Psalms 64

1 To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Hear, O God, my voice when I complain, From dread peril by the foe, wilt thou guard my life.

பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, நான் முறையிடும் என் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடும்; பகைவனின் பயமுறுத்தலிலிருந்து என் உயிரைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

2 Wilt thou hide me, From the conclave of evil-doers, From the crowd of workers of iniquity.

கொடியவர்களின் சதியிலிருந்தும், ஆரவாரிக்கும் தீயவர்களின் கூட்டத்திலிருந்தும் என்னை மறைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

3 Who have sharpened, like a sword, their tongue, Have made ready their arrow—a bitter word;

அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய நாவுகளை வாள்களைப்போல் கூராக்குகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் சொற்களைப் பயங்கரமான அம்புகளைப்போல் எய்கிறார்கள்.

4 To shoot, in secret places, at the blameless one, Suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.

அவர்கள் மறைவிலிருந்து குற்றமற்றவன்மேல் எய்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பயமின்றி திடீரென அவன்மேல் எய்கிறார்கள்.

5 They strengthen for them a wicked word, They talk of hiding snares, They have said, Who can see them?

தீமையான திட்டமிடுவதில் அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் கண்ணிகளை மறைத்து வைப்பதுபற்றி பேசிக்கொள்கிறார்கள்; “நாம் என்ன செய்கிறோம் என்பதை யார் காணுவார்கள்?” என்கிறார்கள்.

6 They devise perverse things, They have completed the device well devised, Both the intent of each one, and the mind, are unsearchable.

அவர்கள் அநீதி செய்ய சதிசெய்து, “நாங்கள் ஒரு சிறந்த திட்டத்தை வகுத்துள்ளோம்!” என்கிறார்கள். நிச்சயமாகவே மனிதனின் மனமும் இருதயமும் ஆழமானவை.

7 Once let God have shot at them an arrow, Suddenly have appeared their own wounds!

ஆனால் இறைவன் அவர்களை அம்புகளால் எய்து தாக்குவார்; உடனே அவர்கள் அடித்து வீழ்த்தப்படுவார்கள்.

8 When they were to have ruined another, their tongue smote themselves, All who observe them take flight.

இறைவன் அவர்களுடைய நாவுகளையே அவர்களுக்கெதிராக திரும்பப்பண்ணி, அவர்களை அழிவுக்குள்ளாக்குவார்; அவர்களைப் பார்ப்போர் அனைவரும் தங்கள் தலைகளை அசைத்துக் கேலி செய்வார்கள்.

9 Therefore have all men feared, —And have told the doing of God, And, his work, have considered.

எல்லா மனிதரும் பயப்படுவார்கள்; இறைவனின் செயல்களை அவர்கள் அறிவித்து, அவர் செய்தவற்றைப்பற்றி சிந்திப்பார்கள்.

10 The righteous man shall rejoice in Yahweh, and seek refuge in him, Then shall glory—all who are upright in heart.

நீதிமான்கள் யெகோவாவிடம் மகிழ்ந்து, அவரிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைவார்கள்; இருதயத்தில் நீதியுள்ளோர் அனைவரும் அவரைப் புகழ்வார்கள்!
