Psalms 29
1 A Melody of David. Give to Yahweh, ye sons of the mighty, —Give to Yahweh, [both] glory and strength:
E HAAWI aku ia Iehova, e ka poe ikaika, E haawi aku ia Iehova i ka nani a me ka mana.
2 Give to Yahweh, the glory of his Name, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness.
E haawi aku ia Iehova i ka nani o kona inoa: E hoomana aku ia Iehova me na mea nani hoano.
3 The voice of Yahweh, is upon the waters, —The GOD of glory, hath thundered, Yahweh, is upon mighty waters;
Aia ka leo o Iehova maluna o na kai: Ke hekili mai nei ke Akua nani: Aia no Iehova maluna iho o na wai he nui no.
4 The voice of Yahweh, is with power, The voice of Yahweh, is with majesty;
O ka leo o Iehova he mea mana no ia: O ka leo o Iehova he nani loa no ia.
5 The voice of Yahweh, is breaking cedars, Now hath Yahweh, broken down, the cedars of Lebanon!
O ka leo o Iehova ua uhai i na laau Kedera: Oiaio ua uhai no o Iehova i na Kedera o Lebanona.
6 And hath made them leap like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion, like the bull-calf of wild-oxen;
Ua hoolelele oia ia lakou me he keiki bipi la; Ia Lebanona a me Siriona e like me ka reema opiopio.
7 The voice of Yahweh, is cleaving out flames of fire;
O ka leo o Iehova ua mahele i na lapalapa o ke ahi.
8 The voice of Yahweh, bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness; Yahweh bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness of Kadesh!
O ka leo o Iehova ua hoohaalulu i ka waonahele; Ke hoohaalulu nei o Iehova i ka waonahele o Kadesa.
9 The voice of Yahweh, causeth the gazelles to bring forth, and hath stript forests; and, in his own temple, every one there, is saying, Glory!
O ka leo o Iehova ua hoohanau i na dia wahine, A ua wehewehe mai ia i na ululaau: A iloko o kona Luakini i olelo ai na mea a pau i kona nani.
10 Yahweh, at the Flood, was seated, And Yahweh hath taken his seat, as king, unto times age-abiding.
Ke noho nei no Iehova maluna o ka moana; Oiaio, e noho alii mau loa ana o Iehova.
11 Yahweh, will give, strength to his people, —Yahweh, will bless his people with prosperity.
E haawi mai no hoi o Iehova i ka ikaika i kona poe kanaka: E hoopomaikai mai no hoi o Iehova i kona poe ohua me ka maluhia.
