Psalms 36
1 To the Chief Musician. Of the Servant of Yahweh—of David. Declareth the transgression of the lawless one, within my heart, There is, no dread of God, before his eyes;
Para el director del coro. Un Salmo de David, siervo del Señor. El mal habla a los malvados, muy profundo en sus corazones, porque en sus ojos no tienen ninguna necesidad de respetar al Señor.
2 For he flattereth himself [too much] in his own eyes, to find his iniquity—to hate [it].
Ellos son tan maravillosos ante sus propios ojos que no pueden ver sus pecados ni hacer algo al respecto.
3 The words of his mouth, are iniquity and deceit, he hath left off to show discretion by doing well:
Cualquier cosa que dicen es deshonesta y engañosa. Nunca actúan con sabiduría ni hacen el bien.
4 Iniquity, deviseth he upon his bed, —he taketh his stand in a way, not good, Wrong, doth he not abhor!
Incluso cuando están en su lecho traman planes malignos. Ellos se dedican a una forma de vida que no está bien. Escogen el mal, y no lo niegan.
5 O Yahweh! in the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, Thy faithfulness, as far as the fleecy clouds:
Señor, tu amor alcanza los cielos, tu fidelidad llega hasta las nubes.
6 Thy righteousness, is like mighty mountains, and, thy just decrees, are a great resounding deep, —Man and beast, thou savest, O Yahweh!
Tu bondad es como las más altas montañas, tu justicia como los océanos más profundos. Señor, tú salvas tanto a las personas como a los animales.
7 How precious thy lovingkindness, O God, —Therefore, the sons of men, under the shadow of thy wings, seek refuge:
Dios, ¡Cuán precioso es tu gran amor! Cualquiera puede encontrar protección bajo la sombra de tus alas.
8 They abundantly relish the fatness of thy house, —And out of the full stream of thine own pleasures, thou givest them to drink.
Ellos obtuvieron fuerzas gracias al gran banquete que proveíste en tu casa. Les diste bebidas de tu refrescante río.
9 For, with thee, is the fountain of life, In thy light, we see light.
Eres la fuente de la vida; eres la luz por la cual podemos ver.
10 Prolong thy lovingkindness unto them who know thee, —and thy righteousness, to the upright in heart.
Extiende tu gran amor a aquellos que te aman, y tu bondad a los que verdaderamente viven haciendo lo correcto.
11 Let not the foot of pride reach me, nor, the hand of the lawless, scare me away.
No permitas que el arrogante me pisotee; no permitas que el malvado me aleje.
12 There did the workers of iniquity fall, —thrust down and not able to rise!
¡Ahora miren! Miren cómo aquellos que hacen el mal han caído a la tierra sin poder levantarse.
