Psalms 86
1 A Prayer. David’s. Bow down, O Yahweh, thine ear—answer me, For, oppressed and needy, am I;
Prière de David. Incline ton oreille. Seigneur, et exauce-moi; car je suis pauvre et nécessiteux.
2 O guard my life, For, a man of lovingkindness, am I, —Save thy servant, O thou my God, [Thy servant] who trusteth in thee;
Veille sur mon âme, car je suis saint; sauve, ô Dieu, ton serviteur qui espère en toi.
3 Show me favour, O My Lord, For, unto thee, do I cry, all the day;
Aie pitié de moi, Seigneur; car tout le jour j'ai crié vers toi.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant, For, unto thee, O My Lord, my soul, do I lift.
Réjouis l'âme de ton serviteur; car j'ai élevé, Seigneur, mon âme vers toi.
5 For, thou, O My Lord, art good and forgiving, And abundant in lovingkindness, to all who call upon thee.
Seigneur, tu es bienveillant et doux, et tes miséricordes sont abondantes envers ceux qui t'invoquent.
6 Give ear, O Yahweh, unto my prayer, And attend unto the voice of my supplications.
Seigneur, prête l'oreille à ma prière, et sois attentif à la voix de ma supplication.
7 In the day of my distress, will I call upon thee, For thou wilt answer me.
Au jour de mon affliction, j'ai crié vers toi, parce que tu m'as exaucé.
8 There is none like unto thee, among the gods, O My Lord, And nothing like thy works.
Nul n'est semblable à toi parmi les dieux, Seigneur, et nul n'a fait d'œuvres comme les tiennes.
9 All nations whom thou hast made, Shall come in and bow down before thee, O My Lord, That they may glorify thy Name.
Toutes les nations que tu as faites viendront, et se prosterneront devant toi, Seigneur; et elles glorifieront ton nom,
10 For great thou art, and doest wondrous things, Thou, O God, of thyself alone.
Parce que tu es grand, et que tu fais des merveilles; tu es le seul grand Dieu.
11 Point out to me, O Yahweh, thy way, I will walk steadfastly in thy truth, My heart will rejoice to revere thy Name.
Guide-moi. Seigneur, en ta voie, et je cheminerai en ta vérité; que mon cœur se réjouisse d'avoir craint ton nom.
12 I will give thee thanks, Adonay, my God, with all my heart, And will glorify thy Name unto times age-abiding.
Je te rends grâces, ô mon Dieu, de tout mon cœur, et je glorifierai ton nom éternellement.
13 For, thy lovingkindness, is great towards me, And thou hast rescued my soul from Hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Car ta miséricorde est grande envers moi, et tu as retiré mon âme du plus profond des enfers. (Sheol h7585)
14 O God, the insolent, have arisen against me, And, the assembly of tyrants, have sought my life, And have not set thee before them.
Dieu, les méchants se sont insurgés contre moi, et l'assemblée des puissants a cherché ma vie; et ils ne t'ont pas mis devant leurs yeux.
15 But, thou, O My Lord, art, A God of compassion and favour, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness a faithfulness.
Et toi, Seigneur, tu as été compatissant et miséricordieux, longanime, abondant en miséricorde et en vérité.
16 Turn thou unto me, and show me favour, —Give thy strength to thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.
Jette un regard sur moi, et aie pitié de moi; donne ta force à ton serviteur, et sauve le fils de ta servante.
17 Perform with me a token for good, —That they who hate me may see and be ashamed, In that, thou, Yahweh, hast helped me and comforted me.
Fais sur moi un signe favorable, et que ceux qui me haïssent le voient, et qu'ils soient confondus; car, Seigneur, tu es venu à mon secours, et tu m'as consolé.
