Psalms 73
1 A Melody of Asaph. Nothing but good, is God, Unto Israel, Unto the pure in heart.
௧ஆசாபின் பாடல். சுத்த இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்கு தேவன் நல்லவராகவே இருக்கிறார்.
2 But, as for me, —My feet had, almost stumbled, My steps had, well-nigh slipped;
௨ஆனாலும் என்னுடைய கால்கள் தள்ளாடுதலுக்கும், என்னுடைய அடிகள் சறுக்குதலுக்கும் சற்றே தப்பியது.
3 For I was envious of the boasters, At the prosperity of the lawless, used I to look.
௩துன்மார்க்கர்களின் வாழ்வை நான் காணும்போது, வீம்புக்காரர்களாகிய அவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டேன்.
4 For they have no pangs in their death, And vigorous is their body;
௪மரணம்வரை அவர்களுக்கு வேதனை இல்லை; அவர்களுடைய பெலன் உறுதியாக இருக்கிறது.
5 Of the toil of weak mortals, have they none, Nor, with the sons of earth, are they hard smitten.
௫மனிதர்கள்படும் வருத்தத்தில் அகப்படமாட்டார்கள்; மனிதர்கள் அடையும் உபத்திரவத்தை அடையமாட்டார்கள்.
6 For this cause, doth arrogance deck them as a neck-chain, And a garment of wrong is their attire;
௬ஆகையால் பெருமை கழுத்து அணிகலன்போல அவர்களைச் சுற்றிக்கொள்ளும், கொடுமை ஆடையைப்போல் அவர்களை மூடிக்கொள்ளும்.
7 Their iniquity, hath proceeded from fatness, They have surpassed the imaginations of the heart;
௭அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் கொழுப்பினால் எடுப்பாகப் பார்க்கிறது; அவர்கள் இருதயம் விரும்புவதிலும் அதிகமாக நடக்கிறது.
8 They mock, and wickedly command oppression, From on high, they command;
௮அவர்கள் சீர்கெட்டுப்போய், அகந்தையாகக் கொடுமை பேசுகிறார்கள்; பெருமையாகப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.
9 They have set, in the heavens, their mouth, And, their tongue, marcheth through the earth.
௯தங்களுடைய வாய் வானம்வரை எட்டப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய நாவு பூமியெங்கும் உலாவுகிறது.
10 Therefore must his people return thither, And, the waters of abundance, are drained by them;
௧0ஆகையால் அவருடைய மக்கள் இந்த வழியாகவே திரும்புகிறார்கள்; தண்ணீர்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் பரிபூரணமாகச் சுரந்துவரும்.
11 And they say—How doth GOD know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?
௧௧தேவனுக்கு அது எப்படித் தெரியும்? உன்னதமானவருக்கு அதைப்பற்றி அறிவு உண்டோ? என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.
12 Lo! these, are the lawless, Who are secure for an age, They have attained unto wealth.
௧௨இதோ, இவர்கள் துன்மார்க்கர்கள்; இவர்கள் என்றும் சுகமாக வாழ்கிறவர்களாயிருந்து, சொத்தைப் பெருகச்செய்கிறார்கள்.
13 Altogether in vain, Have I cleansed my heart, And bathed in pureness, my hands;
௧௩நான் வீணாகவே என்னுடைய இருதயத்தைச் சுத்தம்செய்து, குற்றமில்லாமையிலே என்னுடைய கைகளைக் கழுவினேன்.
14 And yet been smitten all the day, And been rebuked morning by morning!
௧௪நாள்தோறும் நான் வாதிக்கப்பட்டும், காலைதோறும் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறேன்.
15 If I had thought, I will relate it thus, Lo! the circle of thy sons, had I betrayed.
௧௫இந்த விதமாகப் பேசுவேன் என்று நான் சொன்னால், இதோ, உம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளின் சந்ததிக்குத் துரோகியாவேன்.
16 When I reasoned, that I might understand this, A vexation, it was in mine eyes:
௧௬இதை அறியும்படிக்கு யோசித்துப்பார்த்தேன்; நான் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்குள் நுழைந்து,
17 Until I could enter the holy places of God, —Could give heed to their hereafter: —
௧௭அவர்கள் முடிவைக் கவனித்து உணரும்வரை, அது என்னுடைய பார்வைக்கு கடினமாக இருந்தது.
18 Surely, in slippery places, dost thou set them, —Thou hast suffered them to fall into places of danger.
௧௮நிச்சயமாகவே நீர் அவர்களைச் சறுக்கலான இடங்களில் நிறுத்தி, பாழான இடங்களில் விழச்செய்கிறீர்.
19 How have they become desolate, as in a moment! They have ceased—come to an end, by reason of calamities.
௧௯அவர்கள் ஒரு நிமிடத்தில் எவ்வளவு பாழாகிப்போகிறார்கள்! பயங்கரங்களால் அழிந்து ஒன்றுமில்லாமல் போகிறார்கள்.
20 As the dream of him that waketh, O my Lord! when rousing thyself up, their shadowy being, wilt thou despise.
௨0தூக்கம் தெளிந்தவுடனே சொப்பனம் ஒழிவதுபோல், ஆண்டவரே, நீர் விழிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் வேஷத்தை கலைத்துவிடுவீர்.
21 But my heart had grown embittered, And, in my reins, had I received wounds;
௨௧இப்படியாக என்னுடைய மனம் கசந்தது, என்னுடைய உள்மனதிலே குத்தப்பட்டேன்.
22 But, I, was brutish, and could not perceive, Like the beasts, had I become before thee.
௨௨நான் காரியம் அறியாத மூடனானேன்; உமக்கு முன்பாக மிருகம் போலிருந்தேன்.
23 Nevertheless, I, am continually before thee, Thou hast taken hold of my right hand;
௨௩ஆனாலும் நான் எப்பொழுதும் உம்மோடிருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துத் தாங்குகிறீர்.
24 By thy counsel, wilt thou guide me, And, afterwards, unto glory, wilt thou take me.
௨௪உம்முடைய ஆலோசனையின்படி நீர் என்னை நடத்தி, முடிவிலே என்னை மகிமையில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வீர்.
25 Whom have I in the heavens? And, compared with thee, there is nothing I desire on earth.
௨௫பரலோகத்தில் உம்மையல்லாமல் எனக்கு யார் உண்டு? பூலோகத்தில் உம்மைத் தவிர எனக்கு வேறே விருப்பமில்லை.
26 Failed have my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart—and my portion, is God unto times age-abiding.
௨௬என்னுடைய சரீரமும் என்னுடைய இருதயமும் வளர்ச்சியில்லாமல் போகிறது; தேவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் என்னுடைய இருதயத்தின் கன்மலையும் என்னுடைய பங்குமாக இருக்கிறார்.
27 For lo! they who are far from thee, shall perish, Thou hast put an end to every one who wandered unchastely from thee.
௨௭இதோ, உம்மைவிட்டுத் தூரமாகப்போகிறவர்கள் நாசமடைவார்கள்; உம்மைவிட்டு உண்மையில்லாமல் போகிற அனைவரையும் அழிப்பீர்.
28 But, as for me, the drawing near of God, is my blessedness, —I have made, of My Lord Yahweh, my refuge, —That I may recount all thy works.
௨௮எனக்கோ, தேவனை அண்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பதே நலம்; நான் உமது செயல்களையெல்லாம் சொல்லிவரும்படி கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர்மேல் என்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருக்கிறேன்.
