

1 Yahweh, hath become king, Let the peoples, tremble, He is enthroned on the cherubim, Let the earth, shake.
Adonai reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved.
2 Yahweh, in Zion, is great, And, high, is he over all the peoples.
Adonai is great in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]. He is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them thank his Name—great and reverend, Holy, is he!
Let them yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your great and awesome name. He is Holy!
4 Yea, with the strength of a king—justice, he loveth, —Thou, hast established equity, Justice and righteousness in Jacob, thou, hast wrought.
The King’s strength also 'ahav ·affectionately loves· mishpat ·justice·. You do establish equity. You execute mishpat ·justice· and righteousness in Jacob [Supplanter].
5 Exalt Yahweh our God, And bow down at his footstool, Holy, is he!
Exalt Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his footstool. He is Holy!
6 Moses and Aaron, [were] among his priests, And, Samuel, [was] among them who were calling upon his Name, Who were calling upon Yahweh, and, he, used to answer them:
Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Adonai, and he answered them.
7 In the pillar of cloud, used he to speak unto them, They kept his testimonies, and the statute he gave them.
He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.
8 O Yahweh our God! thou, answeredst them, —A pardoning GOD, thou becamest to them, Yet one bringing vengeance on their deeds.
You answered them, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.
9 Exalt Yahweh our God, And bow down towards his holy mountain, For, holy, is Yahweh our God.
Exalt Adonai, our God. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his holy hill, for Adonai, our God, is holy!
