< Psalms 25 >
1 David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Unto thee, O Yahweh, my soul, would I lift:
Ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ou hiki hake hoku laumālie kiate koe.
2 O my God, in thee, have I put my trust, Let me not be put to shame, Let not my foe exult over me:
ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ʻoku ou falala kiate koe: ʻoua naʻa ke tuku au ke u mā, pea ʻoua naʻa fiefia hoku ngaahi fili ʻiate au.
3 Yea let, none who wait for thee, be put to shame, Let them be put to shame who act covertly without cause!
ʻIo, ke ʻoua naʻa mā ha tokotaha ʻoku tatali kiate koe: tuku ke mā ʻakinautolu ʻoku fai angahala ko e pauʻu pē.
4 Thy ways, O Yahweh, let me know, Thy paths, teach thou me:
Fakahā kiate au, ʻE Sihova, ho ngaahi hala; ako kiate au ho ngaahi hāʻeleʻanga.
5 Guide me into thy truth and teach me, for, thou, art my delivering God, For thee, have I waited all the day:
Tataki au ʻi hoʻo moʻoni, mo akonakiʻi au: he ko koe ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻeku moʻui, ʻoku ou tatali kiate koe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa.
6 Remember thy compassions, O Yahweh, and thy lovingkindnesses, For, from age-past times, have they been.
ʻE Sihova, ke ke manatu ki hoʻo ngaahi ʻaloʻofa mo hoʻo ʻofa mataʻatā pe; he ʻoku talu mei muʻa ia.
7 The sins of my youth, and my transgressions, do not thou call to mind, —According to thine own lovingkindness, remember thou me, for the sake of thine own goodness, O Yahweh.
ʻOua naʻa ke manatuʻi ʻae ngaahi angahala ʻi heʻeku kei siʻi, mo ʻeku ngaahi talangataʻa: ka ke manatu kiate au, ʻE Sihova, ʻo fakatatau ki hoʻo ʻaloʻofa koeʻuhi ko hoʻo angalelei.
8 Good and upright, is Yahweh, For this cause, will he direct sinners into the way.
ʻOku angalelei mo angatonu ʻa Sihova, ko ia te ne akonakiʻi ai ʻae kau angahala ʻi he hala.
9 May he guide patient wronged-ones to be righted, and teach such oppressed-ones his way.
Te ne tataki ʻae angamalū ʻi he fakamaau: te ne ako hono hala ki he angavaivai.
10 All the paths of Yahweh, are lovingkindness and faithfulness, to such as keep his covenant, and his testimonies.
Ko e ngaahi hala kotoa pē ʻo Sihova ko e ʻaloʻofa mo e moʻoni kiate kinautolu ʻoku tauhi ʻene fuakava mo ʻene ngaahi fakamoʻoni.
11 For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, Therefore wilt thou pardon mine iniquity, for great it is.
ʻE Sihova, ko e meʻa ʻi ho huafa, ke ke fakamolemole ʻeku hia; he ʻoku lahi ia.
12 Who then is the man that revereth Yahweh? Let him direct him into the way he should choose.
Ko hai ʻae tangata ʻoku manavahē kia Sihova? Te ne akonakiʻi ia ʻi he hala te ne fili.
13 His soul, with prosperity, shall tarry, and, his seed, shall possess the land.
ʻE nofomaʻu hono laumālie ʻi he lelei; pea ʻe maʻu ʻe hono hako ʻae fonua.
14 Intimacy with Yahweh, have they who revere him, His covenant also, he letteth them know.
Ko e finangalo fufū ʻo Sihova ʻoku ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku manavahē kiate ia; pea te ne fakahā kiate kinautolu ʻene fuakava.
15 Mine eyes, are continually unto Yahweh, —for, he, bringeth, out of the net, my feet.
ʻOku hanga atu maʻuaipē hoku mata kia Sihova, he ko ia te ne toʻo hoku vaʻe mei he kupenga.
16 Turn thou unto me, and show me favour, for, alone and oppressed, I am.
Ke ke fofonga mai kiate au, mo ke ʻaloʻofa kiate au; he ʻoku ou paea mo mamahi.
17 The distresses of my heart, hath he relieved, —and, out of my straits, brought me forth.
Kuo tupu ʻo lahi ʻae ngaahi mamahi ʻo hoku loto; ke ke ʻomi au mei heʻeku ngaahi mamahi.
18 Behold my humiliation and my pain, and take away all my sins.
Ke ke ʻafio ki hoku mahaki mo ʻeku mamahi; pea fakamolemole ʻeku angahala kotoa pē.
19 Behold my foes, for they abound, —and, with the hatred of violence, do they hate me.
ʻAfio ki hoku ngaahi fili; he ʻoku nau tokolahi; pea ʻoku nau fehiʻa kiate au ʻi he fehiʻa lahi.
20 Oh keep my soul, and rescue me, Let me not be put to shame, for I have sought refuge in thee.
Ke ke tauhi hoku laumālie, mo fakamoʻui au: ʻoua naʻa ke tuku au ke u mā; he ʻoku ou falala kiate koe.
21 Let, blamelessness and uprightness, watch over me, because I have waited for thee.
Ke fakamoʻui au ʻe he haohaoa mo e angatonu; he ʻoku ou tatali kiate koe.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, —out of all his distresses.
ʻE ʻOtua, ke ke huhuʻi ʻa ʻIsileli mei heʻene ngaahi mamahi kotoa pē.
