Psalms 53

1 To the Chief Musician. On Mahalath. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. The impious hath said in his heart, There is no God! They have acted corruptly, They have wrought abominable perversity, There is none that doeth good: —

സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. മഹലത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ധ്യാനസങ്കീർത്തനം. “ദൈവം ഇല്ല,” എന്നു മൂഢർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു. അവർ മ്ലേച്ഛമായതു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ, അവരുടെ വഴികൾ നിന്ദ്യമായവ; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആരുമില്ല.

2 God, out of the heavens, looked down upon the sons of men, —To see whether there was one that showed wisdom, Enquiring after God.

ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന വിവേകിയുണ്ടോ എന്നറിയാൻ ദൈവം സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്നു മാനവവംശത്തെ നോക്കുന്നു.

3 They all, have turned back, together have they become tainted, —There is none that doeth good, Not so much as, one!

എന്നാൽ, എല്ലാവരും വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു, എല്ലാവരും വക്രതയുള്ളവരായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആരുമില്ല, ഒരൊറ്റവ്യക്തിപോലുമില്ല.

4 Are the workers of iniquity, without knowledge? Devouring my people, [as] they devour food? Upon God, have they not called.

അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ ഒന്നും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ? മനുഷ്യർ അപ്പം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; അവർ ഒരിക്കലും ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല.

5 There have they been in great dread where no dread was, Because, God, hath scattered the bones of thy besieger, —Thou hast put [him] to shame, Because, God, had, rejected, them.

എന്നാൽ അവർ പരിഭ്രാന്തിയിലാണ്ടുപോകുന്നു, ഇത്തരം കൊടുംഭീതി അവർക്കൊരിക്കലും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. നിങ്ങളെ ആക്രമിച്ചവരുടെ അസ്ഥികൾ ദൈവം ചിതറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം അവരെ തിരസ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ ലജ്ജിതരാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 Oh that, out of Zion, were granted the salvations of Israel! When God bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob, shall exult, Israel, shall be glad.

ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ രക്ഷ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു വന്നെങ്കിൽ! ദൈവം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സൗഭാഗ്യം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കുമ്പോൾ, യാക്കോബ് ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ഇസ്രായേൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ!
