< Psalms 92 >
1 A Melody, a Song, For the Sabbath-day. It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, And to sing praises unto thy Name, O Most High;
A Psalme or song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing vnto thy Name, O most High,
2 To declare, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, And thy faithfulness at night;
To declare thy louing kindenesse in the morning, and thy trueth in the night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon a harp, With resounding music on the lyre.
Vpon an instrument of tenne strings, and vpon the viole with the song vpon the harpe.
4 For thou hast made me glad, O Yahweh, in thy doing, In the works of thy hands, will I shout for joy.
For thou, Lord, hast made mee glad by thy workes, and I wil reioyce in the workes of thine handes.
5 How great have grown thy works, Yahweh, [How] very deep are laid thy plans!
O Lord, how glorious are thy workes! and thy thoughtes are very deepe.
6 A man that is brutish, cannot know, And, a dullard, cannot discern this: —
An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,
7 When the lawless do thrive like grass, And all the workers of iniquity have blossomed, It is that they may be destroyed for ever.
(When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.
8 But, thou, shalt be on high age-abidingly, O Yahweh.
But thou, O Lord, art most High for euermore.
9 For lo! thine enemies, Yahweh, For lo! thine enemies, shall perish, They shall be scattered—all the workers of iniquity;
For loe, thine enemies, O Lord: for loe, thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquitie shall be destroyed.
10 But thou wilt exalt, as [those of] the buffalo, my horn, I have been anointed, with fresh oil.
But thou shalt exalt mine horne, like the vnicornes, and I shalbe anoynted with fresh oyle.
11 So hath mine eye descried them who were lying in wait for me, —Of my wicked assailants, mine ears, shall hear.
Mine eye also shall see my desire against mine enemies: and mine eares shall heare my wish against the wicked, that rise vp against me.
12 The righteous, like the palm-tree, shall thrive, Like the cedar in Lebanon, shall he grow;
The righteous shall flourish like a palme tree, and shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.
13 They who are planted in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God, shall flourish;
Such as bee planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courtes of our God.
14 Still shall they bear fruit in old age, Vigorous and fresh, shall they be:
They shall still bring foorth fruite in their age: they shall be fat and flourishing,
15 To declare that upright is Yahweh, My Rock, and no perversity in him.
To declare that the Lord my rocke is righteous, and that none iniquitie is in him.
