< Psalms 34 >
1 David’s. When he disguised his sanity before Abimelech, —who dismissed him, and he departed. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Let me bless Yahweh at all times, Continually be his praise in my mouth.
David loe Abimelek hmaa ah kamthu angsak moe, anih mah haek ving pacoeng ah tarik ih David ih Saam laa. Angraeng loe tahamhoihaih ka paek poe han: anih pakoehhaih loe ka pahni hoi palai ah om poe tih.
2 In Yahweh, boasteth my soul, The patient oppressed-ones shall hear and be glad.
Ka hinghaih mah Angraeng to amoek haih tih: poeknaem kaminawk mah thaih o nasoe loe, anghoe o nasoe.
3 Ascribe ye greatness unto Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his Name together.
Angraeng to na pakoeh o haih ah, anih ih ahmin nawnto pakoeh o si.
4 I enquired of Yahweh, and he hath answered me, And, out of all my terrors, hath he rescued me.
Angraeng khaeah ka hnik naah, anih mah ang pathim; ka zithaihnawk boih thung hoiah ang pahlong.
5 They looked unto him and were radiant, And, as for their faces, let them not be abashed.
Anih khen kaminawk loe aanghaih to hnuk o: nihcae mikhmai ah azathaih om ai.
6 This, oppressed one cried, and, Yahweh, heard—and, out of all his distresses, saved him.
Angraeng mah amtang kami kawkhaih lok to thaih pae moe, raihaihnawk boih thung hoiah anih to pahlong.
7 The messenger of Yahweh encampeth around them who revere him, Thus hath he delivered them.
Anih zithaih tawn kaminawk loe Angraeng ih vankaminawk mah takui khoep moe, nihcae to pahlong.
8 Oh taste and see, that good is Yahweh, —How happy the man who seeketh refuge in him!
Angraeng hoihhaih to pataeng oh loe, khen o tanoek ah: anih khae amha kami loe tahamhoih.
9 Revere Yahweh, ye his holy ones, For there is no want to them who revere him.
Nangcae anih ih kaciim kaminawk, Angraeng to zii oh: anih zii kami loe amtanghaih om mak ai.
10 Young lions, have come short, and suffered hunger, but, they who seek Yahweh, shall not lack any good thing.
Saning nawk kaipuinawk loe thazai o sut moe, zok amthlam o; toe Angraeng pakrong kaminawk loe kahoih hmuen angaihaih om mak ai.
11 Come, ye children! hearken unto me, The reverence of Yahweh, will I teach you.
Nangcae nawktanawk, angzo oh, ka lok hae tahngai oh: Angraeng zithaih loklam kang patuk o han.
12 Who is the man that desireth life, Loving days, that he may see good?
Kahoih hmuen to hnuk moe, hinglung sawk na koeh maw?
13 Keep thy tongue from wickedness, And thy lips from speaking deceit:
Loksae thuih han ai ah, na palai to angsumh loe, lok amlai han ai ah, na pahni to angsum ah.
14 Depart from wickedness and do good, Aim at well-being, and pursue it.
Kasae hmuen to caeh taak ah loe, kahoih hmuen to sah ah; angdaehhaih to pakrongh loe patom ah.
15 The eyes of Yahweh, are towards the righteous, And, his ears, towards their cry for help:
Angraeng ih mik loe katoeng kaminawk nuiah oh moe, nihcae hanghaih lok to tahngaih pae.
16 the face of Yahweh, is against such as do wickedness, To cut off, from the earth, their memory.
Sethaih sah kaminawk loe a oh o haih long hoiah pahnet ving han khoek to tamit bit hanah, Angraeng mah mikhmai angqoi taak.
17 They made outcry, and Yahweh heard, And, out of all their straits, hath he rescued them.
Katoeng kaminawk loe hangh o naah, Angraeng mah thaih pae moe, nihcae to raihaihnawk boih thung hoiah pahlong.
18 Near is Yahweh, to the broken in heart, And, the crushed in spirit, will he save.
Angraeng loe poek amro kaminawk khaeah anghnaih moe, dawnpakhuemhaih palungthin tawn kaminawk to pahlong.
19 Many are the misfortunes of the righteous, But, out of them all, doth Yahweh rescue him.
Katoeng kami loe raihaih paroeai tong langlacadoeh, to baktih hmuennawk boih thung hoiah Angraeng mah anih to pahlong.
20 Keeping all his bones, Not, one from among them, is broken.
Anih ih ahuhnawk to pakuem pae boih pongah, maeto doeh angkhaek ai.
21 Misfortune shall be the death of the lawless one, And, the haters of the righteous man, shall be held guilty.
Toe sethaih sah kami mah kahoih ai kami to hum ueloe, katoeng kami hnuma kaminawk loe lokcaekhaih tong o tih.
22 Yahweh ransometh the soul of his servants, And none shall be held guilty, who seek refuge in him.
Angraeng mah a tamnanawk to pahlong: angmah khaeah abuep kaminawk loe lokcaekhaih hnu o mak ai.
