Psalms 27
1 David’s. Yahweh, is my light and my salvation, Of whom shall I be afraid? Yahweh, is the refuge of my life, Of whom shall I be in dread?
Psaume de David. L'Eternel est ma lumière et ma délivrance; de qui aurai-je peur? l'Eternel est la force de ma vie; de qui aurai-je frayeur?
2 When there drew near against me evil-doers to devour my flesh, mine adversaries, and mine enemies—mine!—they, stumbled and fell!
Lorsque les méchants, mes adversaires et mes ennemis, m'ont approché, [se jetant] sur moi pour manger ma chair, ils ont bronché et sont tombés.
3 Though there pitch against me—a camp, my heart shall not fear, —Though there come up against me—a battle, still, am I confident.
Quand toute une armée se camperait contre moi, mon cœur ne craindrait point; s'il s'élève guerre contre moi, j'aurai confiance en ceci.
4 One thing, have I asked of Yahweh, That, will I seek to secure, —That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh, all the days of my life, To view the delightfulness of Yahweh, And to contemplate in his temple.
J'ai demandé une chose à l'Eternel, [et] je la requerrai [encore], c'est que j'habite en la maison de l'Eternel tous les jours de ma vie, pour contempler la présence ravissante de l'Eternel, et pour visiter soigneusement son palais.
5 For he will hide me in his pavilion, in the day of calamity, —He will conceal me, in the secrecy of his tent, Within a rock, will he set me on high.
Car il me cachera dans sa loge au mauvais temps; il me tiendra caché dans le secret de son Tabernacle; il m'élèvera sur un rocher.
6 Now, therefore, shall my head be raised high above my foes round about me, and I will sacrifice in his tent the sacrifices of triumphant joy, I will sing and touch the strings, to Yahweh.
Même maintenant ma tête s'élèvera par-dessus mes ennemis qui sont à l'entour de moi, et je sacrifierai dans son Tabernacle des sacrifices de cri de réjouissance; je chanterai et psalmodierai à l'Eternel.
7 Hear, O Yahweh, With my voice, do I cry, Oh then show me favour and answer me.
Eternel! écoute ma voix, je t'invoque; aie pitié de moi, et m'exauce.
8 To thee, said my heart—[When thou saidst] Seek ye my face—Thy face, O Yahweh, will I seek!
Mon cœur me dit de ta part: cherchez ma face; je chercherai ta face, ô Eternel!
9 Do not hide thy face from me, Do not repulse, in thine anger, thine own servant, —My help, thou hast been, Do not send me away nor forsake me, O my saving God!
Ne me cache point ta face, ne rejette point en courroux ton serviteur; tu as été mon aide; ô Dieu de ma délivrance, ne me délaisse point, et ne m'abandonne point!
10 When, my own father and mother, had forsaken me, Then, Yahweh, took me up!
Quand mon père et ma mère m'auraient abandonné, toutefois l'Eternel me recueillera.
11 Point out to me, O Yahweh, thy way, —And guide me in a level path, because of mine adversaries.
Eternel, enseigne-moi ta voie, et me conduis par un sentier uni, à cause de mes ennemis.
12 Do not give me up unto the desire of mine adversaries, for there have risen up against me witnesses that are false, and he that fanneth up violence.
Ne me livre point au désir de mes adversaires; car de faux témoins, et ceux qui ne soufflent que violence, se sont élevés contre moi.
13 I believe that I shall see—The goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living,
N'eût été que j'ai cru que je verrais les biens de l'Eternel en la terre des vivants, [c'était fait de moi].
14 Wait thou for Yahweh, —Be strong, and let thy heart be bold, Wait, then, for Yahweh!
Attends-toi à l'Eternel, et demeure ferme, et il fortifiera ton cœur; attends-toi, dis-je, à l'Eternel.
