Psalms 86
1 A Prayer. David’s. Bow down, O Yahweh, thine ear—answer me, For, oppressed and needy, am I;
Davidin rukous. Kallista, Herra, korvas ja kuule minua; sillä minä olen raadollinen ja köyhä.
2 O guard my life, For, a man of lovingkindness, am I, —Save thy servant, O thou my God, [Thy servant] who trusteth in thee;
Kätke minun sieluni; sillä minä olen pyhä. Auta minua, minun Jumalani, palveliaas, joka sinuun luotan.
3 Show me favour, O My Lord, For, unto thee, do I cry, all the day;
Herra, ole minulle armollinen; sillä minä huudan ylipäivää sinua.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant, For, unto thee, O My Lord, my soul, do I lift.
Ilahuta palvelias sielu; sillä sinun tykös, Herra, minä ylennän sieluni.
5 For, thou, O My Lord, art good and forgiving, And abundant in lovingkindness, to all who call upon thee.
Sillä sinä, Herra, olet hyvä ja armollinen, sangen laupias kaikille, jotka sinua avuksensa huutavat.
6 Give ear, O Yahweh, unto my prayer, And attend unto the voice of my supplications.
Ota korviis, Herra, minun rukoukseni, ja ota vaari minun rukoukseni äänestä.
7 In the day of my distress, will I call upon thee, For thou wilt answer me.
Tuskassani minä sinua rukoilen, ettäs minun kuulisit.
8 There is none like unto thee, among the gods, O My Lord, And nothing like thy works.
Herra! ei ole yksikään jumalista sinun kaltaises, ja ei ole kenkään, joka niin tehdä taitaa kuin sinä.
9 All nations whom thou hast made, Shall come in and bow down before thee, O My Lord, That they may glorify thy Name.
Kaikki pakanat, jotka tehnyt olet, pitää tuleman ja kumartaman sinua, Herra, ja sinun nimeäs kunnioittaman,
10 For great thou art, and doest wondrous things, Thou, O God, of thyself alone.
Ettäs niin suuri olet, ja teet ihmeitä; ja sinä olet yksinäs Jumala.
11 Point out to me, O Yahweh, thy way, I will walk steadfastly in thy truth, My heart will rejoice to revere thy Name.
Osoita minulle, Herra, sinun ties, vaeltaakseni sinun totuudessas: kiinnitä minun sydämeni siihen yhteen, että minä sinun nimeäs pelkäisin.
12 I will give thee thanks, Adonay, my God, with all my heart, And will glorify thy Name unto times age-abiding.
Minä kiitän sinua, Herra minun Jumalani, kaikesta sydämestäni, ja kunnioitan sinun nimeäs ijankaikkisesti.
13 For, thy lovingkindness, is great towards me, And thou hast rescued my soul from Hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Sillä sinun hyvyytes on suuri minussa, ja sinä olet pelastanut sieluni syvimmästä helvetistä. (Sheol h7585)
14 O God, the insolent, have arisen against me, And, the assembly of tyrants, have sought my life, And have not set thee before them.
Jumala! ylpiät karkaavat minua vastaan, ja julmain joukot väijyvät minun sieluani, ja ei pidä sinua silmäinsä edessä.
15 But, thou, O My Lord, art, A God of compassion and favour, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness a faithfulness.
Mutta sinä, Herra Jumala, olet armollinen ja laupias, kärsiväinen ja sangen hyvä ja vakaa.
16 Turn thou unto me, and show me favour, —Give thy strength to thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.
Käännä itses minuun päin, ole minulle armollinen; vahvista palveliaas sinun voimallas, ja auta piikas poikaa.
17 Perform with me a token for good, —That they who hate me may see and be ashamed, In that, thou, Yahweh, hast helped me and comforted me.
Tee merkki minun kanssani, että minulle hyvin kävis, ja he sen näkisivät, jotka minua vihaavat, ja häpeäisivät, että sinä Herra autat ja lohdutat minua.
