Psalms 76

1 To the Chief Musician. With Stringed Instruments. A Melody of Asaph, a Song. God is, known in Judah, In Israel, great is his Name;

Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Miʼa Ribuutiin. Faarfannaa Asaaf. Yihuudaa keessatti Waaqni beekamaa dha; maqaan isaas Israaʼel keessatti guddaa dha.

2 Now hath come into Salem, his pavilion, And his dwelling-place into Zion.

Dunkaanni isaa Saalem keessa, iddoon jireenya isaa Xiyoon keessa jira.

3 There, hath he broken in pieces the arrows of the bow, shield and sword, and battle. (Selah)

Innis achitti xiyya bobaʼuu fi gaachana, goraadee fi meeshaawwan waraanaa caccabse.

4 Enveloped in light, thou, art more majestic than the mountains of prey.

Ati ifa uffattee miidhagdeerta; ati tulluuwwan bara baraa caalaa Surra qabeessa.

5 The valiant of heart have become a spoil, They have slumbered their sleep, And none of the men of might have found their hands.

Gootonni boojiʼamaniiru; hirribaanis fudhatamaniiru; duultota keessaas namni tokko iyyuu harka sochoofachuu hin dandeenye.

6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Stunned are the horsemen.

Yaa Waaqa Yaaqoob, ifannaa keetiin fardeenii fi warri fardeen yaabbatan of wallaalaniiru.

7 As for thee, to be feared thou art! Who then shall stand before thee, because of the power of thine anger?

Siʼi qofatu sodaatamuu qaba. Yommuu ati aartu eenyutu fuula kee dura dhaabachuu dandaʼaa?

8 Out of the heavens, didst thou cause judgment to be heard, Earth, feared and was still:

Ati samii irraa murtii kennite; laftis ni sodaatte; ni calʼiftes;

9 When God rose up to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

yaa Waaqi, wanni kunis yommuu ati murtii kennuudhaaf, rakkattoota biyyattii fayyisuuf kaatetti taʼe.

10 For the multitude of mankind shall give thanks unto thee, The remainder of the multitude, shall keep holy festival unto thee.

Dheekkamsi ati namatti dheekkamtu dhugumaan ulfina siif fida; warra dheekkamsa kee irraa hafanis ni hidhatta.

11 Vow and pay, unto Yahweh your God, —Let, all who are round about him, bear along a gift unto him who is to be revered.

Waaqayyo Waaqa keessaniif wareegaa; wareegichas guuttadhaa; warri naannoo isaa jiraatan hundinuus Waaqa sodaatamuu qabu sanaaf kennaawwan haa fidan.

12 He cutteth off the spirit of nobles, he is of reverend majesty to the kings of the earth.

Inni hafuura bulchitootaa ni cabsa; mootonni lafaas isa sodaatu.
